I think I started a little too early (2 weeks) when I had too much swelling and my lymph nodes in my armpits ended up hurting the next day, probably from having too much to process, but I began again a few weeks later and have seen a dramatic improvement every morning when I wake up. In the beginning, my surgeon said he hadn’t seen someone as swollen as me in a long time, I’m at almost 6 weeks now and look normal. This video is super relaxing too. Thank you!!!
im currently on week 2. tryingg to get rid of the swelling. i read your reply to someone about how many times a day. but how long did u massage your face for?
I had my double jaw surgery 1 month back and im feeling low cuz the swelling wouldn't reduce! im so glad i came across your video. im going to try this and let y'all know if there's any difference! Thank you so MUCH 💞

Hi Natalie, congratulation for your incredibile recovery. That's my 10 day post-op, and i am still pretty swollen, i find your tips very useful! Can i ask you, how many times a day did you practice these exercises during your recovery? thank you
tysm for this! i'm 9 months out from surgery & had sarpe first and even tho i had minimal swelling (even for single jaw surgery) it was still the most uncomfortable part of the procedure so I'm already dreading the 2nd
Hey!!@@nadiyaparvin6245 Unfortunately, idt I am a good example bc my surgeon, ortho, and my nurse were all really surprised at how little I was swollen. I would say that the lingering swelling I had was primarily in my upper lip and it was mostly just some immobilization for about 2 months at the most. But, for what it's worth I'm in a lot of jaw surgery groups/forums and 12 months seems to be pretty standard. Some people even still have swelling at 16 months. I would wait until you hit a year, and if you still have swelling maybe talk to your doctor about getting your hardware removed if you have any as that seems to be a common cause of persistent longterm swelling. I hope you feel better soon
Can I use a gua sha stone to massage my face ? And if I do should be room temp or cold? I’m one month post op double jaw surgery but still pretty swollen :(
Hi Natalie! I just got double jaw surgery a week ago and was wondering when you starting the massages. I still feel pretty swollen and tender in most of my face so wasn’t sure if I could start yet.
Congratulations on the surgery! I began massaging about 2-3 weeks in, I think. Definitely not when my face still hurt because I didn't want to harm it. Wishing you a speedy recovery 🌟
