I find it interesting how Rufus didn't turned out to be like his father when he could easily had been in his environment. Rufus made sure to leave his mark and surpass his predecessors. And not at the cost of the common people (even at the end of the World), unlike President Shinra who had no remorse with the 7th plate incident...

That info is from Before Crisis if I'm not mistaken. But I don't think he was ever the Leader of Avalanche. He helped them by feeding information (maybe funding to but I don't remember), so that Rufus could overthrow his father and become president. But I wouldn't mind if he was made co-founder of Avalanche in the Remake trilogy. It would had more to his character.

I mean yes I might be a little too in love with him to judge but to me his personality alone is absolutely amazing. He's calm he's cold he's manipulative he's cocky and he's so damn intelligent. Yet it's like no one really cares about him cause there's big evil Sephiroth stealing his spotlight😭

Rufus Shinra has mayor role on Original Games,remake just showed some skills that puts him at the same tier as Cloud,Rufus Shinra is a strategist schemist and marksman also he has a high intelligence and finds always a way to win even thought he is losing,i mean he escaped the Diamond Attack he fell from the roof againts Kadaj and he knew that the Turks will came out with something and save him,he was diasarmed againts Cloud and managed to pull Cloud into a death situation,Man we havent seen Vincent yet but i can see the version of Rufus with the feats of Remake game he can stomp Kadaj low-mid diff,so he is very strong,i hope on remake he will do something more greater that has done on original game,Rufus Shinra is a hero on FF7 verse technicaly by destorying the northen barrier and lead the way to avalanche to get Sephiroth
