I think that many people in Poland take the war in Ukraine very personally and emotionally. It is so unjust what happened to you and other Ukrainian people. We understand it is human duty to help you. Our grandparents said to us what it means to "have experience" with russian army, so the whole situation is touching us very deeply. Now we have a unique opportunity to meet each other, I mean Ukrainian and Polish nationalities, and I hope that we will use it to build a great cooperation in terms of economy and tourism in the near future.
you are very positive person and I can see that you appreciate a lot, one day maybe there will someone not too nice in Poland and this is normal like everywhere, but there is one thing about Polish people, we like to help, we like to take care of others, I believe this is in our honor, to not turn a head on someone in need
@@MegaMoflis I think he had a very positive experience in Poland because of his clear interest and respect for our country, our culture, our language. He's only been here for a few weeks, but he's already learning the language, learning about our history, trying to interact with the locals in Polish, etc. People notice that and appreciate his efforts.
I'm working in shop (food shop)😊 Two days ago Ukrainian woman with two little kids was making grocery shopping and she came to me to pay. Man who paid for his food first told me "I will pay for it" (and show me her grocery)... She didnt understand what he said ...and i wanted to cry 🥺❤️ (Im sensitive person 🥲😄❤️) ...After 2 min i told her "it will be xxx zł" and he said "i will pay 🙂" and gave me money ...she was soo suprice and she said "no..you dont need to" few times and after this also few times "thank you 🥲☺️" ... I was stopping myself from crying because i wanted to show them we are strong together ...🥲❤️❤️🇵🇱🇺🇦💛💙 At the end he put his hand at the heads of every kid .... to stroke they heads ❤️😊 ....it was beautiful ❤️😊 For a moment the were looks like friends even if the were strangers and didnt speak the same language 😊❤️🇵🇱🇺🇦
It was a secret. Poles and Poland have created a wonderful country to live in. We just argue with ourselves very loudly, so that in other countries they think that it is strange here 😉 Seriously, I see people from all over the world on RU-vid that they like it here very much. I think Poland can become an interesting alternative to life for many people. We are a bit strange sometimes, we don't smile in the street. But our hospitality and willingness to help will be hard to find in the world. And something that shocks Americans. We are very direct! If you ask us how was your day? We will tell you that it is bad, that our stomach hurts or the rain surprised us 😂 zero bullshit. But it's supposed to be very refreshing if someone tells you exactly what they feel without the mask. If we like it or don't like it, we just say it, regardless of the consequences.
We have created a wonderful culture but since the beginning of the XIXth century our governments have served other nations or hidden agendas. Almost all of those parties at the moment have been making it harder to live here than it should have been. But I agree with the rest of what you wrote.
Thanks for reccomandation of our country ❤️ I think that we all worked hard enough to deserve IT. Hope you enjoy Poland as good as it's possible. Wish you have a good time here, Tomasz.
These are such nice words. I'm so glad you didn't have any unpleasant experience in Poland. And I hope you won't. For me the fact you want to learn the language is SO impressive. Take care guys!
Poland ❤Ukraine - I remember the first days when the war broke out. Many of my friends from Warsaw went to the Ukrainian border to help. Help was organized in all Polish cities. Many people took the Ukrainians into their homes. I'm shocked how the war brought these two countries together. There are many wars in the world, but it's the first time I've seen strangers helping each other in such a way, unlike, for example, Arab countries. Poles understand what war is with Russia and Germany. Warsaw was demolished 75% of the time. Building after building was destroyed. The old town was destroyed 99%. Thank you for a good word about Poland because, for example, the Germans can only count money and they criticize Poland all the time, while for the Poles honor is more important than money.
I dont know who recommended this mexican restaurant, but it must have been someone well informed. It’s very „inside” place in Warsaw (not tourist) and my favourite mexican street food in WAW!
Poles have already experienced it and understand it. Near the border with Belarus in my town I met a Ukrainian child - he did not know Polish, but we communicated in English
Poles are known for their hospitality. It's sth we were raised with, it's in our vains. This situation we are in right now, lots of people in need coming to Poland, was a triger to make this Polish hospitality more visible. But this is not a one-off action, but a permanent national trait that we cherish. So far you are talking about random people you met somewhere on the street, in the office or health centre, but once you make some Polish friends, real friends, once they open up, you will see what Polish hospitality realy is. Good luck to both of you! I'm glad you are enjoying your stay in Poland
I'm glad that you found peace in my beloved country and i wish that it will be your country as well. You know Poles still follow very old tradition which was called between Slavic people " święte prawo gościnności " , somehow it wasn't erased during milenia and become part of national DNA. Basically I love Poland and I admire when we can share this love ;) there is still a lot for you to explore. Cheers
Unfortunately I cannot help you in finding good Mexican food in Poland. But if you guys ever come (again, I presume) to my country, I´ll gladly take you to eat the real thing. Love your channel, that looks more like a helping community. Big hugs from CDMX.
Another long weekend is ahead. May 1 to May 3 :) May 1 is Labor Day, May 2 - Flag Day, May 3 - the Constitution of 3rd of May. There will be events and most importantly, these days are the holiday of barbecue and Polish sausage :D In biedronka and other stores you should already start to see barbecue sets. I recommend to go somewhere out of town, to the countryside and feel this climate.
glad to hear that you solved important issues and feel good in Poland. by making those videos about Poland you also give us a lot of positive energy and remind us to appreciate more what we have. wish all the best to you and Marina.
You are expressing wonder and joy and thankfulness at every turn, at least that’s what I see in your videos. I have never heard you say anything negative about the surroundings or the food at any restaurant. You marvel at all the good food and the beautiful architecture, the great infrastructure in every city. Why wouldn’t people be friendly and helpful? You are attracting them to you, and I don’t mean that in a metaphysical way. We are drawn to people like us. They see the good in you and Marina and want to reach out and help. Not too long ago, you seemed surprised that your subscribers donated so much for the food banks. It’s because we could see the good in you and wanted to be a part of that. Keep doing what you’re doing, and being yourself. All the best!
06:05 "this whole area is cool, i don't have to justify it to you guys" admit it, it's because of the wide sidewalk :D I'm glad you guys feel comfortable here and enjoying your time. A large part of the reason why people are so open and wiling to help is because we get it. We all remember the stories told to us by our grandparents from WWII and communism. As unbelievable and horrifying as the last two months have been, unfortunately we know all too well about what they are are capable of which is why we are more than happy to help. We're neighbors, we have lots of things in common, political BS by extremist politicians aside we have an unbreakable bond and this war is only strengthening it.
I dont know if you actually have been to Ursynow, but if you like walking, you should also see that part of Warsaw. Very nice to live there and convinient.
You need to know that in Poland (and in Czechia) we have very good and real Vietnamese food, thanks to big Vietnamese diaspora in our countries. PS. 30:07 "Pożyczki pod zastaw wszystkiego" - that's what I call "the free market"
Hi, I'm a taxi driver in Kraków and I have been livnig here about 7 years due to my studies. I could not find e-mial adress in the description so I wirte a comment. If You would like to have a tour of a Kraków I can be Your guide :). Excuse me if I made any mistakes in english.
I am glad that you and Marina feel comfortable in Poland. I like your content very much. It is great that you want to visit other cities and get to know Poland better. I would love to see you try some original Polish dishes like: żurek, flaki, golonka, bigos, schabowy, łazanki, kluski śląskie. 🙈🙈🙈
I've been living in Warsaw for about 30 years already but I kind of rediscover the city watching your clips. All the best to you and all the Ukrainians in Poland right now. Let's hope for peace and when the peace happens, I want Polish-Ukrainian relations to stay strong!
What goes around, comes around. Poles treat ukrainian refugees , who are real refugees and in majority children and women as they would like to be treated in the same situation. Sadly enough such treatment of refugees seems to be unique in the history of mankind.
I can give you a guided tour in Krakow, where I used to live and also work as a guide for a while. I'm now Warsaw-based, but fortunately for me Krakow doesn't change that fast :)
Polska empatia i współczucie jest wyjątkowe na świecie. To pewne. Byłem kiedyś po super imprezie. Rano miałem delirę, a lekarstwa żadnego. Resztkami sił ogarnąłem się i poszedłem do najbliższego marketu. Wziąłem połówkę i stanąłem w kolejce do kasy. Poty i trzęsiączka były widoczne dla stojących w długim ogonku. Ludzie sami z siebie z półironicznym, pół życzliwym uśmiechem zaczęli mnie przepuszczać i po chwili szczęśliwie dokonałem zakupu towaru "pierwszej potrzeby". Jednak apeluję, o nie powielanie mojego przykładu.
In three months I will be moving back to Poland from the UK. Your positive words make me so happy as I hear only negative things from my Polish friends who say Poland is not like the western countries. They tell me it will bad for our teenage kids. I am going through emotional rollercoaster whether or not I will regret my decision. I lived in the Netherlands for a long time before as well. Trying to watch Polish vlogs of people who returned to Poland doesn't always make me happy. They can 'nag' a lot as it seems it's our national trait. That we Polish are not friendly, not smiling as English people. Some of them don't manage to stay due to this mentality and return back to UK. I read these stories daily and then watching your vlog which is so positive make me less worried to go back. 🤗 The decision has been made and we are going to live in Gdańsk which is a new place for us all. Thanks for these positive vlogs and wish you all the best in my country. I hope me, my Dutch husband and my kids who have been brought up in the UK will share your positive view.
I moved back to Poland after 8 years of living abroad (UK). From my perspective, the Poles are less open and smiling than British. On the other hand, we are more open than Germans, especially to strangers. Anyway - I see a huge change in people's behavior. It is especially visible in younger generations. I would say there is a lot more openness than it has been a few years ago. My duty as a Pole is to respect others and just be this positive element of society. This is the only way to spread positive energy. Compared to the UK crime is on a lower level than in the UK, especially among youth. This should be a huge plus for your kids and family.
Also - Gdansk is a very "westernized" Polish city. You will be happy there for sure. I made many great friends back in the UK. And to be honest, after a while they seemed very similar to Polish people.
According to a prophecy this is the future capital of the United States of Europe. btw: when I strolled around in midtown Manhattan in 2001 I had the same thought: looks like Warsaw!
That gray building in the background you're passing after 25:10 - the holes in the walls are after the shrapnel from WW2. So much history in Warszawa, that entire neighborhood from Poznanska St, Krucza, Koszykowa, is pretty old, historic. Well restored, with little gems like that shrapnel marks, linking past with the current. Love your vids man.
Enjoy your stay! Now concentrate on the baby-stuff! Little cloths, crib, baby-tub, stroller, etc...and enjoy your sleep as much as you can because it will be in the very short supply for the next 4-5 years! Believe me, I went thru it on more than a one occasion :)
You’re typical big city enjoyer so you gonna love Warsaw. This is why most of the country “hates” Warsaw, you will not find the same big city atmosphere in any other place in Poland even though there are much more charming ones. Warsaw is just unique.
Hey, I'm not from a big city, but a middle one and I don't "hate" but I really like Warszawa. I like my calm town for everyday, but the capital of our beloved Poland amazes me. Every place has its charm.
Wow, I’m getting old. In my times everyone hated Warsaw even though everyone was coming here for work or entertainment. But it was faux-pas to say they you like Warsaw. Thank you Buddy. I grown up in this city but have never said anything bad about other ones. I still love it even though “it’s not my city anymore”, people from around the country and world took over it. So I built a house and moved out 15 years ago. I don’t mind because it means it’s growing and becomes a better place.
I'm so happy for you guys...I'm glad you like Warsaw. Like I said before....it's a weird city but I love it. I'm hoping to be in Poland soon so if you need anything from USA let me know LOL
There are a lot of Vietnamese fast foods in Warszawa, but if you are looking for original taste, you should visit Bakalarska Bazar or Wólka Kosowska. Bakalarska is close to your place, only few tram stops from Plac Narutowicza. You'll feel some local, but international atmosphere. People from Vietnam, Africa, Bulgaria, Armenia, Turkey, etc. selling almost everything - cash only.
East Europeans just don’t really like Mexican taste. So they modify the test. I personally do t like spicy food. So for me Mexican burritos without spices woul be perfect.
Its so nice as a Polish to hear such words, that somebody sees this and appreciate. Really heart worming. I wonder who watch your Channel to share this. Ukrainians? People weom world or mostly just People? Im surprised how deeply I enjoy doing city siteseeing with you guys, even though I have been in that cities. Take care
Referring to Mexican restaurants. 20 years ago, such restaurants began to appear in Poland, such as well as others. Asian, Arabian and Greek cuisine, but all this was just our idea of what this cuisine is like, because we have never had contact with it. When the borders opened, Poles began to visit other countries, emigrate, and many people began to visit Poland, which also resulted in greater culinary awareness.
Surprised you didn't explore the Warsaw yet. I mean Palac Kultury i Nauki - Palace of Culture and Science, Lazienki Krolewskie - Royal Baths, and Rynek Starego Miasta - Old town Market.
You will change your mind when you start paying taxes in Poland. Yes, we make a good first impression, but it's not as colorful as it seems. These beautiful buildings and streets are only because we care for them, unlike in the east.
