Seriously guys, if you're thinking of installing xHP - do it! Check out Defined Coding here: • definedcoding.co.uk/ • definedcoding?i... S O C I A L S: Instagram - lookship?h... Twitter - lookship_?s=09 Music via www.epidemicsound.com
Probably the best video review I've seen of xHP, glad your enjoying it and my pleasure dealing with you! Can't wait to see what else you've got in stock did someone say bootmod3 also....
Oh yes, the roundabouts, it frustrates me as well! Already caused me some tricky situations because I didn't expect the lag... I expected to be long gone when the next car came round. Thanks for this review!
Just a quick line to say a big thank you, happy to take your recommendations as re-inventing the wheel is something Ive finally learnt to let others with more knowledge & experience go before me. Given that I want better brakes on my 140 & Im thinking ebc / zimmermann dimpled groved disks withyellow stuff / ferodo ds2500 pads. Any alternative thoughts / recommendations very much appreciated. Wishing you health & happiness.
I know exactly what you mean coming up to a junction then wanting to pull out, it just doesn’t go, hate that! Very interesting def something il be looking into, cheers!
Hello, I just installed a mhd stage 2 on my m240i, but the sport dosplay showes only cca 290kW but not 350kW what it should. I dont have the xhp. Is the xhp the problem?
I mean I don't really know how the camera could capture something like that so I thought a 3 minute explanation of the changes would suffice 🤷🏻😅 The changes are effective, but not enough for me to set up a GoPro and be shouting "OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING!" 😆
Grate no BS opinion ,,like your vids,,,is throttle blip in all modes ,,or just sports ,sport+ ??,,,& in manual mode dose it hold gear untill it hits rev limiter without changing??!,,cheers👍
I think the throttle blip is in comfort mode too. Haven't drove it anywhere in comfort since having the flash done haha. It's a 'true manual' mode. Have to physically upshift on the paddles. No forced shifts.
I need help! Been looking to pick up a facelift 240 for literally fucking ages because I've been wanting a manual and have a bit of a specific spec. Do I bite the bullet and just get a ZF? I only hear great things about them but feel like I NEED a manual! Help, please!
I'd definitely suggest at least trying an auto if you haven't. I was dead against getting one until a mate of mine took me out in his. It completely changed my outlook on them.
Although manuals are great they just don't get the R n D that the auto gets to match it with the engine so well. Only thing I would say is auto cars can definitely benefit from braking upgrades as without engine braking hanging 1.5tonne motors on pure brakes very quickly gets you to fade.
@@lookship I'm a manual fan however I went auto and haven't regretted it. The manual mode via paddles is great for a spirited drives or just stick it in drive and chill, best of both worlds. Also mine does some interesting sounds on upshifts non OPF model kinda like a DSG box.
Defined Coding sent me out an ODB - Ethernet cable All you do is plug that into your car, download team viewer and as long as you have a WiFi connection Kyle can connect up and flash it for you 👍
Me too. I had a custom map on the engine, but the ZF8 is expensive enough to service when the time comes, as it is, and I don't want to shorten it's life significantly if the XHP causes more heat/wear to the gearbox.
@@Addselwyn Brilliant Adam. It made 455bhp/634nm on the same conservative dyno as before. It pulls like a train and it's proper wild now hahah ! Not sure I'd want much more power in it to be honest, I think I need suspension upgrades next :-)) The XHP3 is brilliant, although I adjusted the ferocity of the changes, after experiencing a mates car, it was a bit too jerky in sports setting, so I reduced the ferocity by 20% for all gears in the XHP settings, and it's perfect now. Faster changes but still not too jerky, also raised torque limits to max.
I hope you're not referring to Ethan (sorry if you see this comment in the future Ethan, I love you really. I just don't have the same attraction to Ka's)
@@kevingarethmcbride1216 the transmission has its own menu in bootmod3, so it's not in the engine map section. The gear on the dash is just a module code that doesn't affect the actual transmission flash. I think you can program the gear number using bimmercode.
Unfortunately it doesn't it only comes with the 135i Gearbox Flash and even then this only for 1st and 3rd gear I believe, xHP transforms the ratio's and shift pattern completely making the car feel truly more alive!
