It definitely just depends on the company you work for some do not even offer Commission and some do when I first started out I made $39,000 a year and that was with my commissions and bonuses on a regular pay my check was about $900 every two weeks and was commissioned the most I ever got was over $2,000 in 2 weeks and please consider this this is when I first started as a leasing consultant making $12 an hour

Many leasing agents have a financial incentive to defer maintenance. My agent refused for months to call a plumber for my unit because it was "too expensive". She didn't give a damn about my situation, only her paycheck. Disgusting.

Hello Matt, do you think in an house leasing agent working for one luxury high rise is better off then a leasing agent that shows apartment for a broker and shows any buildings? Usually the in house agent has benefits but the one showing any apartment city wide for a broker make a much bigger commission. Which role is better to you?
