in texas you can do 5% or 2% tint on all windows including the front windshield as long as you have a doctors note! tx dps states "any medical doctors note will suffice" i used doctors on demand! live video chat and told the doc my eyes hurt when driving. she wrote a note and now i cant see out my windows at night🤣
Y'all did a really good job. Was thinking between 25 and 20 percent. I think I will go with 25 on the sides, 15 on the rear windshield, and 15 on the uppermost part of the front windshield (AS1 line).
Glad we helped you make your decision- when we were looking to get our tints done we couldn't find a video that showed it so we made one! Please consider subscribing for more car content!
15 on rear windshield will be hard to see through at night keep in mind visibility goes down drastically at night lol I had 5 percent all around including rear windshield I couldn’t see shit switched to 25 all around it’s a better balance between day also night imo
I was debating but 25 is safer because it gives you a bit of privacy but at the same time people can still see you through inside the car and cops won’t suspect as much you can even do 50 on front shield and won’t tell if it’s tinted or not but when it rains the windshield darkens a little give you car a personality
@@AmericanVsImports 35% very safe 5% super dark Somebody almost hit my car because they was driving with 5% tint the windows all the way around 20% safe to drive
Born and raised in Texas, and living here for almost 5 decades, and installing super/very DARK TINT on the WINDSHIELD & 2 FRONT WINDOWS is SUPER DUMB, period. Drive 80Mph+ at night with heavy rain (thunderstorm), and I'll see that in the hospital (or funeral parlor). I tried almost all percentage of tint, and having very dark tint on the windshield, plus all the windows will make it UNSAFE, not just for you, BUT also to OTHERS on the road, period. I hope TEXAS (and other states) Highway Patrol will PULL OVER all drivers who are putting DARK TINT on the windshield, and also in the front windows (I'm OK with the rear passenger side to have even 5% as they are NOT driving. Only MORONS will just use the darkest tint (even they don't NEED it), as they put OTHER DRIVERS on the road the possibility to have an accidents (especially at night with rain, etc..). Please USE COMMON SENSE, not your "feelings"! Have a great day to y'all!
Lol even in your recollection of driving with the 25%, we can literally see you near panicking over it again, so no its' not "fine". But who cares about other people's lives anyway?
What do you think about the chances of getting pulled over for a 20% tint in CT? I've been living here for 25 years and have found the cops to be pretty "hands off" when it comes to harrassing the citizens.
Would have done a great job - but, you picked up the wind in the video, so I could not hear some of the video. That said, it was informative to know those heavily tinted windows are illegal in CT. There is a certain limit to tinting!
In South Carolina the legal tint limit is 27 all over. I'm thinking about getting 15%, 27%, or 10%,25% I just want privacy without getting pulled over.
@@dajourlivingston27 yeah i have 5% & honestly 10% is probably just as illegal so its really up to preference i live down south so alot of ppl have dark tints
I also live in CT . I have a camry with 15% all around and 35% on the windshield with a 5% brow. I also have a g37 with 5% all around and I'm considering 25% on the windshield. Out of all the times I've gotten pulled over with the camry in the past 5 years I've only had one cop even mention the tints and that was the reason he stopped me(in Farmington, CT). I do most of my driving in the hartford area and most cops don't care about tints I find in moat areas as long as you aren't doing anything stupid in front of them. The only issue I have with visibility would be when it's raining at night. To fix that I just installed bright fog lights for the camry. But backing up at night can be an issue sometimes. I can say you get used to it within a week though. At least I did. I dont have any plans to ever go lower than 15% on my cars. I wish I went 5% on the camry. If I keep it long enough I'll probably redo it though. The tints are 5 years old
I was thinking of 25. We can have 28 in the front two windows and 15 everywhere else. I like how 25 look might do that for front and 5 for the back maybe 0
my tints im going for a gradient. im going to have a 5% on that front windshield strip, ill do 30 for front seat, 25 for back seat, and 20 for back windshield. my maxima is going to look sick
On the Subaru and lightning there is window tint of 5% on the very top of the windshield which is legal as long as you have it above the little black line
My trucks 20% on the windshield and 5% all around. My cars 50% windshield and double like all around. Tbh I’m probably going to change the windshield on my truck to 35% cause I can’t see much at all through it at night on dark roads. Even with my led bar and brights on it’s hard to see anything. My car is perfect though.
Be great if there were some consistency in the ratios. Some say 5% for limo darkness, others say 95%. It’s a complete guess what people are taking about. Where I’m from you can’t block more than 35% of light coming through, so 65% of light must come through front windows. What tint would you call that, 35% tint or 65% tint? 🤷♂️
@@jim5789 the sub is complete. I woke up this morning and my hair was immaculate; didn’t even need the consultation I don’t know how he did it but he held up his end of the deal
25% in north carolina is illegal but I like 25% oh...in rear windshield do you think ok or legally 5% in north carolina ? Please answer 😊 I wanna do glass tinted as soon, nice video btw good work 👍
I just got my 20% tint here in Virginia which we are only allowed to go 35% and up. I am always scared of being pulled over. I did not expect it is gonna be this dark.
I’m in Connecticut too! I’m 18 and I’m getting my first car. I really want to get 5% but I don’t know if I’ll get pulled over a lot. I really don’t want to deal with it but I really want to get 5% lol. Any tips?
Great video just watched from Detroit! Sounds like the best tent percentage for all cars to keep the cops off especially people that drink or smoke and drive That would be %35 tent for the front driver and passenger side windows Leave the front window clear if I was you! %5 for back driver and passenger windows and back rear window All the cars and tents on them look beautiful and I find this video very short and helpful thanks again! 💯💪👍😎
Facts I didn't do my research before getting mine tinted. I did 35% in the front and 20% on the back. The front windows are too light when you get closer or when the sun hits it.. Wouldn't recommend 35% if you want privacy. 20% or 25% all around is perfect.
@@bigboy6969100 I believe in Fl the limit for cars is 32 on the front. The rear can go darker. I have 35 on mines. You can check online for the law in Florida and what is ok. For vehicles that are commercial like vans I believe it's different. 35 is dark enough for some privacy. At certain angles or gloomy days or at night it can be hard to see inside. On suny day time you can see inside. But the benefit is also that at night you have good visibility from the inside out. Dark tints especially the cheap ones make night driving pretty hard and I find it dangerous. And then add rain to that and you better just stop and pull over because you can't see. I drove my sister's boyfriends ram the other day and it was only evening and I had to roll down the window to see, I could barely see the side mirrors on the truck. I don't know but his tints are like 15 percent or something. Honestly it frustrated me a little. My tints are high quality and the visibility is very good at night. 35 It's basically a pretty good sweet spot. If I could I would do 20 all around. But you can go 35 on the front and 20 on rears and even go 15 on the back glass. When you do this it allows less light into the car which helps the front 35 look a little darker. A little trick I like to do. Hope to his helps. 👍
@@AmericanVsImports yeah but the higher quality tints are super easy to see out of. Some of the dyed tint or low quality tints can make your window hazy and hard to see out of no matter what level. In Canada we use mostly high quality stuff
For the truck from NY how do pass inspection with tint on to 2 front side windows just bc you can’t have any tint on the 2 front sides. Had to take mine off to pass inspection.
