That scene of him in the tub with Brianne was a masterclass in acting in the show. Thats when I started liking Jamie.

The books might not state an explicit reason for him sitting in the throne. But it would have been remarkably out of character for Jaime to not be found relaxing in that throne. If you are Jaime Lannister, how do you NOT sit in the iron throne right now?

I like one scene in books, where tyrion dreams of having two heads and killing everyone. He kills tywin and others laughing every time. finally he kills jaime as well laughing but only to realize that his other head was weeping. I think this brotherly relation will eventually get stronger in the end.

You know why he sat there. If you had the chance to sit on a King’s throne, you’d do it simply to feel what it’s like.

Jaime could have just subdued Aerys and waited until Rob and Ned came and that would have been it. But it's George' story and character development for Jaime.

Hands down Jamie and The Hound are the best characters in the books and the show

Jamie’s and jon’s story are actually the same Both didn’t dream of inheriting anything and just wanted to be good and respected men but their families and their circumstances only made them miserable and made them fight others wars their whole lives The only difference was jamie’s worst (and best) act which was slaying his king happened when he was young and he lost all faith in the corrupted system and the meaningless outh from the start which affected him negatively and made him worse while jon slaying his queen came later in his life after many heroic acts and building his reputation as a honorable man so he wasn’t judged like jamie but at the end both understood the true meaning of honor

Jaime has had such a large character arch. I hope he is one of the surviving in the end, and him and Brianne end up together.

i hope he sits on the throne, jamie is the anti hero in this story. deserves more so then john.

i love all of your videos, but i also have a question for you are you ever going to do a character bio for the characters.

Didn't Tyrion find some of the clay urns filled with wildfire that the Mad King ordered placed. Jamie was a hero. He was the most knightly knight. Yet no one will see him that way. Just like the Hound.

Going through the books, it was really interesting to go from an outside perspective of others seeing Jaimie as this arrogant prick who thinks he's hot shit, to a first person perspective, where we see how he views himself and others. I find it fascinating just how humble he was capable of being towards other great knights and former King's guardsmen. He was even able to acknowledge the incredible strength and stamina of Brienne of Tarth when she managed to fend off his attempt on her life when he got hold of a sword. It's honestly probably at least a small part of the reason why he started to take an interest in her.

I know I can't be the only one who finds similarities between Jaime and Itachi: - Both were prodigies favored by their fathers with high expectations - Both were employed at a young age (Kingsguard and Anbu) - Both loved their younger brothers - Both had to assassinate to save countless lives at a young age - Both had to endure slander for the assassination and played the part. - Both end up being hated by their younger brothers
