I quit vaping nicotine and snorting heroin at the same time cold turkey I can’t even explain to you what my body went through please anyone reading this stay away from any type of opioid please. I ended up relapsing after a month though so now I’m once again on day 2 of withdrawals and your video is helping me at 7am after waking up drenched in sweat I love you Tom
Keep remembering why you wanted to continue your ife without it, and never loose that thought. Because you will eventually find excuses to go back to it. You need to find a reason to keep living your life without it and maintain that goal, everyday, until you find what were you looking for by taking heroin. As Tom said, there is always a hole that you try to fill by taking external substances.
I used to know a guy who would snort oxy 80's. That blows my mind. I tried smoking a flake... a tiny flake of norco in a bowl of weed & thought I was going to die 😆. Never again!
before you smoke try eating something that spikes your blood sugar (i know this is another addiction), it will help a lot though, i recommend some raw honey for this. On the contrary it will spike your dopamine so you will want to chase instant pleasure again but in my experience the craving is much less then before you spiked your blood sugar.
Stay focused on the prospect of how good you'll feel when the withdrawals settle. It's absolutely worth it! Keep powering through the urge, you got dis 👍

I quit 3 weeks ago. When I have something to do I feel like a non-smoker, but when I'm sitting around and a little boredom sinks in I crave big time. Just got to keep busy! When I'm bored I think I might just start trashing my house and then clean it up.
21:00 totally 💯 When people ask “do you smoke?” Saying “no” is more reflective that you’re free from it, compared to “I used to but I quit.” There is so much freedom in starting to just say “no.. I don’t” 😛
That self-image thing is literally it. Wanting to be part of a club or present yourself a certain way. If I'm honest that's why I smoke and that will also be the reason it's gonna be hard to eventually quit.
well this simulation of a world put your channel in my face today because I was meant to see this. starter with the malayma vlog and then decided to come to your page which I generally wouldn't do. anyone that sees this just trust in what he said with "never quit quitting". it gets easier everytime. you go further and further each time. I was soooooo terribly addicted to vaping and I've recently made it off and I can't believe how easy it was when I just told myself I was done. I ha e kids that I don't want to ever see that so it helps. but just in general if you mentally manifest that will power you can get through it without a doubt. look forward to checking out more of your content man!
I only smoked for 3 years then I stopped because I could not breathe. I just felt very dizzy, my heart didn't get enough oxygen, therefore I didn't even enjoy it, so it was easy for me to quit lol. now a year later a good deep breath outside in the sun is the most blissful feeling compared to anything ever.
Quitting for good has been one of the best feelings of my life. Hope everybody else finds it in them to fight through the first few days-- it only gets easier after that. Congratulations on kicking the nicotine habit dude!
I spent the last week tapering down from a 5 year kratom addiction, and am on day 2 without it. Still feel like shit, but it feels good to finally be doing something about it. Thanks for making this video, it was some welcome motivation!
This is what helped me to quit 12years of smoking habit. Hopefully this blueprint works for someone else too 1. Do not step out of house for 14days and throw away your cigarettes 2. Avoid meals, situations that triggers 3. Drink plenty of water and eat bunch of fruits 4. Get sun bath everyday and sweat it out as much as you can 5. Take hot showers, sauna whatever is available to you 6. Wear jumpers that make you sweat By the end of 14 days you will have no more cravings and have all the toxins out of your system. In these 14days you have plenty of time to think about why you actually smoking, you will understand your pattern I was able to understand I was smoking because of my job stress and boredom and it just a bad circle of habit. I started to walk every day morning in the nature and deep breathing which really helped me to handle stress After 2months I ended up quitting job and Picked up new hobbies in my life It’s been an year and the best decision I ever made My mood, health, energy, taste, breath, sleep quality everything improved like crazy. Remember this, once you realise your relationship with cigarettes, you will also realise it is just a bad habit and habit can be broken. Good luck to you❤️❤️
I beat my nicotine addiction just over two years ago after ten years. Switched from cigs to vaping, and then eventually I just stopped. I still smoke a pipe or have a cigar once an a while, but I'm so glad I don't need to smoke all the time.
I'm not sure how exactly, but through your conversations with Jarrad I have found myself at your channel, watching this video, realising that your videos have saved my life. Thank you.
Man, your story sounds so similar to mine. I now have a 2 year old girl, and I'm currently nicotine and weed free, and it feels good! I've struggled on and off with both substances for over a decade.. I was abusing bongs so bad about 10 years ago I ended up collapsing my lung and ending up in the ER, that was a huge wake up call for me. Congrats on 10 years and beyond my dude!
Thanks brother.. been doing the cycles of quitting nicotine (8 year addiction) for the past 2 years.. on my 5th cycle in the past year right now, longest free period was 3 months.. on 2 days free again right now so good timing! Thanks again
Found you through Jonathan Pageau, I think your interview with him was brilliant. You are a great bridge for his symbolism. I can relate a lot to your journey, having smoked for 10 years and switching to vaping for the past 3. I'm preparing myself to cut that as well and appreciate your insights. I really hope y'all speak again.
Its crazy the amount of How much I can relate to your story. Im still struggling with nicotine addiction, I changed to american spirits cuz I heard they are less dangerous like you said, but Im planning on getting 1 rolling tobacco pack for the summer to try and minimize as much as possible and like you said, tempt myself and change my behavior and mind set about it as well. I feel like there is much potential there. My will power has slowly been increasing and I am very grateful for that. I really believe I can do it, Its just that I have never actually wanted to quit quit, because the thing with cigarettes, its that you don't necessarily feel bad about smoking, its not an escape its a distraction, And I personally have linked it with almost everything (Im pretty sure almost every other smoker too), that its a part of who I am. Sure it was cool as hell and it actually felt nice the first year and a half, But whats the point of still doing it after the nice sensations of smoking have disappeared. I feel like Anybody can quit if he is in the right mindset, and to build that mindset, you need will power, and somewhat of a clear image of who you really want to be.
I hope you see this two years later, But ever since i've tried your method for quitting any substances that I use, For your method i've had a complete success, I just want to let you know that.I am absolutely grateful to you for the places that you've gotten from.
If you could make a video about adding cigarette to weed and the different troubles that might cause, I would be forever thankful (you touched the subject in the video but I think I need a deeper dive)
You are very rational and I like it. Even though you are on the spiritual path, the rational mind always prevails. That´s great. I guess your channel is really grounded spirituality. All the best man. P.S. I´m a smoker, quit for 2 years cold turkey and did not miss it. I like it though. (Not an excuse, I just love it. Guilty pleasure.) All the best Tom.
depends on the cycle lol. Sometimes I smoke a joint in the evenings, sometimes not at all for many months. It's not something I've fully committed to stop completely. At least not yet, but I'm sure that will come naturally :P
I did the same but I found vapes way harder to quit than cigarettes. With Darts you only have one outside but I was vaping in the work toilet, car, house all the time. I quit in January and I gave my vapes away
I only smoked tobacco in spliffs and the occasional ciggy on a night out. I started smoking weed pure and realised that tobacco doesn't do anything positive for me so I just sacked it off easy as that. I think I consumed tobacco for about 7 years.
I stopped 7 days ago….I’m 20 and I don’t wanna ever touch cigs again…I get cravings but that’s not what gets me , it’s the feeling of depression from not smoking but I can overcome it. Besides I feel more motivated to do new things but sometimes don’t actually , thanks for the video though Tom , this helps whenever I have cravings or a bit of depression and just at the right time for me
The "Alan Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking" audio book. Unlikely place for me to find a way out... but that was it...15 years ago. The brain hacking is surreal. Not an ad, you can find it anywhere. Good luck.
Damn that is so expensive for smokes. I thought they were expensive here in the states. A pack of 20 here is like $7 dollars. 10 years ago it was like $4.50
Hahahah you were a "rebel" 🤣 I was too with the same thoughtpattern of why I was a rebel. In the end, Ive learned that being a rebel just to go against the norm etc. could be selfsabotaging. Everyone should be able to rebel against a norm that is biased and onesided, but rebelling just to be different and feeling like people do not understand you is more or less the ego wanting "control". Idk, I really relate to you my fellow aqua 😉
I was 7 when I first started smoking. Only one every day to every other day. By the time I was 9 or 10 I was full time, at least 5 a day probably a half pack by 13. Then I got locked up in juvenile for a year. Started right back up as soon as I got out. Smoked until I was about 22. I stopped for 3 years because I literally couldn't breath, thought I was going to die. Then started back because I couldn't smoke weed due to a job, the first & second cigarette got me high but then it was just addiction. My brother was 5yrs older & we had older cousins, that's how I started smoking so early. Lol I was 4 the first time I had chewing tobacco, "Redman" then it was on to dip until I smoked. I would steal dip & cigs. My bro, cuz & myself got busted & taken to a jail cell. I was crying, my bro wasn't happy & our crazy ass cuz was loving every bit of it, hopping from cell to cell getting threats from the cops. The cells all had a gap at the top that led into one another, he was skinny enough to slide through lol. I can tell you the more you quit & start back, the harder it gets. Smoking has driven my into depression. I hate it but can't quit & I absolutely hate being an addict. My willpower was a hell of a lot stronger 15yrs ago... I had no problems getting off opiates with part of my prescription left & after a week of dilaudid. I had no problem quitting drinking or smoking weed... I was smart enough to stay away from the rest lol. I believe being a smoker was about 80% of my problems in school, I was an addict & didn't realize it, just uncomfortable & pissed until the end of the day when I could leave & smoke. It also affected my artistic skills, when I quit, my tattooing improved immediately. Then went down again when I started back.
Nicotine is the most addictive drug I have ever done. Substituted cigarettes with vapes 7 years ago, finally quit vaping 2 months ago. Feels fucking amazing to be able to be happy without chemical help.
I've been nicotine free since November 2020. Its been a battle and I still have cravings. I had a 3 year addiction, with the majority of those years being addicted to Dohka and salt nicotine (highly concentrated nicotine). This is my third attempt at being done with nicotine. The first lasted a week, the second lasted 2. I've honest to God nearly killed myself at several steps along the way. It is not just habitual patern. It's a destressant, it's a laxative, it's a bunch of other things as well. When you quit, your body will respond in kind. I'm not saying this to scare people away from quitting. Being free from it is incredible. It's more a warning. Don't get into nicotine, you'll never be the same once your hooked.
Could honestly write a book with my drug addiction journey from 12 to 27 currently though I only use kratom and still smoke cigs this whole time, my next big step is quitting these. Getting off cigs is the hardest thing it's almost become like a best friend that's been there all day everyday for most your life it's like a part of you. I've gotten sober from a lot of stuff and turned my life around completely but cigs and honestly kratom is by far the hardest I've dealt with. As I was watching this and saying yeah I'm gonna quit, I actually grabbed a cig and put it in my mouth without even thinking about it like a reflex, that's my hardest part of quitting sometimes I'll just do it without even thinking about it until I'm already smoking it. Crazy..
My friend actually collected the whole collection of those horrible pictures on the tobacco packs :DD It didn't stop him, it became part of the hobby lol
I've taken many a substance in my time, yet, if there's one thing that I ever regret trying, it's cigarettes. Over 12 years now, and I only smoke now when I have a drink (cannot resist). Don't do it guys
Smoking-attributed nicotine is known to inhibit aromatase enzyme activity, which catalyzes the conversion of androgens into estrogens. Consequently, nicotine reduces circulating estrogen levels and leads to early onset of menopause in women.
@@gofollowkinghuskiioneveryt6468 nicotine has cognitive benefits and is actually pretty benign on its own, i'm not addicted to it, but I do love it. Waiting on my order of Swedish nicotine pouches, haven't had any for 2 weeks. I miss it and look forward to it arriving, but it's not as bad as some hardcore addicts make out. Nictoine is a wonderful drug IMO if you can use it responsibly. Cigars, pipe tobacco and snus/nicotine pouches are the best ways to use it.
@@bigchief2331 for me it was a really bad and expensive problem that made it really hard to breath, eat, and do fitness. Natural tobacco without any chemical that big tobacco doesn't produce is a much better option. But still not the best if you smoke it day in day out for periods of time. I am so thankful that I have been released for this horrible habbit I have had since I was 13 and im going to keep it that way because I'm so much happier without it I still have a whole pouch in my cupboard and I don't feel any want for it
I quit smoking a year ago, but I have been struggling, currently on 3 months of nofap and having trouble not relapsing. Your video has given me strength and has helped me bolster my resolve, addictions really are just habits. Thanks mate
Once addicted to cigarettes, alcohol, heroin,….ect, you are forever addicted. Even if you quit and do not ever do one of these things ever again, you are still addicted. Moral of the story….. NEVER start.
these are awesome until u take yur 'turkey' trip!! hopefully seeing travel will inspire me to travel. a neughbourhoid vlog would be so cool in terms of vid ideas, since u asked, but then again i could watch paint dry or soap recaps on an endless loop so i might not be the right person to ask . . .
I find it interesting that this video came out while I've had multiple anti-vape ads. Interesting. Although I smoke vapes and cigarettes, I know he's telling the truth about it, and how it's harmful.
When I was 12 a bad kid I was friends with convinced me to steal my mothers pack of Winfield gold. Opened up a can of worms. 10 years later and who knows how many drugs later im finally picking up the pieces of my life. I got a good stack of crypto and no debt so I guess im not in the worst place I could be
I’m trying to start using cigarettes but every time my throat hurts or I feel I’m making a bad decision and pussy out. How can I get past my fears and make this a habit?
Don’t worry about it, they’ll take care of it. Normally you won’t see addiction coming such as the dopamine hit of acting superior on a non human interaction platform. 🤙. I don’t even comment anymore bc a lot of them are people trying to stroke their own egos. Like yours. 🤷♂️🤙. And it’s mostly children/ppl with little life experience. I’m sure this feels directive but no hate towards you lol. 💯
I quit smoking but I use non tobacco nicotine pouches. I'm sure they aren't too good for you but I'm fine with taking them, I know I'm addicted but I'm fine with that. At least I'm not shooting heroin anymore lol
Those will decalcify your teeth pretty quickly, the pH is too high.... about 6 months to a year.... I never had that problem with tobacco. I used the non tobacco pouches too, but then I switched back to tobacco snus.
the nicotine pouches are good, quality ones from Sweden should be OK. I enjoy them too and I was never addicted to cigarettes. I just like nicotine, and the pouches are the safest way to enjoy it and also discrete and tasty (love the minty sensation).
@@bigchief2331 I used Zyn.... they were from Sweden I'm pretty sure.... maybe another brand might be ok? But zyn decalcified my teeth and had a really high pH.... around 10-11
