Canadian here, love this channel. My brother had his finger stepped on by a machete boot (over 25 years ago, still scarred) and I took a urinal cake off my cheek bone. Happily I have all my teeth.
Oh for the days when the fights got wild. We moved from Australia to Montreal in the late '60s. My mother used to kind of watch the ice hockey from another room. As soon as the gloves came off during a game, she was right there watching and cheering. Didn't have a violent bone in her body, but loved the ice hockey fights!
As an Australian who loved the sport since a kid, before 'Mighty Ducks' movie was released (thanks Winter Olympics), I thought this one is quite funny. 😂😂😂😂😂
Came here after seeing the field hockey counterpart. I'm Australian but follow the NHL and have been to a few games. Oilers fan here so I'm pumped for our second round playoffs match up against the Nucks!
I got to watch ice hockey in Vancouver when visited there sitting right at the front next to the penalty box. Saw the players ram each other into the sides, saw a player taken off on a stretcher, and a spectator behind us up the back taken off in a stretcher after a puck went flying over the glass and smash her in between the eyes. It very quickly became my favourite sport to watch live not even half way through the game. This was also the quiet peaceful game compared to the next one we watched. I LOVE ICE HOCKEY!

In reality, you could only find the punch ups to make fun of (oh, and the machete boots!). Otherwise, sounds like a reasonable game! I'd watch that... I wouldn't play it, but I'd watch it! 😂
H...hill...hill-mitts? Those weren't mandatory equipment until 1979 for new drafts. The last helmet-less player retired in 1997 And he didn't even mention that one time that a player climbed into the bleachers to beat a fan with his own shoe. 80s Hockey was WILDING.
I loved it when the Anti Concussion League used to sponsor Exhibition Ice Hockey games here in Aus. Talk about irony! And still...STILL... they HAD to have a (mild) fight during the match. Every. Single.Time. 😂😂😂

Hilarious! I didn't know anything about Ice Hockey until I watched The Goon a couple of years ago! Went to see a local game in Perth and to be honest I was disappointed by the lack of fights. Not saying it's right but it is definitely a very different sport! Well said once again Jimmy! PS ALDI sucks and sumfink is not a word! (Just my opinion) 😁😁🤣🤣
