I have gained so much insight from this podcast! I was unsure as to what to expect by the title and was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed the studies backing the conversation and will be checking out another one of the Bethke's book recommendations! This podcast had me reflecting on the moments from my childhood and wishing there were more I could recall, yet I enjoyed all of the ones that came to mind. I appreciate the word of caution geared specifically to living in the American culture as I can see where my family fell into this notion of "individualism" and really struggled to foster community-focused time and commitments. I hadn't realized the importance of living and working in community until going away to college and absolutely thriving in the new sense of "living life together." I am currently studying to be a secondary education teacher and have found this discussion applies to the type of classroom atmosphere I want to embellish. If I teach 8th grade, how can I really signify for the students the great shift in responsibility as well as opportunities going into high school? If my students' families are on the less involved side of the spectrum, how do I show all students equally that they are going through an amazing transition and should both celebrate and prepare for these changes? I could apply this to every grade level I may teach. Thank you both for this podcast episode; it has given me lots to think about!!

Ok so now I watched the whole episode. You touched upon the very topic my mom and I were talking about today. We were saying how it's important to take pictures at events or fun times or moments because we can't possibly remember everything that happens everday. So that was cool that you guys talked about moments that can change your entire life or shape your character. It's good to remember how you've had fun with others or accomplished something difficult. I love this podcast except for Jeff comparing the season of fall to poop. Lol 😆

That it doesn't have to be "OVER THE TOP" to be memorable. Love this, love u guys. Thanks :)

Well, the tangent on the poop spectrum really made me think!!🤣 Loving this series...my hubby and I are tuned in and still talking about how we could "remember" a moment one way, compared to how the moment may have really been in actuality...crazy to hear the Disneyland study.

I know you usually do relationship stuff but I was wondering if you would mind speaking about how to honor your parents when they are mentally and verbally abusive. Really struggling with it lately and asking for forgiveness every night.

Candy kickle Know that the Lord is your heavenly father and you can put your respect and love in him! My parents divorced and left me and I too struggled with this for the longest time. Know that it is not your fault that your circumstances are the way they are. Keep walking in unison with the Lord and know that he will take care of you!

I am Gali, in the year 1980 I lost all my hopes, I became a thief and club dancer. At that time I heard about Christ, the Lord spoke with me though the Scripture. JOHN 14:6 “I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.” I surrendered my life to Lord Jesus and confessed that He is the only Lord and died for my sins to deliver me from all my sins (Karma). When I totally surrendered my life to the Lord He has delivered me from evil spirits, which suffered me about 6 years. I became a new person in Christ. I love Bible so much and started memorizing the scriptures. By the grace of God I have memorized Five Thousand (5,000) Verses from the Holy Bible. Every week I also remember all the verses. Morning time I remember about 1500 verses for praise, worship and prayer. (Including 100 Psalms). This practice helps me to grow strong in the Lord and also to help others for the glory of the Lord. John 14:6 is my favorite verse; I preach this word to many unsaved people that they may find the peace in Jesus Christ because He is the Lord of all. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GWViryWWch4.html

I have a question for you start off by I want even watching you guys for a very short time but you seem like you’re those so-called Christian people I have recently I have been thinking about this actually for quite some time now I’m a person I don’t believe in something that I can’t see talk to or touch so therefore I am on the edge of becoming an atheist what are your thoughts about that how can you prove to meThat there is a God I just kind of find it hard to believe you or somebody else there I don’t know I just have been confused about this for a long time and I’m in my 60s now so what are your thoughts about it I live in Hawaii so that you know that I don’t know are you where you’re at but I would really like to hear back from you

Fervently ask God to reveal Himself to you. He says in the Bible that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek after Him. The mere fact that you have a desire and want proof is most certainly God tugging at your heart. Continue seeking. Pick up the Bible and start reading the book of John, Psalms and/or Proverbs and that will help you. I am praying for you.

Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Falls color spectrum sucks? You probably get more of a color spectrum in a lot of places than any other season? I am guessing you are from western WA like me? Still don't understand how you can say that.

Okaaaay mr. “I hate what culture loves!” 😂 pretty sure that’s just your enneagram 8 talking when it comes to fall. I don’t believe you actually hate it. Most people like fall so it sounds like you will naturally gravitate to the opposite feeling 😏 I do like these video podcasts though 👍
