Hi everyone! I got an interesting question from one of my viewers: "Hi Rachel, may I know yung expenses na nagastos mo since you went there? Also nagapply ka ba magisa sa school? How was the process and all?"
I thought that answering with a short reply will not do her any justice, so I decided to talk about it in this VLOG. Featured in this video are the documents I submitted and how much I paid to come to Canada as an international student. This vlog is intended for aspiring individuals that want to study here in Canada. Cheers! ❤️

There are multiple ways to cut down on expense here even as an international student doing for part-time job.To be honest tho, if you’re to do this on your own-it may be difficult. you must first address your housing accommodation since this will be your biggest expense here. But after that, if you work and simplify your lifestyle here as well, have no outstanding balance during your stay, you’ll be fine 🤗☺️

How much po usually charge ng agency?
@rrdancel
@rrdancel 3 года назад
Hi dear, I would advise against agencies and opt instead to find an immigrant lawyer or consultant from Canada to help with your application. They’re the only 2 ppl that can advice and charge you a fee. Personally I didn’t go to an agency, I DIYed my application. But I’m guessing agencies’ asking price can be anywhere from P200,000-1,000,000 but that investment is not guaranteed.

i worked with a lot of philippinos over the years and i knew one guy that got screwed over by his boss that wouldn't sign a paper and he ended up having to pay some $30,000 in fees and this was after he had been in canada for a while and paid normal fees. there was other drama and whatever but the potential for fees for foreigners in Canada is ridiculous. there are other cases i heard form others of paying in the range of 20,000 to get everything sorted. it also takes a long time to get residence for basically no reason.

Yes I’ve heard a lot of stories about how ridiculous others would need to pay to stay in Canada. It’s quite unfortunate that some people end up losing so much over trying to immigrate to another country. And even heard stories about some being taken advantage because they really want to stay in Canada 😔 but It’s a lot more taxing than just cashing in... of course there’s a lot of education and experience involved before you can become PR here. It is case to case basis... but thank you for sharing this, it’s very helpful in keeping people aware of how tricky the immigration process truly is.

Hi! I just want to ask about your proof of funds. Sabi mo po you lived with your relatives so sa proof of funds mo po ba pinakita niyo pa po ba yung 1 year cost of living? Kasi I am about to start my application but sa school pa naman po di pa po sa student permit haha. Ahmm and then sa relatives din po ako titira so paano lang po yung proof of funds niyo po dun? And ahmm pano niyo po siya sinabi sa SOP niyo? 😅 Thank you so much! ❣️
@rrdancel
@rrdancel 3 года назад
Yes, even if I had relatives to live with- I still had to show I have enough money to live at least one year in Canada. So settlement funds for single applicant is currently $12,960. I made sure I had a little bit over that + tuition fees. My 1-year tuition was a little over $14,000. So for my case, I had to have that amount as proof of funds to convince the officer reviewing my file that I am able to support myself financially when I arrive to Canada.

So your relatives, if they are planning to support you during your stay in Canada- must write a letter explanation they will be financially responsible of you during your stay.
