Danny "Were you experiencing the same (technical/lag) issues as Hans was experiencing?" Magnus "Yes, I was experiencing the same issues of blundering." If ever evidence was needed that smart people don't need to use abusive language to put their opponents back in their place, this is it.

@@tanaelbudiman6392 Totally agree. Hans trying to show that lag moved that knight the second time as a an attempt to offer some kind of proof of malfunction reminds me of a guy I used to golf with--if he hit a bad shot he would always blame his clubs, and then he'd childishly hit another shot purposely bad as proof of how "bad" the equipment was, and that he couldn't play with it anymore. Another friend of mine finally had enough of the complaining and grabbed the "bad" club and nailed a great shot and the guy left the course immediately. In the same vein, I wish Magnus had switched computers with him and continued smoking him--that would have been the nail in the coffin of this nonsense.
@melechgadol
@melechgadol 5 дней назад
@@brianthedog2004 that's just how sore losers are, while magnus is humble and even when he loses, knows that no one else is at fault except him and his bad plays (not that I understand any of the plays he makes, being a 700-800). Makes me really look up to Magnus, he knows that it's just a game while Hans thinks he is Lex Luthor or something like that, makes magnus look so much better in comparison. Also in my opinion, magnus has a lot more to lose in this match (defending his title as "the greatest chess player") and still being this humble is crazy.

I'm not a big Magnus fan in particular - he's amazing but seems like a bit of a dick - but it's pretty well-established now that he's not just "one of the best." I think it matters because it plays into how Hans' trash talk comes across as more trolling for views & sponsors rather than genuinely being convinced he's a stronger player right now (hard to see how he could really think that; believing he'll *become* better is fair enough - just being a really motivated competitor!)

Nothing is as embarrassing as these egos, Magnus included, playing chess doesn't make you intelligent, it makes you a good chess player, nothing else. These interviews where they are arrogant at a Cristiano Ronaldo level of narcissism are just hilarious, but don't take what they say seriously, only their chess is serious, their persona and talk is not.

@@ikb7375 he deserved the defeat, magnus keep dominance for 10 years imagine being a lame streamer trying to talk shit to arguably the best chess player of all time, one thing is having confidence other thing is being a delusional dummy

If losing 17.5-12.5 in the semifinals against the #1 and world champion is "being humbled" Id like to get humbled lol. People give hans so much shit even though he only just became a super gm. Losing by only 5 points in a format where you are less likely to see a draw compared to longer time controls this seems like a pretty decent results against someone like Magnus carlsen actually.

Yeah, when you claim you've broken the all time best chess player in history by defeating him once, when you regularly annoy people with your grandiose delusions that you're the greatest player incoming, and then get adopted by the top 2 players in the world --- yes you are being humbled.
