The only thing new in the market is GM employee pricing and other dealers just wanting to match that pricing for the the general public. One thing no one talks about is if you want your own spec and not something the dealer ordered for itself then you’ll be met with some MSRP pricing normality. We are also late in the C8 generation.

just a coupe years ago my local dealership (Roseville Chevy) had a C8 I really wanted but were asking 15k over sticker! I even offered them 5k over sticker back in the day and they said NO. Now that same dealership calls me all the time offering me C8s for under sticker and i just laugh at them and let them know this is what they deserve.

Picking up a 2024 2LT Stingray tomorrow at Ciocca in Atlantic City NJ. MSRP was $85,535 and paying $75,112. Over $10,000 of the sticker. Could not resist.

They went from conventional automatics to dual clutch transmissions . They are more responsive but more finicky and prone to break down . If I have to have an automatic give me a real a automatic not a dual clutch or a CVT .

I just got my 2024 C8 Z06 1LZ 2 weeks ago for 3K off MSRP in Ontario, Canada. I consider myself super lucky to find one in stock with no wait with 3K off. Although the finance rate at 5.5% was kind of not great. I still couldn’t resist myself and went through with the purchase. I’m trying to complete my 800km break in before the season ends which is rapidly approaching lol.

Screw Stonbriar they sold me a brand new truck that had engine problems at 10k miles and other issues they never fixed all the problems and started trying to minimize their damage so after dealing with their terrible customer service and having a full blown argument with the owner I ended up selling my truck cancelling my C8 order and ended up buying a use C8 from another dealership and WILL NEVER GIVE STONBRIAR CHEVY ANY OF MY BUSINESS EVER!!! No surprise they have tons of inventory people locally are catching on to their shady business practices and simple don’t want to buy from them!! So good sit on your inventory go buy a Chevy from Huffines!!

Yes they are $150k, but the amount of technology in them is exponentially higher. The entire 'chassis' is more of an aluminum monocoque. The cost to fabricate the factory to manufacture it is all part of the cost. We are fortunate the z06 only costs $150k. The equivalent mid engined car is double the cost. Im not saying its fair, but with as crazy as inflation is, the costs make sense. As with anything, part of the problem is the vast number of people willing to pay over sticker.

Hint - don't price your dream car in $'s. Think about how many ounces of gold it will cost. Watch the price really drop. You may be able to pick up one of these - spec'd out the way you want for much much less than now. Gold - $2658 now - perhaps the 'Vette is now 45 ounces. I'm not interested until the 'Vette is say 20-25 ounces.

Good, let these Chevy dealerships rot... They were so greedy and rude back during covid. Chevy could have stepped in and stopped these dealers from charging these markups but they did nothing. Then with these waitlists and every dealer stating they can't put me on the waitlist cause its filled unless I want to drop $20-$50 over MSRP. Well here we are, Z06 engines blowing up, lots fills with discounted Stingrays and now Z06's are discounted too, lmao. The value of these cars have done a 180 since covid. Go Chevy!!!

It’s funny you said that the Stingray is not sitting on lots very long when in the same sentence you said other dealers can’t sell them and are sending them to this dealership that is selling them? I think the ship has sailed on this model and normal working people don’t have $100K+ for a weekend toy. It’s just a matter of time before Chevrolet cuts a shift at Bowling Green because pumping out all those vehicles that are not selling is only going to make things worse at the stealerships.

The Corvette was always for the average working man or woman. The C8 Z06 basically doubled in price from the C7 Z06. The average starter home is $500k as like everything else has gone up. That turbo 4 spits out needle bearings with some frequency per the mechanic that works on them daily at my local GM dealer. I wanted a Canyon Denali with the same motor and he said don't do it. They also leak fluids and have several other issues.

Bomnin Chevy in Florida is $8,000 off C8s. The market has crashed!! I sold my 2024 riptide blue 1LT z51 magride coupe back to the dealer in may for $72,000. And in return waiting for parts RECALL they left it sitting there for 4 months before they could warranty fix the recalls and sold it for $2,500 less money than what they gave me !! The market is DEFINITELY CRASHING!!!! Unfortunately 😐 they wouldn’t have bought my car outright if they had known about the awaiting parts warranty recall. I lucked-out!!!!!

Great video! I purchased my first Corvette from Jack back in 2019 and he was excellent to deal with. A few weeks ago, I purchased a C8 HTC from them and took advantage of the $7k off. Great place to buy a Vette and in reviewing their current inventory, I don’t see many of the C8s that were there when I bought my C8 so Jack was correct in saying that the inventory is moving fast. In my experience, Stonebriar is a no BS dealership and I would buy from them again. Stay safe Mike!

Big dealers have inventory. However, if you visit a dealer with high average days on lot then that dealer is hard to do business with almost every time.

When the C8s first came out, the $58K price made them very affordable to most people. I called my local Houston dealer 3 times with the intention of buying one, I never got a call back. Now a few years later, they're $80K+, and inventories are growing. I'm still interested in buying, but it would take a $10k price reduction and a 3% loan to make me pull the trigger. I understand everything goes up in price, just like my salary has, but I'm not buying at $80k+, $70k-ish is less than I paid for my F-350, so I'm in at that price point.

If inflation was a flat 3% over the past 8 years that 76k would be a bit over 91k today, yet here we are at a 130k starting price for a Z06. I know inflation hasn’t been anywhere near 3%, closer to 8% a year over that 8 year period. Car inflation and home price inflation are criminal

Workers are fearful about the economy because unhinged lunatics, that are in the thrall of the psycho-pathological liar, convicted rapist and fraud Dumb old Trump, are unprepared to spend what little money they have on unessential products. The problems are compounded by irresponsible media and ignorant people on here selectively reporting 'news' about the economy. What they should be reporting is how companies continue to pay the lowest wages they can get away with while making ever greater profits for the investors that contribute nothing to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of this once great manufacturing nation. Our manufacturing capacity has been degraded by successive right wing policies to the point we can't even build new ships for the navy and are having to get them built south Korea! Very discretely, of course. In chasing ever cheaper products to sell to Americans that are earning less and less, we've exported jobs offshore, and now we no longer have the manufacturing skills to build high quality products at home. Look at the state of Boeing and Chrysler for example. Both are charging inflated prices for their products that has resulted in them losing sales so the are losing huge amounts of money they don't have!

I like the inventory videos, Mike. That red Z06 is a nice build and seems like it would be a good find at 3K off. I do like those Black Widow edition trucks and the one you showed is really sharp, but man! That is an unbelievably high price for the package. I am glad to see the market stabilizing a bit. Perhaps other things will soon do the same. 🙏

Got 7k off my 1lt C8 and best bang for the buck by far. Insurance didn't change from previous car and get 26mpg on highway (13 on the street but got to have some fun). Can't beat the value/fun factor.

You just have to shake your head at the stupidity of people that paid ADM for C8's that were plagued with transmission problems. Now they are upside down 30K on a base model that nobody wants due to all the issues and flood or newer models on the market. Usually takes GM about 5-6 years to correct a problem. Still having transmission issues? insane.

@@mikedelape6609 Glad to hear you are issue free. The NHTSA has launched an investigation into the 23 transmissions. A simple Googel search will document some issues for that year. I had an aqquaintance with a 21 that went through one transmission prior to him purchasing it used, and then 3 more while he owned it. He traded it in on a Hellcat and the transmission started leaking during a test drive at the Dodge Dealership. Was eventually replaced again and sold. Car shows a clean Carfax.
