How would you test different audience signals if you only have a 1 product asset group in the PMax Campaign? Do you just add 2 more asset groups and put a different audience signal for each asset group even if all 3 asset groups will be using the same product?

Hi! Do you have a diagram on how you do ads for a dropshipping store? like in 1 campaign how many products do you test? or in 1 ad, how many products do you put? do you only have 1 google ads account per store? 1 for uk and 1 for US?

Hey patch, i have few doubts about running multiple general products in Performance max . Help me out here Imagine i want to test a collection of 3 products to sell: yoga mat , milk bottle & garlic press (totally unrelated but sorted with same profit margin) . I get stuck with 3 doubts before i start 1) when you say you test 3 products in a pmax campaign. Then does it mean all 3 products are in 1 single asset group or 3 asset group with each product? 1) In the asset group it asks for Final url( at 05:17 ) What should be the final url when you want to run ads to 3-4 product? How can i give 1 URL when there are 3 products ? 2) it says to upload images & videos so I will upload multiple promotional banner images of 3 products but how will google determine which promotional image or video to use for that particular product? ( i fear it will show a promotional image "20% off on garlic press" for milk bottle) 3)once again, since all items are different so how am i suppose to give google different audience signal for each items? (I mean there cant be one all fit all audience signal for testing all the products right? ) Thank you

Hey bro happy to help here 1) you can test all these products in a single pmax campaign. But as they are not related i would personally split them into their own asset groups. 2) So you can then use their own targeted URL as the final URL destination. And use accurate images / headlines etc. 3) Splitting them into their own asset groups will allow you to use the relevant images etc. 4) Again, using different asset groups allows you to test more accurate audience signals per product. Just a general question when first starting out dropshipping from UK do you need to register as a LtD company or just use your own bank account for tv for ads/sales?

When first starting out don't worry about a LTD company. I created my company after i did my first 10k sales back in 2016

Thank you for value! Question - what payment method do you use? if you have two stores, it means you have two different paypal or stripe accounts? As I know it's not allowed to use one stripe for two projects. Could you please explain this ?

I use shopify payments on both stores and paypal (2 separate PP accounts)

Great video! We’re running standard shopping campaigns for my shopify store, but want to test pmax - can we run both campaigns at same time using the same account? I heard so many different opinions on that. Cheers!

Hi Olivia, thanks for the kind words. You can run standard shopping and pmax at the same time. But if you have the same products in both campaigns, PMAX will take priority and you'll find the standard won't spend much of its budget. If you're just looking to test pmax before going all in. I would take a group of your products and put them into a PMAX campaign and let it run for 3-4 weeks. This is what i did before switching all my shopping campaigns to PMAX 😀

We're waiting for the new stock and until it arrives, we just want to clear other products we have in stock - can we test PMAX with just a few products (less than 10) or do you suggest to wait until we have our bestsellers back in stock?

Hey. Thanks for the video. QUESTION: when you create duplicates of the asset groupos and you test various audiences (audience signals) ... How do you then know which one is performing better, since Pmax offers next to nothing performance data for analysis?

I analyse the data on the listing groups tab as this will give the asset group name as well. I agree it is difficult to analyse pmax data but this is the best way i have found.

Great video, What about if you have more than 40 categories and 100K+ products This will need a different strategy and a lot of effort to categorize the campaigns So that you can control the cost and the ROAS Otherwise Google will have the full control

Do you recommend start testing with PMAX or still starting testing with shopping and then after some data moving to PMAX?

If you have a budget of $50/day + then i would personally start by testing with pmax. If you are on a limited budget i'd recommend standard shopping and set your manual bids low. Will have a video on standard shopping soon

Hey Patch, just wondering what kind of images are you using for your Pmax campaigns if on a general store? Also, do you use Dynamic Search Campaigns for your store as well? If so could you do a video on full setup of these for best results?

Hi Roger, I do use DSA campaigns but only on a small budget at the moment. If you're a general store its good to have a mix of images. But i like to segment my products based on product catagory. So for example 1 asset group will only include products that are in the same catagory. That way you can provide relevant images and ad copy.

Hey, its not an ad account setting. When making a campaign you choose which countries you want to target.

Do you run ads on TikTok and Facebook or do u just stick to google?

Around 85% of my daily spend is Google. 10% Facebook and 5% Bing ads. I have tested tiktok but not found much consistency with it. Will definitely make a video on bing ads as the roas on there is crazy!
