Dr Paul Chazot is working on a ground-breaking infrared light therapy that has the potential to help people with dementia, involving a specially adapted medical device that delivers infrared light deep into the brain, triggering nerve cell repair and increasing blood flow to the brain.
Dr Chazot is Senior Lecturer at Durham University’s Biophysical Sciences Institute, where he has been researching novel treatments for the major pathologies of the nervous system.

Sadly, I lost my bottle when I moved, so I'm considering buying MB that is in a quick-dissolve form. You put it on your tongue and it immediately dissolves. Then it's recommended that you use red light therapy within 30 minutes, or go outside in the sun for several minutes.

As people age they tend to drink less and less water, I'll bet everyone who has dementia is very dehydrated, which would cause the brain to shrivel up. Another thing I believe could be a huge influence is copper levels, I'm willing to put a bet on that all dementia suffers are copper deficient. Copper is anti-inflammatory. Low cholesterol is also a major problem as 75 to 80% of the dry weight of the brain is cholesterol, if the body doesn't have enough cholesterol how is it going to replace damaged or old cells? It cannot. There's so mank factors that can contribute to neurological disease... The idea of healing with light I love, we could use the far infrared light frequency pulsed at a healing frequency beamed through the skull and indeed throughout the whole body ❤️🙏
@-whackd
@-whackd Месяц назад
Yes there are several studies on alzeimers dementia and copper levels. I would recommend liver or pate as a food for people in the mild stages, it also provides choline (correlates with lower risk of AD, improves memory) as well as high amounts of copper and coq10. Yes. Cholesterol is important. Statin medications inhibit cholesterol synthesis in the brain because they cross the blood brain barrier. People with mild dementia should reconsider their statin therapy with a full knowledge of the risks--these drugs are linked to memory loss.

Online you can find max 840 nm LEDs among the medical ones; I found 940nm in the category of night illuminators for video cameras, but nothing in the range shown in the video... Mitochondrial dysfunction is caused by lowered NAD+ due to cd38 gobbling it up, which leads to lowered ATP. Also the NRF2 gene shuts down w age, which is responsible for glutathione and other anti oxidant production because oxidation is a side effect of the creation of atp. From hydrogen peroxide. that exact wavelength is more of a marketing sales type of thing, heat lamps for example produce a lot of that wavelength and also several other wavelengths. The light doesn't have to go on your head you wouldn't want to heat up your head too much with a heat lamp you can point it at your feet for example. The theory is that it's helping the mitochondria produce more atp, that enriched blood would then travel to your brain and help the healing process. I have relatives with dementia. I know if I suffered (or ever do), I would want any potential treatment *now*. I understand that something like this isn't proven by large extensive clinical trials, but at the same time niR devices have been around and used enough in general that they're thought to be relatively safe (in other words, "healthy" people who use photobiomodulation devices aren't reporting memory loss or other major negative side effects en masse). I wonder why treatments like this aren't even being suggested as "might work, might not" options, which for someone losing their memory and eventually personality and life, it seems like a worthwhile risk.

The cause is these Ultra-Processed "foods" that we were told were "healthier" back in the 1970s and onwards that are full of gluten, sugar and vegetable/seed oil, eg breakfast cereals, low-fat spreads, "healthy" bread, convenience foods, anything labelled as "diet" or "low fat", ready-meals, basically anything that you buy that comes in sealed plastic packaging. Zero carbs but lots of grass-fed red meat, eggs, butter, fresh fruit and vegetables (ideally raw, or lightly steamed), oily fish (salmon, trout, mackerel or sardines), nuts of all kinds, chia and sunflower seeds, and the best quality olive oil you can afford are the best and most nutritious foods to build your diet around, because what we were told is "Bad Cholesterol" back in the 1980s is actually essential for building new brain tissue as we age, and I'm pretty convinced that a desperate lack of these essential Amino Acids in our diets for 40+ years is what causes the unnatural "folds" in the brain. I consider anything in a sealed plastic package from a factory is all toxic garbage that robs nutrients from our bodies and destroys them from within, and should be avoided at all costs.

The damming factor in our western trained science is our inability to successfully combine, test, various therapies and a comprehensive way for them to help millions. Therapeutics light PQQ, exogenous, melatonin, glycine supplements taurine supplements all have great measures of impact on the very same condition being spoken about. But because everyone is so up their own memory of research, we don’t realize or ever combined anything together. Is it the way we specialize in certain qualifications to the point we don’t know the other avenues of research? Is it simply the nature/feature of capitalism?
@CoinsBand
@CoinsBand 2 месяца назад
I genuinely think it’s due to siloing of information. It takes such a long time to become an expert in one field or on one topic, and so much effort focusing on just one area. I feel people have to become hyper focused on their field, and if it shows promise to them, become somewhat blinded to peripheral (but sometimes very meaningful) information outside their scope. Also though, I think you’re right about capitalism. As mentioned in his video, a lot of money thrown at drugs that target the wrong thing. Often it is marketing and lobbying that drives the popularity and development of treatments. These two factors in concert seem to compound the issue.
@coolhappyblue

@@ForkCandle123 I stated, "Then there's visible light, Near-IR, Mid-IR, and Far-IR, all of which is harmless to us."; I never suggested that UV-A and UV-B were harmless. For someone who's bald, they would use sunscreen on their head, but if you have hair up there, I've never heard of anyone needing to put sunscreen on top their hair. To be clear about this, UV-C light can cause burns in about a minute; thankfully zero UV-C reaches the ground. A short exposure to UV-B is harmless, but the longer exposure (greater than 10 minutes) is the issue. UV-A exposure can be up to 8 hours, but not every day. Clothing does a good job of blocking UV Light.
@ForkCandle123
@ForkCandle123 Месяц назад
@@BobDiaz123 who mentioned a bald person? A hat is always an option for such a person anyway. Exposure is cumulative - day after day - even if 10 minutes a day. Even if clothed, the person may be in a t-shirt and maybe shorts. Even if more clothed, the person will unlikely cover face and neck.
