Transfer of economy will happen, has happened and is happening. It only makes sense to the business, definitely not to the people in that very country.

It's NOT all about cost. There are MANY other factors. Charlimari doesn't sound like she is from a 15K per capita GDP country. Judging from the accent, She could even be from somewhere more expensive than the US

Are you seeking for a job in the US? You can apply for a remote job with block stream trade I heard they are hiring and the pay is good too, look them up

Initially, you got paid in dollars but once banks of the country process it, you get the currency of your own country (so euros). And for the tax, you have to pay taxes for your own country, not the US unless you are less than 6 months in your country then you don't need to pay taxes (that's called being a digital nomad). US clients can still get tax reliefs on their own end same as they would work with US designers.

Only taxes in Europe cos I’m not American! I’m paid as a contractor in dollars but it converts to euros when it hits my bank.

What if you are a US citizen living in Europe who wants to work remotely in the USA. I was told that I needed to be based in the USA. Is based just code for citizen?

If a role says you have to be based in the US it means you have to be living there! Im not a US citizen. My company hires all over the world

Can you please siggest companies that do that. I live in Germany and will love to work remotely for a compsny. I have been without job because of Layoffd at Microsoft last year for over 16 months. Im so depressed and would love any companies suggestion. Thank you@charlimarieTV

I'm a U.S Citizen (and UK) but living in Portugal. How can I find remote US jobs that hire those living in EU? I usually find that it's limited to remote from within US (or within UK) and nothing outside of the country :(

Upwork requires proof that I am not a US person which can be presented to USA IRS so that I can get paid from Upwork. Do I need to prove I am not a US person in case of a remote job like you?

in that case you would need the legal right to work in the country you're moving to (eg: a visa, residency permit...)

You’ll need to speak to an accountant or tax lawyer in your country to get advice on that! Your taxes won’t be automatically taken from your pay check so you have to save the correct amount to pay your taxes in Romania. (That’s why I recommend paying a professional to help you)
