I’m pretty much resigned to buying approximately $250 a month in either ammunition or magazines as long as Brandon is in power.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with a magazine addiction. I'm up to 191 AR magazines alone. I've been buying OKAY Surefeed E2 magazines lately.

And 5 years later I finally see this post. I've got a 50 round 1022 drum and I have a 110 round drum magazine from Germany for the 1022. Be safe my friends.

I agree with your method 100%. I do hesitate on the ar mags higher than 30rds. Many have reliability issues. I’d still hang onto them in case of a ban.

So, Ive been buying AR-15 mags for 2 decades. I started in the early 2000s with Colt brand USGI aluminum mags with the green followers as they had the best reputation. But I discovered Colt was just buying mags from Okay Ind. then rebranding them with Colt floorplates and jacking the price up. So, I switched to acquiring Okay brand USGI mags. I also picked up few Bushmasters, NHMTG's and Labelle's along the way. (Labelle made beautiful teflon coated magazines with LE markings and the few I have are by far my favorite). Once P-mags became a thing in the Army I switched to buying GEN-1 and GEN-2 versions, in the mid-2000s. Then the army banned P-mags in favor of their new 'enhanced magazine'. At that time the enhanced mags were impossible to get, so I upgraded all of my old USGI mags with new magpul anti-tilt followers. I also bought a few Korean made KCI steel magazines which were junk. I also bought a couple C-Product magazines and they too were junk. (They sit in a box that sit's in a box, somewhere in a closet. They are the emergency-backup-last-ditch mags and the loner mags) Finally, about 4 years ago, I bought a 10-pack of D-&-H mags from BCM. I knew DH had bought out Labelle so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, they were not to the same quality as the old Labelle units. They're alright but the LE marked Labelle mags were works of art from back in the day and command a premium price today. The DH mags were finished in a very bright 'battleship gray' finish and that was unacceptable. So last year, during the shutdown, I refinished them using a spray can of Perma-slik Dry Film Lube and now they look proper. And now, of course, the Army has switched to P-mag GEN-3 as the only official magazine, but I see national guard guys still using the old USGI aluminum mags to this day so I have not jumped on any GEN-3s, , , yet. That depends. I like to have as many as I can reasonable afford without cutting into my day-to-day living expenses, which sounds simply enough. But it isn't. You'd need to factor in ammo and reloading supplies into that, as well as a few more guns that I'd like to buy. Its a constant give-take tradeoff as to where to spend the money.

I just purchased 2k mags of 30 rounder mpul and 4K tracers rounds cheers 🍻 but you got some good quality there too .

It’s obviously easier and cheaper to stick with either an AR or AK platform instead of both so that you can just stockpile a single type of magazine and ammo for your light rifle then pick a 308 rifle and stockpile mags and ammo for that. But that is a sweet collection to say the least!

One in the gun, bandoleer pouches filled and as many as you feel you need to repel a horde attack.

Everytime I buy ammo to go to shooting range I buy 2 mags as well I'm up to 20 30 Rd mags for are and 15 for my 22lr and 30 for my 308

The Only problem I see in your video good Sir is the fact that ALL THOSE MAGS ARE EMPTY!!! Not to mention the extra time it would take to open each one in an EMERGENCY, if u have to look away from the "threat", especially "down" to try to open that plastic......you're dead!! Been in life threatening events myself, God alone kept me, Believe me when I tell u, "The LESS you have to "think" about, the less likely you'll be to screw it up!! (Respectively, of course!) Nice though, I like your rifle choices, EXCELLENT.. Thanks for the vid.

In general, I say 6 per modern firearm minimum. I forgot how many Gen 3 pmags I accumulated over the years when I moved, but I had a whole box of unopened pmags.

I'm cool with pmags but for ak47 I want all the surplus steel ak magazines I can afford.

If you're are big timer ammo stocker than these mag is nothing. You'll fill those mag be4 your ammo can will go dry. Stocking mag is great too like I state having to much ammo and less mag is a waste... Let said you have all these rds and on...let said 3 mag of 30rds you think you'll have the time to reload once you're out of rds out of your 3 mag.
