The Mughal Empire once reigned supreme over the entirety of India! Great leaders and management created one of the most powerful empires of all time. And then something happened. The Empire declined, and the British moved into India. The British subjugated the people of the Empire, and built an export economy to fuel their own empire. However, the Mughal Empire may have one last opportunity to change their world for the better.
The Mughals have many pops becuase of the sheer population density of the region. They also can easily claim massive amounts of India from the British to grow their empire! Can I unite India as the Mughals? Or will I lose and fail! Find out in today's episode of Victoria 2 A to Z

@SGT's Strategy Games Wool is basically not worth it. However, it is recommended that you have some amount as low income pops have it as a basic necessity so not being able to procure said resources would cause unrest. But yes, unless you install a mod that allows wool to be processed into fabric, it is totally worthless.

Wool is needed for troop production. In my Japan game, and for most of East Asia wool is scarce and limits army size

life needs are universal for all pops, and wool is a life need. Just like cattle. Fish. Grain. the problem arises when you don't produce it efficiently and get outcompeted by better wool producing countries, at which point, raising the tariffs can restore the livelihood of your farmers and allow them to produce more wool.

if you wanted extra jingoism you could've either passed some voting reforms, call elections repeatedly and then spam the jingoism options whenever it comes up or, leave a few of the indian minors un eaten to get your rechavism high so that your pops are more jingoist

A lot of goods in Victoria 2 are important not because they are used in factories, but because Pops need them. wool is one such good. industrially not important but your pops need them to have their needs fulfilled

Wool is used for the irregular soldiers (and is the only thing you need to equip them with) when you don't have access to better resources.

Well the money stayed in India unlike the British. And after few generations of ruling the Mughals were pretty much assimilated into the local culture or became a hybrid culture of both.

@@shohan5772 the first part of that statement is true. the second one is not. the mughals didnt really assimilate that much into the local culture, instead they very much stepped on it. there are some examples (most notably aurangzeb) who executed a sikh religious leader for not converting to islam, and also brought back a tax on non muslims in the mughal empire. though there are also examples of rulers who treated both muslims and hindus fair in the mughal empire.

@@DD-nb9rn In reality the Mughals became more Indian than actual Chagatai Turkic, also that the mughal government and many gobernors weren't muslims they were mixed of many other indian religions in the region, even though they were some mughals emperors *cough* *cough* Aurangzeb which were less tolerant to this, even though the Mughals are considered the 3rd Golden Era of India the Indian government and propaganda ultra fanatist hindu sources in India try to villainize the Mughals denigrating them to "genociders" or "islamic scum" which bring to this "peacefull" region into chaos.

My strat for the Mughals is basically get their opinion at max so they dont declare at you after doing the Jihad. Once you westernize you can even expand into Tibet and China after that, since you can ask military access to the British and the Burmese and just walk into Tibet

The great problem with playing uncivils in vanilla Victoria 2 is how easy it is to run out of resources that should not run out. Electric gear? Rubber? Planes? No problem, no one is buying. Coal? timber? Fish? Not even for your pops, lol. Must be hard to fix, only HPM and successors like HPM+ seem to do it right, making uncivils playable.

About half way through the video, the second time you decced on UK you complained about fish. IF YOU WOULDVE LET THEM SPHERE YOU THEY WOULD GIVE YOU FISH. Then all you need to do is hit the break free of sphere button. Or get GP by building a massive army

You should do the Netherlands game in TGC/The Grand Combination mod since the Lowland have significantly more states meaning you have more RGos also it has lot in similarity to GFM.

One of the great things about the Mughal Empire is as a British Puppet, the territory you can get and the factories, i reached rank 8 GP, freeing me from Britain, and then, trial and error, i became the master of the Indian Sub Continent

there's also the boring way research until you become civilized / westernized, don't declare jihad. when you westernize, an option asking the british for your cores will appear and you can get them back. Plus, since you are still a vassal / satelite, you get discounted research points on the things the british already discovered :).
