How I would have done Season 5 of Game of Thrones! Feast for Crows and Dance with Dragons Adaptation 

Use Bran and his training to show more flashbacks. Bits and pieces of Robert's Rebellion, maybe some Blackfyre or prophecy stuff. Bloodraven can be explaining things to both Bran and the audience about his flashbacks. We can learn more about the Children of the Forest, the Pact, the old Starks.. plenty can be shown with Bran's story.

This was great! Season 5 was where the series really began to unravel. One thing I would do different is that I would've introduced Lady Stoneheart as a cliffhanger of Season 4.

You are on a roll as of late. If you want a nice challenge try to swap the POVS of each book while trying to keep the story more or else the same

"How are we going to introduce Stoneheart so late?" Lol, a flashback my dude, like the Maggie the Frog scene. If I made the show from start to finish though, Stoneheart's eyes opening would be the final shot of season 3.

I still can't believe they went from splitting 1 book into 2 seasons to condensing the next 2 into a single season

I like the idea of a LSH cold open. The audience can learn about her being pulled out of the river by Nymeria and given the kiss of life via a Bran flashback, which also gives him a role. It also fills in the story gaps. I think there should also be a tourney at Harrenhall flashback for Bran, because Meera tells him that story along their journey to Bloodraven but it was cut out of the show. This might have to wait until season 6, but there should be a scene where Bloodraven tells Bran the darkness makes him stronger, then cut to Arya being blind but her skin hanging powers growing through her use of cats.

I would give Bran small moments with meera and jojen and ofc hodor character and friendship building between the three. Maybe some foreshadowing of Robert's rebellion with jojen and bran talking about stories they were told about the war. Which would be a good way to introduce the daynes. I would also add some bran moments, talking about what he wanted to be, things he liked to do talking about his family, stuff like that. Perhaps even small world building moments where we see more locations and creatures beyond the wall and explore more of the lands of always winter

I think it made sense not to show Bran in season 5, when you come back to him in season 6 it has the effect that the 5 year gap would’ve done. You could still experiment with the trees spying on people, that moment with Theon in Dance would fit well.

One thing i wanna point out is that Lady Stoneheart's timeline issue brought up actually dosen't exist unless you make it so. Just have her have been brought back two weeks after the Red Wedding like the book. You can easily say she has just been lurking in the shadows leading the Brotherhood. You could introduce at basically any point through S5 and 6 until the Beric episode. I'd also suggest adding some meat the arcs. Ik your reasoning but there is a few you could naturally like for example I'd definitely still keep Hardhome for Jon. The season desperately needs a action set piece and this one is absolutely perfect and fits in naturally with the story. Just have Stannis leave in Episode 7 or 8 and give Jon the ships like in the show and boom Hardhome for Episode 9.

So sad now that we never got to see this version of the show. Would have been so incredible. Just imagine how cool Stannis’ scenes through the mountain clans and the grueling march to Winterfell would have been. The fact we were robbed of Davos x Wyman and that secret conversation between them is a crime too

You don't need to cut Darkstar imo. He's a minor character anyway. Plus he looks and sounds cool. We're gonna have to introduce the Daynes anyway (unless Tower of Joy is not a thing in the show at all). Darkstar would give us pretty cool if unreliable expositions. Agree that the show went downhill around this point but the signs were always there.

Me personally I think it was a good call to condense the Dorne plot but I think they strayed to far from the book

I think this video highlights how the show was kinda caught between a rock and a hard place in adapting Feast and Dance. Fan favorite characters like Dany and Arya (as well as Sansa and Bran) reduced to minor characters, half a season of Tyrion jerking off with Illyrio, Jeyne Poole introduced out of nowhere, etc. By your own admission it'd be everyone's least favorite season, which is a tough sell especially after 4 was pretty much everyone's favorite. I would have liked to have seen more practial solutions than just "do the books" or "we'll worry about that in season 6". Like, i agree Arya sweeping floors was boring, but perhaps they could have just condensed her Faceless Man training to one season. Killing Trant or whoever midway through, then most the rest of s6 plays out in the backhalf ending when she chioses to leave.

This would’ve been a great season 5, but I think it would require some slight tweaking of season 4 to set it up. Most notably the the Sansa/eyrie and Greyjoy stuff in season 4 should’ve been season 5 content.

There's only so much that can fit in a ten episode season. I would cut the Dornish plot. I would also cut Quentyn, for that matter. I would merge his story with Young Griff. But instead of getting roasted he claims Viserion. Also, it happens during the Battle of Fire. But that's Season 6, at the earliest. Actually, I think I would do the Battle of Ice in Season 6 and the Battle of Fire in Season 7. I disagree about the season opening. The Lady Stoneheart reveal needs to be treated like a twist. I would do the Merrett Frey epilogue as the cold opener for Episode 10. The last idea that I have is I would make Theon the Ghost of Winterfell. If you look at the books every chapter that's not named after the POV (not counting prologues and epilogues) have a title that refers to the POV. I would include the scene where he meets the hooded figure, and also have him meet the hooded figure again later, in the Godswood. This time he steps forward and pulls back his hood, and he sees his own face staring back at him. He's so startled that he falls back against the Weirwood. Then he blinks, and the hooded figure is gone. That's when he hears Bran's voice and he remembers who he is.

I'm under the impression that Daenerys is the most popular character in the show (which I personally find very strange, given that she's thoroughly unlikeable). I'm sure this was different during the earlier seasons (I only picked up late, after the last season had aired), but in my experience Tyrion and Jon are only remembered today as walking memes and boring characters with no personality.

All's I'm going to say about what you would want to do with Brienne's story is - you would lose viewers. We get more than enough of certain subject matter (ideological) shoved into every single other show and movie, save for a few. It's an understatement to say that people are sick of it. Keep Brienne's story about the search for the Stark girls, have her meet Stoneheart, have her go after Jaime. Simple as.
