How does nicotine addiction work?
These are some of the questions I answer in this video:
What is nicotine?
Does nicotine cause cancer?
What are the signs of nicotine addiction?
How nicotine makes your brain addicted?
How can you break the addiction?
Plus, you will learn why being addicted to nicotine makes you believe you can’t enjoy life without it.
And why you find it hard to quit (and feel your brain is against you).

I'm at Day 5, down to 5 per day from a lifetime of 20+ hand rolled for 40/50 years. My last and only trigger is just plain and simple mental addiction ... Want,want,want ... Primitive 🧠 I'll overcome, I can, I will etc ... Talking it all slowly, less haste more speed

I’m on my 3rd day of having quit vaping ! I smoked cigarettes since high school but switched to vaping about 5+ years ago . I went cold turkey. Its both easy and hard at the same time . But it’s doable ! I’m not turning back . While smoking and vaping I spent half my day in withdrawal anyway. soon I will never be in withdrawal again!

Smoking is very and I mean VERY common in Russia, in fact you are seen as strange if you do not smoke. I smoke 2 packs a day, guess what too my grandad is 74 and still smokes. I’m 18, but I been smoking since I was 11.

It also makes you feel like absolute crap. I think the #1 motive for me quitting is the crazy increase of energy and health. I forgot what it felt like to not feel like crap... I vaped.. so much.. Im only on day 3 and the withdrawls aren't so bad. I've also loved how my sex drive instantly spiked back up. Thats another huge negative to nicotine. I changed to eating a healthy snack and having water when I crave nic. When it gets real bad im just doing something to pump my adrenaline up. Rocking out to music.. jogging in place. Push-ups workout. Those things make me feel calm again after getting that rush naturally. Also just reminding myself im basically getting healthier by the minute just not doing it!

I found out my best friend was smoking and I was curious, since my dad and all of my uncles have smoked at least periodically, so naturally, my dumb ass got a black and mild and started smoking them daily for about 2 months with no addiction (I guess growing around smokers gave me a good tolerance) and eventually I started smoking 2 Marlboro reds a day for about 2 weeks, and tried a box Marlboro Blacks (BIG MISTAKE). They were like the buzz of 3 cigarettes in one and got me smoking about 2 or 3 reds or menthols daily or sometimes a swisher sweet or two a day. After a while I started vaping with a Leap and eventually changed to a Vuse Alto (which I still think was the best vape I've ever had), then stopped because I had to travel to California, a state that requires the age of 21 to buy tobacco (New Mexico was 18 until March 2020). When I came back, a friend gave me another Leap he had lying around and then I lost it, so I went back to the Alto after another while with the Leap. I had to stop again for about 1 month because I traveled to California again and started again after getting back to NM with a Juul, (which is super overrated, although the aftermarket pods smacked). After a while with the Juul, I started smoking Eagle Reds and Eagle Greens, and eventually was caught by my parents, and after having a long talk and various heated arguments with both of them, I went to a smoke shop and purchased a Sourin Drop, which I use to this day with the excuse of lowering my nicotine percentage and having little success after 4 months. So yeah, it's been a long year and 8 months.

How are you doing today? I have tried several times to quit. This time, I am changing my mindset, like this program suggests. I realize, I have to keep reminding myself of how much I wanted to be a non-smoker, while I was smoking, It's easy to go back to it, when you forget how much you wanted to be free of them!

My question is The experience of dopamine, adrenaline and various other hormones release at the same time cannot occur otherwise except nicotine or that experience can occur naturally also ? How to get that experience naturally? Please reply your opinion matters a lot 🙏

I wish I never would’ve hit a cigarette in my life I’ve been addicted to nicotine for 7 years and I’m so tired of craving something every moment I have to have nicotine a hour without having nicotine I get so irritable And I start getting headaches and everything and everyone pisses me off I wish there was a true way to quit it I’ve tried everything from a patch to the gum you name it I’ve tried it! Only way to truly quit it is Is to suffer and go through the withdrawals but it’s so hard

Vaping is every bit as addictive as smoking is. In fact vaping is actually a more effective technology to get nicotine in the blood stream. This video brings up some valid points. Its tough to cut down on the amount of smoking. No nicotine at all is the only way. Smoking, vaping, chewing, or patches all have to go. I also have to limit my drinking to successfully quit smoking. Fortunately I am not a frequent drinker. So many people quit smoking, then get drunk and buy a pack, etc. Then you have the gaining weight issue, so I end up on a diet, working out with no nicotine or alcohol for a while (miserable way to live...LOL!). Its not as bad as it sounds, because you get your wind back and can do all sorts of cool things like mountain biking that you could never do as a smoker.
@dr.nug7103
@dr.nug7103 2 года назад
Vaping is addictive, but I disagree that it’s as addictive as cigarettes, there are several additives to cigarettes, I smoked a cigarette a few months back and my whole body and brain buzzed up and down, I started vaping again, as I was previously addicted to nicotine and went back to vaping, and can’t get a single buzz anything like it, my brother who smokes cigarettes had a vape but he still had to smoke a cigarette after hours of using the vape, but when he smokes a cigarette he doesn’t even want to vape.

Shehnaz oh no I’m being serious. based on my research one hit of nicotine makes you want the next and so on, that’s why when quitting it makes no sense to slow down only to stop completely. I tried it on myself to confirm. Not even from the first full cigarette, the first puff. Have been trying to quit for a year so I’ve tried all sorts
