CUT THE HEAT OUT! As hard as it was to do, I knew I had to do it! Now I see the length coming in and staying! Our hair loves moisture our hair loves water. With "wash n goes" our hair is constantly protected moisturized and sealed. It looks great and it flourishes in it's natural state! I can't believe how beautiful my hair is. I never knew it could be like this or that we as women of color have this beautiful natural hair!!!!

1. NO HEAT 2. Hair masks weekly 3. Heat up olive oil and massage in hair nightly for five min 4. Use a comb or fingers. NO BRUSH 5. Protective styles- braids, twists 6.

But I’ve been completely HEATLESS for almost 2 years(never thought I could do such thing) and I plan to trim my hair on/before the first of the year and will not put heat on my hair until May 2020 (my Undergrad Graduation) for a length check...maybe?!

1. NO HEAT 2. Hair masks weekly 3. Heat up olive oil and massage in hair for 5 minutes. (Stimulates hair growth) 4. Use a comb or fingers to detangle. NOT BRUSH IT PULLS OUT YOUR HAIR. 5. No need to style your hair EVERY SINGLE day. 6. use protective styles 7. Trim your hair just a bit if there is any split ends BUT try to limit trimming your hair if you like to keep your hair long. Thank you!

@@turiyakiev6889 Personally, my heat damage wasn’t as bad as hers, it was just mainly in the front and bottom back of my hair. But with that being said, I didn’t cut it, it just eventually grew out, it took like a year and a half, but it worked! And I like my hair and my hair texture better now rather than before heat damage.

I cut way back on the heat, I only brush with conditioner on wash day but otherwise finger detangle, cut way back on the washing, used masques, do the quarterly trims after I cut off the heat damaged hair, and now my hair has grown seven and a half inches within the last ten and a half months.

We all want a switch up. I’ve done this to myself twice but I now know how to straighten my hair in a healthy way. I will post a video on it and tag you. Keep your chin up hair grow but our hair grows outward not downward. I would braid it into 4 sections right after I showered so it could be like a braid out, usually I leave the braids in for about a day or two. Its definitely easier to blow dry your hair so if you do that apply heat protectant.

@BirukeDerebe
@BirukeDerebe 4 года назад
Hi there, I would recommend cutting the ends if its not going to cost you too much length. At least give it a trim, split ends(even from fried ends) can cause tangles which can cause breakage and loss of hair. So I recommend that cutting as much as you feel comfortable with, personally I find cutting the fried ends therapeutic... its like I am getting rid of damaged parts of life lol. Then train your hair to curl by finger coiling the hair to your liking. Manes by Mell has a wonderful video about this at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4N_zq_EZcr8.html let me know how it goes :)

Its Peri i had the same problem half a year ago. My mom wouldn‘t let me cut my hair. I annoyed her EVERYDAY until she started thinking about it, showed her before and after pictures of girls who had a hair transition and convinced her that my hair will grow back anyways. After that she allowed me to cut my from belly button length to shoulder length. Hahah my mom freaked out when i came home but it was worth it! My hair is transitioning right now and also getting healthy again. And if she still doesn’t allow you to just cut it out, you should know that transitioning without cutting your hair is still possible. It just takes more time. Keep it up

I know this video old but please read ,,,,Never Detangle wet hair what I learned only Detangling on dry hair in sections with oil like hemp oil or low comegenic before shampoo so you won’t have tangles while shampooing,.. wet hair breaks easily don’t do it, unless it’s tangle and knot free before hand,, & don’t shy away from your trims … PLEASE get your trims every 4-6 months to retain your length that grows.,,this helps prevent breakage and tangles& your curls will pop more and flourish with mAintanace and you won’t need to cut off a lot waiting so long because spilt ends do exist
