Absolutely nothing wrong with innovative. I have a 230whp on a fully built b20v that I daily and race for 2 years now and they hold up perfectly fine 🤷♂️
Innovative has some good products like I said in the video. But from personal experience I’ve found that their motor mounts are cheap in design and poor in quality
Chris, youve taken your integra to a wicked cool new level. Talk about a fun drive and dependable set up. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, we know it took some engineering. 😎🤘
Innovative are just as good of quality as hasport, hasport are just for the users wanting a swapped show car. Why pay more for hasport when innovative mounts hold the engine just as sturdy?
Florencio Urioste because they aren’t the same quality, how many track cars do you see running innovative mounts? The quality is just unmatched, plus with hasport your getting a nicer piece and a lighter piece, aluminum is a lot lighter than steel. I don’t have an issue with innovative as a company at all, but from personal experience and what I’ve seen first hand I can vouch that Hasport is the better product
ChrisSadowski I stripped a K20 DC2 race car that was a front runner in the VTEC challenge in the UK with Innovative mounts. They are now doing nicely in my EG. Couldn't be happier.
Solid video Chris by the way I'm running stock traction bar on my 92 integra k24a2 swap and I have no probably with clearance on stock radius rods.I wonder if K20 are a lil different don't see why they would be but anything is possible nice video Chris.
Dwayne Blanks that’s strange. Both carters track DA with a supercharged k24, and my DA needed custom passenger side radius rods to clear the crank. As well as the project CRX for vtec academy with the k20. Could be that your engine is sitting higher from the mounts your using? I’m not too sure now lol
Look.......another BRAND BOY lol.innovative mounts sell good quality stuff.been running them for probably as long as you've been alive and I've never had a problem.not one.thats what I hate about you young BRANDBOYS.i don't care how much I have to spend on a build.im not gonna pay almost 600 dollars on mounts. especially when there are so many good brands out that do it with the same quality with a reasonable price.kids now a days....look at my K bro.its got blah blah blah on it.look how shiney.must be dope right bro......fuckin BRANDBOY.
Not a brand boy. Just respect quality, family owned and locally made. Your sounding like the “brandboy” more than anyone. I still buy other innovative products but their engine mounts are not as good quality from my experience and those around me
These "car guys" today all dress alike. The hats and "merch" Back in the 90's and early 2000's they all wore clothes from the Jcpenney's. A white tee, baggy jeans and spiky hair.
This was a very productive video. Not many people break down their builds in such detail. It's great for the community for this information to be easily accessible.
Greetings from the U.K. Great video buddy. Currently doing a k swap on a jdm da6. Was wondering which header to use and which one would fit correctly? Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Appreciate it! Unfortunately my stuff grows slow but that’s okay cause I like uploading whatever I want, it’s hard to catch on quick when you don’t have one specific niche.
My em2 swap was uo there.. 04 em2 with 08 jdm k24a K24a from jdm Orlando- $1150 (overpriced i know i was young) Rsx base trans- $500 Rbc-$200 Plm Headers-$300 Ktuned 80mm tb- $400 (around that or more) Kpro-$750 (used) Id1050cc- $520 450 walbro-$100 K tuned fuel rail kit-$200 Ktuned fpr- dont remember i think like $180 Hasport mounts- $500 Shift cable kit-$280 or so Ktuned tucked harness- $700 Jumper harness- $150 Misc custom lines and downstar hardware- $400 Axles- $140 Halfshaft-$80 Mishimoto radiator for a k series- $255 Im missing stuff there but as you can see a basic swap with some cool stuff is expensive
ChrisSadowski Yup i just had to get a tps and knock sensor, and change some connectors on the harness like the injectors cuz they werent the same as the id injectors. Just these little things was like $200. It is worth it, at the end of the day you have something unique and that you put together.
hey its me again, canyou explain your axle set up for me again? i didnt quite understand the way you explained it in the video just bc i have never worked on axles before. thanks
hella clean setup I'm thinking about doing that to my EF since it's just a race car now a CHP dumb lol cuz they think zc Motors are just race motors from Japan LOL K swap the world
Their mounts and urethane are cheap in quality, and their brackets are welded poorly. I’ve never used them but I’ve seen many break and seen many friends with torn bushings when their mounts were still newer.
ChrisSadowski weird... I don’t NOT believe you, but I’ve had good luck with the 2 sets of Innovative mounts I’ve had in my GSR and brother’s EM1. Hours of track time, autocross and street abuse as well. Now I’ll be using 75A Innovative’s with with my K swap. Again, not going to say that the information you shared is wrong but I’ve had a totally different experience.
Grant Davidson and I can’t speak for the masses. But even before I started working with Hasport I always preferred Hasport over innovative. So I’ve always been a bit biased on them. But in terms of quality in a side by side comparison of mounts and brackets between the 2 manufactures I do have to say Hasport has a much better design and (to me) looks much better with the billet aluminum and powder coat instead of the more raw look innovative has and their almost wrinkle paint looking brackets. But again that is just my own preference
ChrisSadowski can’t argue with you there man. Personal taste is subjective but I agree that Hasports look better lol. I can understand the bias, but Hasport is definitely the top dog.
Tover Yonder if you listened I said I got the motor for 160$, they usually go for upwards of $1000, and I got the tranny for 400$ and usually go around 5-700$. I wasn’t saying my 160 and 400 was $1500...
@@ChrisSadowski gotchu thank you, also would these parts work on a K24 if I’d get that instead of the K20? I’d rather do the k20 but if they’re too expensive I’d go K24
Great video! I’ve been fallowing you for a while now! Great content. I also have a Da9 1990 with a swap and kraftwerks supercharger kit. Please check it out
Hello Chris, do you have an email to text you? Im ready to start my project, and I want to know if you can give an orientation with where i can found the parts and that.
Lol so bais against the innovative mounts , I personally been using innnovatice for years never had not 1 issue , but I didn’t incounter 2 issues with hasport mounts , thus the reason I went with innovative and never went back to any other mounts , besides that good informational video what did you use for a vss ?
On those Hasport mounts, are the billet aluminum uppers (part with the bushing) the same as the civic k swap mounts with different lower steel brackets or are they totally different all around? ,say if i needed replacement bushings, would eg/ek/ef k series upper mounts (just the billet part with the bushing) work?
Which engine series is better the B 16 and all those b series engines or the K 20 K series engines? And is there any engine that I could put in an Integra that better then either of those two?????
K is the way. B series is awesome, but for the money k series is the best, has lots of aftermarket support, makes really good power stock, that you would have to highly modify a b series to get the same numbers without going turbo. Both are extremely reliable, when taken care of. I have a b20vtec sitting at work that I took out of my integra to replace with the K, and I loved that motor. Just wanted something better
Hey, me again. I'm looking into getting wheels for my car and I do not want to get the wrong dimensions. I want to get 18" and it looks like the width is 7.5 with a 42mm offset. Do I need to be concerned much about the offset and width? It says the cars ideal tires are 195/60R14 85H.... So if tires are a bit different is this bad? Thanks
I hear a lot of K swaps have really low clearance on the oil pan and are really easy to have stuff hit them from the road? Is your oil pan really close to the road?
It’s decently close. My car used to be slammed on its nuts so I’m beyond used to avoiding things in the road and being very attentive to objects on the road so it’s no issue for me
It should be in the JBtuned link? I don’t recall if I have a link on this old of a video but if you go to one of my more recent videos I have a link I think to his site.
Would you happen to have a video for how to replace the lights right in front of the rear view mirror? I wanna convert them to led. It looks like I have to pry this who thing off but I don’t wanna ruin it.
The map light? Yeah there is a little clip on it if you look carefully, use a small flathead and gently pry that little opening on the edge of the map light
With all them ktuned parts and considering the following, I'm surprised you didn't get the billet ktuned flush oil dipstick. Idk it's the little things that do it for me
I just kinda happened to be in the right place at the right time. JBTUNED has reached out to me because mark from Honda street garage had mentioned I was doing a K swap to him, I have been working with Hasport for the last year now so that just came with the job, and hush performance I am friends with and he’s always here at Hasport so that just came about naturally. And KTUNER came about from being friends with the owner through my boss and going to lots of taco tuesdays with him haha
Best rule of thumb is $5-8000 depending how much you do yourself and how good you are at finding deals for a K swap. Make sure you have a decent welder to weld in the frame rail bracket on the DA
@@ChrisSadowskido you know if the 02-04 rsx type s transmission bolts onto a k24a and fits into the da9 chassis? Hasport seems to only make mounts for the k20 transmissions.
Limited slip differential. Allows both wheels to spin at the same time. Very useful in hard turns to assist in accelerating through the turn and less understeer
It is a 6 speed. The accord shifter is not boxed at all so the shifter lever itself can freely move where it needs, so it can move into the 6th gear location with no problems
For the da9 swap. You say I need radius rod. If I get the Ktuned traction bar kit for $350, does it include having the radius rod? Or do I need both items? Radius rod is like $50
ChrisSadowski thanks man. Is there any way I can contact you for more questions with the swap? I think I got it down good but just Incase I do have questions, lol. Got an IG or something?
You just put a crx speed sensor in the trans, it bolts right in, then put your cable into it, then just pin the wire for the signal and calibrate the vss in your tuning software
Those are some unrealistically high numbers for a naturally aspirated K engine. Especially one that you want to be reliable. 4pistons sells fully built engines that are NA that only make 300hp and that’s still $9000 for the bare motor
He’s in the process of making a new one for the DA. There is a couple other companies that make a more simplistic version. Just gotta search around a bit on google
ChrisSadowski oh cool I hope he does comes out with one again for the DA community . I like the hush performance one the quality and design of it seem worth it to me.
From what I know he is working on getting the tools and machines to build them himself, we make his EF version here at Hasport for him and it takes us forever because of how busy we are. I feel super bad for him.
I could wrap my head around the commentators calling this a DA, but you?!?! You should know better owning, in my opinion, one of the best looking sedans out there! Man I miss my DB.......nice job on the swap dude, very clean
@@ChrisSadowski Oh ok. At least I'm not imagining things. This is the first video I watched of yours. Good job man. I'm absolutley FLOORED at what you paid for a Type-S engine
Jay Primo yeah me too. Just gotta wait for the discount days at the junkyard and pull it. A lot of people won’t put that effort in so they never get good deals
What’s the fastest car you’ve beat so far? I hear so much hype about K motors. But I never hear see it beating fast cars. I know they handle boost more, but I mean a build b or d series would be a cheaper option if your going boost.
ChrisSadowski Not trying to throw shade either. I’m just wondering. I was very happy with my b16b 99 Civic Si when I had it. Never thought of it going K. But thank you for your response.
When I swapped in my first B16A back in 2005 the K Swaps were around 9500 to 10000 at that time. I was okay spending 1500 to 3000 to do all the work. But now the K are like 4 to 5500 or so. That includes mounts, Tuning, ECU, and labor and Dyno time maybe a bit more.
SBF HAWK k swaps are still around 6k to do. Even more if your doing the K20A2 or RSX K24. They are so worth it but there’s not a lot of support with them for the older chassis integras and civics.
ChrisSadowski doing DIY you can put a K20a2 in a civic or Teg for around 2/3k that’s GBP if you go full Ktuned kit then you’re talking like 8k or more lol
Jenkzyx well in America the average k swap using all DIY parts and sourcing everything and making your own harness your looking around 4-5k dollars. K tuned goodies add a few extra thousand lol as well as ECU and harness
Like you said k series are all over the junkyard for k20s or k24s. A 5 speed from an accord and the harness out of a 02-06 rsx or 02-05 crv along with the 190 dollar ecu immobilizer fix. You can do a k swap with mounts, accord shift box and linkages, engine, tranny, and make it run and drive for 1700 all day long. I don't know how 6 thousand gets thrown into the mix?? Lol you can order pushlock fittings and a fpr and fuel systems done, walboro 450 is 100 bucks shipped. Kpro is sold on Facebook and the forums for 750 all day, if you even need it. If you're not putting a power adder on it and you're not putting any internals in the engine I don't see a point in spending near a grand for tunability on a exhaust manifold, exhaust, and intake for like 20 maybe 35 hp.
