I got asked a question earlier this week by a friend, in one of my tutorials, about how I keep my self motivated. This video is the response to that question. Feel free to get in touch via Instagram: samuelsures... MB01PGYDN6FUKO4
I'm not a university student but a professional and I still keep coming back to your videos and learn, reinvent and be a student for life. Keep learning, keep applying, keep growing!! 👍🏽 ❤️
I honestly feel like this is a Kismet moment (what I define as a God sighting or nudge). I have been wrestling with this very question…. I am a 47-year-old mom of two who has homeschooled for the past 9 years. Cancer treatment drastically changed how I (& if I can) approach life and now that treatment is “done”. (My life is forever altered after chemo, surgery & radiation and my days a consumed with prevention chemo) I am trying to ponder this very question. I value and appreciate everything you just offered and I love that your solution was based on others. 😀 I agree with you. I to have found that my answer to the question “why ?” is usually because of the “who”. Who it will affect…. Who it will help…. influence…. & SERVE! ❤ Because that ultimately is what I believe really matters. I have enjoyed your videos for a long time but never spoke up and commented. Thank you for the content that you put out there, it has been both visually beautiful and beautiful from the heart as well. I wish you the best of everything God offers. 🤟🏼♥️
As someone rapidly approaching his 60th time around the Sun, I just want you to know how much your videos (and the lessons therein) are helping and inspiring me. Thank you so much!
Mate keep producing these unique videos. You’re motivational, straight to the point and give off some genuine good vibes. Look forward to the videos each week.
First of all, thank you for making and continuing to upload videos, a lot of us love watching your content. Im in my third year of my engineering degree, basically at the steepest incline of my academic journey currently and needed words like this to drive me forward. Can't wait to see more!
This is an amazing food for thought! I completely agree with you on the fact that teaching is sometimes the best way to learn. I'm so glad I found your channel. Your videos have been really motivating to me. Continue making 'em. Thanks Samuel!
Samuel is completely right when we learn at the same time we have to teach someone about that subject. I myself experienced this in my life, and it's grateful when we end up absorving that knowledgement, even if our initial worry is to show someone how to do it or how to learn about it.
Hi Samuel, I so much admire your attitude, I’m 69 and you find a way to inspire me whit all my retirement projects! You are burst of sunshine in each and every video your putting out! Congratulations for being who you are, the way you are, with honesty and integrity! Hugs!
Thanks for the tips, I really got motivated in a few minutes to do something I delayed for months. Keep up with the good work Samuel🙂 + lovely background music!
Your really inspiring ✨️ you inspire me to be the best version of myself 😊 and your videos don't only talk about productivity and time managment, they talk about your core, how to find your why
Hey Sam, please keep making inspirational videos like this. I love the way you articulate and explain your thoughts. It can help many people to be the best version of themselves. I've been subscribed to you since your first iPad note taking videos. Really appreciate the good work :)
“If you try to be someone else, you’ll become nobody at all. The only great person you have the possibility of becoming is the greatest version of yourself, and that is a pretty great person.”
Samuel, your videos are motivating enough for me. Having said that, this video comes at the right time for my students. Keep motivating not students, but professionals and moms and dads doing homeschooling! #SamuelSureshMotivation
The most important part of this video about motivation is at 8:11. Wow! Samuel, you have activated a light bulb moment for me! This is stuff lectures do not tell students.
Samuel, thank you for this new series of content. I am both inspired and grateful that you have returned to the platform. Like HoneyBadger below I am also a professional who still keeps coming back to your videos to learn, reinvent and be a student for and of life. Many thanks for this ongoing opportunity to grow. Regards Mark
I did the same stats course with primary school level maths proficiency, saw massive equations and was intimidated. However, I had made a rule that I would show up to lectures and if the lectures were boring I would just take notes to keep myself from falling asleep, I took an insane amount of notes. However, what really got me was people were also struggling and bored out of their minds with the course and somehow I started to offer my help and tutored for free some of my friends, although I barley knew the content. When it got near to the end of the course, the once intimidating equations were now simple and the course was a lot easier than what I had imagined, I don't think I could have done it without offering to teach others.
I truly find so much value in your videos. Just a question: When studying, do you recommend taking breaks? The video mentioned to either "choose between taking a break or studying." I thought (I could be wrong) that meant taking a break is not recommended? Any response would be amazing! Thanks!
Well, as an example, when studying a subject that I don't like, I keep thinking about when the break is gonna come, or should I take a break to relive my self? Or would studying more be more efficient? Should I study this when I actually don't want to? So you see these types of internal fights do take a lot of time, from my perspective, I think that's what he meant, I could be wrong though, still, taking a break is good for our focus when we realize that studying more at the moment will only result in a negative way, for me I personally like to stay in the "flow", I study until I feel like taking a break, cuz sometimes I think the Pomodoro technique moves my focus from actually studying to the amount of time left, so it didn't work for me as it did for other people, in conclusion, do what actually is right for you and the way you study, as long as you're learning efficiently in a way that makes you comfortable !
@@Mariam.4445 Thank you so much! I have the same problem as you do when using the Pomodoro timer. I now take breaks when I feel fidgety and mentally tired. But you're right, do what is best for you:)
Hi Sam. Great videos ! an actor voice ! Would you please tell me if we can teach without slides (so boring even for me as a professor, even i'm using less text) and use notability (or whatever app) that helps us make shemes and give the lecture as a story in one white board ? There is an incredible course on coursera of "Maya Adam, MD", as an example ! Thanks in advance for your reply
I recently became a father and I faced this question again _ who is the person I want to be? Because that is what I am offering him as a role model. The definition tax s so many aspect.it needs a whole day to write. Once I have decided, I can execute it to be that person. Why haven't yet i decided?
