In today's video I'm showing you how I use my iPad for nursing school! I show step-by-step how I download PowerPoints to my iPad, how I add tables from my textbook into my notes, how I color code my notes, how I use my Apple Pencil, and even how I make to-do lists in Notability! Switching to a paperless student has made me much more organized and efficient in my studying and note taking. I probably didn't cover everything in this video, so let me know if you have any questions!

My iPad got me through nursing school. I purchased a wireless keyboard, good case, and a pencil. I also had all of my books on the bookshelf app.

I learned something new when you mentioned the notes view option because I've had professors write their notes on ppts too but I didn't know notability could pick that up, great video Mya, thank you!~

Do you only use the ipad? Or do you right some notes? How often are you actually using it?

I use my laptop for listening to the lectures while I look at the powerpoint and take notes directly on my iPad! I took no paper notes at all this semester. I use both my iPad and laptop every single day!

How did you get it to show you the battery percentage for your pencil and iPad?

I honestly have no idea, it showed up there when I connected the pencil. You might be able to add it in settings under the “widgets” option!

Do you need a Macbook to download the files and stuff? Will it work if you don't have a Macbook

You can download Microsoft Word and Powerpoint on the iPad but I'm not sure how well it works... I would definitely recommend also using some sort of laptop/desktop though- there are a lot of programs that can't be opened on an iPad. Either a Mac or Windows laptop would work!

I'd definitely recommend a MacBook! I've notices that my classmates who have PC's are always having to charge their laptops during class or they take a long time to start up. I had my last MacBook for 8+ years before I upgraded, so I definitely think they are worth the investment. They're so fast and they keep their charge all day at school. Especially if you already use Apple products, everything will sync to eachother (photos, texts, etc)
