I love your story so much. It's such a testimony to trusting the Lord, following Him, being willing to lose what you want most in faith that the Father will always be faithful and work all things to the good. And when He does, the result is always stunning!

Just leave and don't worry about what they say. Who cares?! And how would that ever bother you if you do not talk to any of those people or participate in the nonsense. You wouldn't be there to know what they said about you and they would not know where you lived or worked or went to church or anything.

I recently start watching you. I found you by accidentally trying to learn about Christian wife submission. Thank you my sister. God bless.

I praise God for witnessing your videos and meek spirit. I'm very elated to see and hear your testimonials. God is so beautiful. The Lord is so wonderful in how he uses people for his glory. I pray that your family remains protected and fruitful, in Jesus name.

That's a beautiful story. Can you speak more on why cutting off the relationship was the "only solution" possible? And why did your husband feel he could only grow his faith without a committed relationship?
@AlanaL3
@AlanaL3 8 лет назад
He was a new believer and didn't want the distraction of having a girlfriend. He wanted to focus entirely on growing in the lord. As far as cutting things off, the word says to flee from sexual immorality. We had to flee, way sooner than we did, but late better than never. Our relationship was corrupt and sinful and dis honoring to God. If we truly wanted to obey God we had to end it. And not talking etc. was just wise. Staying in each other's lives would've kept my heart in limbo, and eventually right back to where we started.

I'm still waiting for my future husband. I have NO IDEA how I'm gonna meet him, or WHO he is! I'm confused. Did you guys get engaged whilst you were single?

That's amazing! So sweet to hear :-) Was Hector ever concerned that you'd end up being with someone else while you guys were apart?

I don't think so. :) I'd love to think he was, but in reality he was ready to move on too. Our relationship was so shot. It took gods amazing healing to bring us back together.

I loved this! You touched on it before, but to see your happiness when you speak of him, etc. So great! But why didnt he know to marry you? What was he thinking??! Lol

+Sarah W I believe that we have been raised on "Hollywood" TV and movies for so long that we copy that particular lifestyle. WHen I was in college I dated a guy for 1-1/2 years, all the while asking him why 'couldn't he commit'? THe answer was always, "I'm not ready to commit".... THen, I got married, and he got married less than one year after me. I always wondered why he couldn't commit to me, knowing he loved me.......... This is a great question!

Thank you:) it's really sad that men have such poor leadership in our day and age. He was just acting like has been accepted by our society for years. No commitment, no responsibility, foolishly playing with hearts and moving in when bored. We are sadly not raising men of character or honor. Thankfully god can change that and he did in my husband and he has provided us with the opportunity to teach our children his world view vs. the world's. :)

Alana, thank you for your marriage testimony. QUESTION: My husband of 22 years left me and the kids this past September 27th. To date, I KNOW there is no reconciling this marriage. We have two children (girl and boy), both preteens and they are 14 months apart in age. How can I find a man, other than my 84 year old father, that can guide them? Did you have your father in your life or did Hector have his father? How will my kids' relationships (possibly) be affected without Daddy home? THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOUR GODLY MINISTRY!

I am so sorry:( so heartbreaking...I did not have my father in my life and hectors father was very hard on him and caused more damage than good in my husband...the lord can use men at your church to minister to them...and he can use this ugly situation to teach them so much. I encourage you to pray earnestly for trust in the lord with your children, continue to reach them Christ, take them to church, model Christian living, and the lord will do the rest. So so sorry

I think that being best friends before you're married is a good thing. However, I must emphasize that I mean being GENUINE best friends. When I say 'genuine' best friends I mean that we become friends with the person purely to be friends with them ONLY, not becoming friends with them because we are already attracted to them and hope to get something more out of it. That is not a genuine friendship and that could lead to us feeling like we're entitled to their affections later on. Being genuine best friends with them means wanting what's best for them and knowing that what's best for them is for them to have their relationship with God be their top priority in their heart and life, growing in Him, being a true Kingdom seeker (Matthew 6:33). Wanting what's best for them also means that even if one does eventually develop feelings for their best friend, they still take it to the Lord and pray to see if it is His will for the two best friends to marry and WAIT PATIENTLY for the Lord to bring it about in His timing IF it is His will. It means, wanting what's best for their friend, even if it turns out it is not God's will for the two friends to get married and they just remain friends. We should also consider that in such a situation, they probably not as close of friends if they end up marrying someone else. In the situation where the two friends aren't meant to marry one another but instead, one friend is mean to marry someone else, it would be honorable and respectful to ease up on the friendship so that the new spouse has no reason to consider their friend a threat. I would advise that out of respect for their friend's marriage and their spouse, that they maybe shouldn't be as close as they may have been before. That is a bit of a tangent, but, it is still pretty important.
