Beards make no sense. my cis friends haven’t shaved in years(or at all, idk) and the most of a “beard” one has had was like, a bit of fuzz on his upper lip and chin. However, I, the trans one, have to shave almost daily in order to not get a noticeable stubble.

$200 a month for HRT is wild. I'm doing DIY HRT (it sounds scarier than it is) and I spent about $200 total for 3 YEARS worth of estrogen injections, no anti-T required since it's for monotherapy. This doesn't include the cost of blood tests every 3 months tho.

aha i have been trans for like 3 years now and on hrt for 1 year and 2 months ish and i still am scared to like try new clothes and actually try to voice train and everything please help me i am dying

Yeah, it usually seems to be a tiiiiiny bit of an overpriced ordeal all around no matter how you slice it. But I don't think you should feel too bad about the money you spend so long as you get to feel good with your own body (though I do agree that at times it really doesn't make sense how some of this tends to be way too cost-expensive)

Oh girl, I feel this in my soul. I feel like your hrt is a bit spendy compared to insured usa cost but everything else is much more reasonable then my journey. I thank the universe I live in a very trans friendly state and have a full time job with solid benefits. My heart seriously goes out to everyone struggling with those issues. Its interesting that the laser isn't working for you. I wonder if you try a different business that it might be better. If not then it's the really fun electrolysis time.
