@@lookship haha I was trying to be polite, all jokes aside, I’m very much looking forward to meeting you at an event soon, the other RU-vid lads I’ve met have been great and become good friends 👌
Straightforward information, no BS, exactly what I was after. May well have convinced me to ‘upgrade’ my Z 3.0 to M140 over the 35is. Good job, sir. Great video 👍
It's great ain't it. I did my bootmod3 about a month ago. Instantly noticeable difference. Then I did the transmission and again felt an immediate difference. Just wish I had an m140 not the 135! They look so much nicer. Impossible to find in red leather though... You really lucked out.
For sure. I've been to some mega dealerships in the past, Joe Macari being the best of the lot so far, but for a workshop full of modified gear JM is the bees bollocks 👌
Sounds harsh, but I'm already mega excited about a Season 2 of Lookship. Simple plot line is, he gets another BMW, (M2, M3, M4, M5, M6 I really don't care) and then does all of this again. Mint.
Welcome to the bootmod3 club. Great isnt it. Like I say I'm a bootmod3 tuner and the ots maps are still very conservative. They run around 8 to 10 degrees timing at the top and you can still extract more power by giving them about 14 degrees on vpower. The car will have crapped out because it wont have been in rolling dyno mode in the idrive settings I'm guessing?
Nice, just had a stage 1 map done on mine it's bloody quick. I've done a few Draggy run's from 30-70 mph. Pre map 3.8s Post map 3.4s Just for reference a Ferrari F430 is 3.4s as tested by Autocar. 😁
Love watching your videos. It's better when you know where your driving I live in New marske I'm after new car I have a 2018 A3 S line. But watching your videos is swaying me to a m140i, or S3 but something different from a Audi be good.
Got an M140i xdrive, end of this year going stage1 because warranty isn't over yet and wouldn't risk it before that's over. The car is a blast and the grip it makes is insane but needs improving on the steering part if I want it on a circuit.
I'm happy with bm3 stage 1 just now have bought the map packs so when I get my downpipe back on and a tu hpfp can go to stage 2+ aswell on my driveway, ive only been stage 1 for few weeks. My car was tuned by Litchfield with the downpipe before, they sent me away with a printout of 465hp and I knew it wasn't right straight away on the road, car was pulling timing. Turned out my hpfp wouldn't keep up with their stage 2 software so had to get flashed back to standard and get a refund. Wasn't impressed with the service, was very surprised as I travelled from Scotland thinking they were the best. I'm excited to see how I get on with bm3, like how I can log the car myself after flashing maps too to check they are running safe👌
They said it was a hpfp which could well have been the case... running supra pump now though, decat back on and charge pipe for good measure too. Loaded bm3 stage 2+ 93oct map and feels great, also booked for dyno next Monday so will be interesting to see nunbers. Probably wasn't their software as many people seem fine with it, it's more the way they missed the hardware issue multiple times in a day and each time I could feel the car pull timing on the road after driving for 5-10 mins. If you are interested will send you results from the dyno and thanks for your reply
@@nathangilmour4493 hi I’m very interested , I’m just about to buy a bcs 100 cell sports cat and get a tune I was going to go to Litchfield but the more I read about bm3 it makes sense , you get all the extras you don’t get with a map datalogging dashboard etc , and you can get a custom tune from anywhere in the world , I’ve heard Halim at wrench studios and Carey Jordan are very good , can you post up you’re bhp figures when you get roiling roaded next Monday 🙂👍
@@Addselwynjust get a decat bud 100cell will probs fail mot anyway and downpipe is easy to change in hour or so if you don't think you will find someone to pass your car catless. I would stick with the ots maps and buy the map pack, I have been through logs once I've loaded maps and seem safe... intake air temps sitting good mid 20s, timing, fuel, boost pressures all meeting targets and holding. If you do go hybrid or other turbo or even meth then I would recommend custom tune by wrench or cary Jordan through bm3, think they are £500 ish for that but great to know you can fit a hybrid turbo on your drive then tune it on the drive too🤷♂️😂👌 if you are going down pipe and just hpfp like me, stick with the ots 2+ map and remember you'll need torque limits raised in gearbox for stage 2+... I used xhp. Order bm3 just now mate you've clearly been thinking about it🤓, you could be enjoying stage 1 while you get your parts together 😎👌. I will put figures up then mate, do you think I should make a vlog/vid of it for people to see? Not something I've done before but might be other folk wondering what real life figures are.
There is no competition on which is better. If you have the funds i suggest getting Mabz's package of stage 2 at NVM motorsport for £1400. Hes an absolute wizard. Tom wrigley is also showing himself to be an excellent source with f80 Paul doing his mapping from America via bootmod3 but I'd wait until his dyno is installed and running as his work will require you to do lots of street pulls to get logs. NVM gets my vote ant day of the week. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Check out some of their vlogs.
I've littraly just had a remap done by Jf automotive in kent. Wasn't happy with the remap tbh, had a refund after 2 days and got a stage 1 bootmod3 which I've just uploaded. Can already set custom setting like exhaust burble and turned my opf light off. The company I used for thr remap couldn't do any if that.
@@Tommywilliam209 what was wrong with the JFT remap? I was looking at them as an alternative to MG Flasher / BM3 or DMS/Litchfield. Was your map on a B58 engine ?
Hi mate my 340i rwd made 346bhp on standard map and 427bhp on stage 2. I did not have xhp and yet to install it but i was also wondering whether the fact I had it on a 2wd dyno could have effected the results negatively or confused the ECU? The car makes a strange torque spike to near 500ftlb down low on stage 2 between 2-3k rpm. My dyno pulls were also done in 3rd gear on the ZF8 and I'm not sure that's the appropriate gear the dyno shop used? I think this all needs to be discussed a lot more but can't find any info about this sort of stuff online......
Buzzy singhs Green GTR. Good follow on insta he is. Fun and he's got that 1500bhp animal and a Huracan in his signature green Love these videos mate you've got a great style and tone. The whole LSD debate is abit daft. On the road for what most people are doing an open diff is more forgiving and safer. Everyone yawping about needing an LSD is talking rubbish. Yes you get more grip on hard acceleration but you can guarantee these people will be leaning hard on their TC to keep the car out the ditch. An LSD requires alot more skill on the road because when it goes its definitely going. The inside wheel spin argument is BS too because I've never seen anyone drive it hard enough for that on the road. If you're going to track the car....... yes. Get an LSD. No debate
My mint FSH 14,600 mile M140i went on one of the best, most accurate dyno's available, and made 336bhp stock. A custom map and it made 411bhp/576nm. I call bs on anyone claiming over 350bhp stock, it is so easy to inflate the figures, and a lot of the well known tuners use dyno's that read high anyway. Funny how my car is faster than somebody else's which is supposed to be 440bhp :-p Edit to add, there is a video on YT where a tuner shows how easy it is to inflate the figures, in fact, he got 503bhp from just a remap, and we all know that is pure fantasy.
@@checkyourself164 If you had not started your childish sarcastic comment with 'humor us' I might have engaged in a discussion with you. To start with that however, immediately tells me you are a child who is just trolling for attention. My car is now (a genuine) 455bhp/634nm with a 200 cell Wagner cat, further remap, and xhp3..
@@neil2470 yeh that's sound. My mate had a 235 with the n55. Mabs at NVM did his mapping and fitted meth to bring intake temps down as the n55 and b58 both heat soak quite badly. Its a real worth while consideration. N55s make about 420-430 i think on stock turbo with a downpipe
