1st of all, thank you for being here. And just to make it clear. I'm a firm believer that the end of FF7 Remake part 3 will be Cloud and Zack teaming up Vs Sephiroth, the very last battle. If we look at all the things he did he is stronger then anyone else. Beat solo summons that in other ff games destroyed planets. Beat the god of the planet minerva. If he didnt die protecting cloud he would have grown to be the strongest person in ff7

which is why he has to die, he is too perfect and too good to be true. the game story writer of ff7 said so himself. if he lives he actually can surpass sephiroth. he is the only soldier thats actually blessed with great human genetics and he climbed the rank from lowest to highest and beat both genesis a.k.a sephiroth rival and angeal a.k.a his mentor. he never fight sephiroth in 1 vs 1 for real. sephiroth is infused with large amount of mako and jenova cells during he ia just a fetus. while cloud is also infused with large amount of mako and jenova cells to become the next spehiroth thats not on birth. that makes zack indeed as the pure best, skilled and strongest fighter in ff7 universe.

I just want Zack to get his happy ending. Seriously, if Square Enix just brought Zack back to humiliate him and show him how shit life is, I will write a strongly worded letter to them. But seriously though, please give Zack him happily ever after with Aerith.

If such a thing were to happen, then we would need to write a VERY strongly worded email to them. But I'm sure that will not be the case. Specially how the Devs handled Zack in Remake and Rebirth Rebirth spoilers below... What I'm really hoping for is for more interactions between them in the last game. Like how we got in Rebirth, but more!!! They handled that pretty well. It wasn't much, but I'm happy with what we got. Have them doing a bunch of side quests together in Remake part 3 or something like that

I think part of why Zack's suffer and have a tragic death narrative-wise is that the world of FFVII is cruel for idealistic people, while the a lot of morally grey characters who willing to do extreme things survived like the main cast.

Unfortunately you are right. Now matter how much we want characters like Zack and Aerith to be alive, the truth is the world is cruel for people. One of the big themes of FF7 is the coping with loss. Which is what makes, characters like Aerith and Zack being very impactful for a lot of us. And the way their deaths happen. Even if we want to have a way for them to live together in a different world, at the end of the day (and as much it pains me to admite it) that's just wishful thinking. (although I want them to be alive in the end)

With Zack comes Angeal and Genesis... if Zack can come back perhaps Angeal and Lazard as well... I think part of the key to defeating Sephiroth is learning about his past and true origins and that would encompass, Lucretia, Vincent, Angeal, Genesis, Lazard, and a few others as well including Glenn, Lucia, Matt... Elfe and Verdot would play a role as well. I'm interested also in the fact that Deepground is now fair game. With Leslie and Kyrie showing up, I wonder what their role will be and if Evan will be revealed. I do believe Genesis will definitely show up mostly likely near the end... but who will he ultimately end up siding with? His childhood friend or his duty to the planet? I also think Minerva may intervene this time and may use Aerith as a vessel. Zack's ultimate goal is not only to save the planet but to help Cloud (almost like a little brother) and of course, the woman he loves... Aerith.

Great video! One of the things that I'm REALLY excited and hoping for, is for Zack and Cloud to meet each other again And it better be a "Me? Gongaga!" moment in Rebirth or in the next game. Or so help me GOD!

I'm also with you. We got some of it in Crisis Core, but it was very little. We need to have more moments, like the: Zack: A reactor outside of Midgar usually means... Cloud & Zack: Nothing else out there.

That's not the only reason. I expect that it's at the end of this game, that the reunion will happen. Which would mean that part 3 couldn't be call that anymore. The reason that I believe that it will be called "Redemption" is because of Sephiroth's character arc conclusion. Nothing is stopping him (in the case of his defeat at the end of part 3) from going back, again, to the past and do another retry (like a new game++) I would expect for him to accept (at the end) that his hatred for the world is misplaced at that moment. Going back in time, infinitely will not change who he is. Even putting everything under his control... It will never be enough. So if Sephiroth was to let go of his hatred and let himself become part of the lifestream, he would be able to finally be at peace. And that would be his "redemption" (I guess you could parallel this with Darth Vader's redemption too, if you want)

Thing is, Aerith moved on and is now in love with Cloud. It's stated in the Canon novels, and it's implicitly said in rebirth.

It's a damned good theory, I'll give ya that! But I think this game will be too "Japanesey" for the plot to actually make that much sense. Instead, we will probably get some overly convoluted bs reason for all of this, something crappy & disappointing. That's MY game theory.

That would indeed be disappointing, if it were to happen that way... What assures that this will be handled the proper way is how the Devs handled Remake. (despite the setbacks they while in production) Let's hope for the best

That is something that I wouldn't know (as you would expect) (Spoilers from Before Crisis below!!!) But if I can say anything from this is that Elfe has more connections/is tied in with Rufus, more so than with Sephiroth or Cloud. If it's something that I'm very curious to find out is what her rule as the leader of Avalanche (how she performs her role, how is she respect by the members...) and how her relationship with Rufus is. And also Barret's group.

@@The_Mammal_Man I think Broden is Verdot, in Kalm. We see Cissnei so all characters in the compilation are fare game. Elfe's fight with Sephiroth would be amazing to see as she fights on his level in Before Crisis. There is some hope for that as Nayo, Polk, Billy Bob, and Zhijie appear as they are part of the main Avalanche branch. They would definitely know who Elfe is and what role will they be playing? What will Biggs and Zack talk about?

Cloud has the plot armour to begin with. Should have died from severe mako poisoning but didnt. Zack can defeat Sephy if the devs do it right this time.
