This video brings me badk to my home country, we used to have power shortages, and I definitely got some of my pc components fried because of that. Great review!
Thanks! Yes, It is something we take for granted. That Alienware desktop cost me $1500 and was only a couple of months old when the motherboard got fried. I had other PC rigs going at the time of the storm and they were fine. Fortunately Dell replaced it for me. You can also take a UPS on the road too in case you need to power something.
I have run my laptop for 6h straight on a 100w solar pannel and a baseus car charger. It has a 100w usb c out and my laptop charger is 120w. Basically on a sunny day you have an outlet.
O yes, having UPS is a great asset if you get often power shortages to avoid power surges which may damage components. I'm thinking to buy UPS together with power station about 3.5kWh because due to the new rules about electricity which will go often quite bad. That's due to the badly planned restrictions for electricity which is going to make all people here focus all appliances to the specific time to reduce bills which is going to make a total overload... which I'm afraid of because electricity's infrastructure is quite bad. Otherwise a very good review and you gave me a rough idea how much time would my equipment would have with 3.5kWh power station. Thanks 😉
I have two of these. My fans kick on every once in a while. It's a little annoying at first but I've gotten used to it. They do also smell for a few days.
They need to offer a free update cable and firmware patch. I own 3 of these. LiFePO4 is the only way to fly, but holy crap do we not have any competition here. I have to have an old Lead Acid UPS powering nothing just for the USB connection to tell Linux to shut my thing down. Then the fans and alarm are still screaming at my sleeping family the whole time. I'm going to have to rig up a Rapberry Pi just to press the power buttons on these things. Sad!
