Before fuel prices went out of sight we were at $13/ cubic yard for hauling fill dirt anywhere around an hour round trip, now we are getting $15/ yard here in North Carolina, and we typically only run quad or quint axle trucks. If we run by the hour we are at $95 for a quad and $105 for a quint. Fuel prices here are around $5.50/gallon for on road. Dirt pits charge anywhere from $5-$6.50/yard for fill sand
I'm from Iredell County, there's a trucking company up there called Blue MAX they're pretty bad ass. I have a tractor trailer truck with a 32 foot dump trailer [ 24 yds ] that's what I normally use. I was getting it serviced when we made this video
I try to be fair. These guys do development full-time so they're a good group of people to get to know, and have a lot of commercial work to do. Most of my customers I've been working for a while now.
Have u thought about putting a go pro under the truck to get some different views, just a suggestion. All I got access to is a tandem axel, we can fit about 20k lbs in it (not legally of course though)
I need to step up my camera shots. I recently bought two new GoPro's. It's just hard right now with all the jobs I have going on to spend that much time on one job to film it right. I'm trying to figure out the magic recipe to make work and videos.
i'm in ohio and people will charge up to $150 phr for a truck to haul for us. running our own loads we charge 200 for clean clay and 480 for raw topsoil. and that's cheap. idk why it's so much cheaper everywhere else. lime stone around me is $54 a ton and only $12 near chicago. i guess we just have crap for material around here. no pits near by other than sand stone and wash stone. and that's expensive anymore.

You need a bigger truck 8 loads per day comes out to be 437 days. Seven days a week. That is awfully big pie to eat. But then again you are in Texas.😎😎
I have a 24 yard tractor trailer truck, it was being serviced why I made this video. I'm going to haul for another two months. At that time I will have to hire more dump trucks to help. Part of the reason I'm doing that, is the amount of work I have right now. In two months I will be in the position to put a crew over there full-time.
They are getting a good price at 140, but how many are you getting in each day? I would imagine with fuel equipment insurance employee you need to get a certain count in per day.
My average is 9 loads a day for six days a week. I'm going to haul like that for another two months. At that point I will have a crew freed up to go over there full-time. Then I will bring a fleet of dump truck in.
