They have some mighty fast 3v builds my guy lol I think you miss typed a sentence. 100 shot on stock 3v is pretty wild lol.

sheesh how did it cost you to rebuild the 3v? that’s in my future plans for this car. once it’s rebuilt , i want to slap a big single turbo kit on it.

@@yvngshine I pulled my complete engine and transmission in perfect condition 3k miles on it and started from scratch with a new block and heads and transmission with custom internals I didn’t reuse anything from original setup that’s why the motor was big dollars . If you use your original stuff probably 4-5k parts and labor. I like centrifugal blowers more affordable than turbo similar results and much less heat than a roots blower and much better IAT’s and parasitic loss to turn them . Try an ESS supercharger or a vortech V3 JT trim . Great power and reliable with normal driving characteristics.

​@@MrRevinto7 roots blowers don't heat up as bad as people think as long as you're not running way too small a blower pullied to the moon and back. The newer blowers out there like the vmp gen3r is wicked capable of alot of power and they're very efficient and with a decent cooling system they stay relatively cool. Centrifugal blowers def don't make the same power as turbo either. They're fine don't get me wrong they sound great they can make some steam but they're no different than a positive displacement blower they take power to make power. Turbos don't thus they're gonna make more power but it isn't always just about max possible power. I'm glad we have all these options it would suck if everyone liked the same thing. They tested a gen3r on the dyno back to back to back with basically no cool down at all and it was within 5 hp. As I said they're very efficient. They don't make em for 3v but you can get a department of boost manifold and intercooler (which is super badass) and run blowers meant for gt500s including the vmp gen3r. Would be awesome on a built 3v.

​@@MrRevinto7 there was a guy on another video arguing that a nice build like you speak of with forged internals, heads, cams, etc plus t56 magnum and stuff was like 30k in parts lol. Yours wasn't even close to that and it would be less if you started with your own engine like you said. It isn't nearly as expensive as people make it out to be. At that point you can make some stout power as good as coyotes do or more with forced induction. Especially if you have higher compression like you do. You'd need race fuel or e85 prob with boost. When you consider the cost of the car up front is half as much many times sometimes a quarter or fifth as much compared to newer coyotes that is a significant price difference. Also coyote guys will add the cost of the blower and all other mods in with it when you gotta spend that either way to make big power. A coyote car is gonna cost you way more up front offsetting the cost you don't need to build it for 650-700+ and you still gotta buy forced induction and supporting mods to get you there. You gotta do that either way. Only difference is the engine and trans cost. The coyote needs a t56 too if it's manual so that is still gonna cost the same on both sides. You could have a built 3v like you want with t56 magnum and have less in it than many newer coyote cars and you'd be making close to the same power and likely be faster and have an even higher ceiling than alot of coyotes do far as power potential with boost. I don't think building your original engine and swapping a t56 is that bad of a deal all in for the money. It's also alot more unique and they sound better. All the mod motors sound better than coyote based engines this includes all the 4.6s and the 5.4/5.8 and 6.2.

i’m ngl you’re right brotha. i wouldn’t just swap coyote my mustang just for the stock coyote. i would at the minimum have to do a 3-2-1 coyote swap to get my moneys worth

@@yvngshine I wish you the best with the build! I really wish more people would cover the topic of what I like to call “Horsepower thresholds”. Getting a 4.6 to 300 -> 500 ish horsepower is fairly inexpensive. A Coyote swap can be done for the same, or cheaper depending on if you cut corners, or do the labor yourself. Now when you talk about taking a 4.6 to 700 to 800 to 900+ horsepower. You may as well see every 100 you add as an additional $10,000. That’s when it stops making sense to dump all that cash into it. Surprisingly though some guys with $50,000 to blow have done exactly that. It’s like starting off bench pressing bro 😂 those numbers keep climbing until you plateau. Then it takes you months just to add 5, or 10lbs to your max after that. That pretty much sums up the frustrations of adding horsepower when you’ve pushed a platform to its “limits”.

depends.. is this your daily or a project car ? if it’s your daily suggest just staying clean and focus on exterior & interior mods like wheels, suspension, & lightening but if it’s your project type car i would suggest an engine rebuild just bc of the high mileage and then get to adding some performance mods

i say start with the exterior and get it looking clean first then work on your performance modifications

depends on your budget. 3v is more budget friendly and you are limited to certain mods bc vendors are more focused on the coyotes platform but 5.0 you have more endless options for mods

If you can afford it get the 5.0. I love my 3v but it’s just not a coyote. Proud of my car though because it’s what I could afford

i say like 400 crank hp & 375 whp but i haven’t dyno’d the car so i’m not completely sure

You’re retarded. Dude had 2000 in “performance” mods the rest was suspension appearance stuff. To swap a 5.0 in the car you gotta get the motor the computer run the wiring new trans a whole swap on these cars can eclipse 12 to 15 grand when it’s all said and done

it is a lot ngl but it was worth to me but it may not be worth it to you with your 3v.
