Dear RU-vid Rater, this video is about a crossbow, not about firearms. Therefore it is OK for monetization. Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------ gogun.de/Lancehead-F1-Package... www.lancehead.com
We all know he's going to buy another one, strap it onto this one, somehow make it half the draw weight shoot 43 arrows at once and violate multiple geneva conventions but is somehow still legal in Germany
It is a little known fact that in 2018 aliens planned on taking over the Earth until they learned about Joerg. Then they turned their flying saucers around and vowed to never return.
@@willw5868 Because you automate the cocking, that some how negates the point of having a bolt caster/crossbow and some how makes it a gun equivalent? I get the feeling you've never shot a gun or a crossbow, let alone a bow and arrow .
@@thaphreak there’s no functional application of a crossbow. Despite what you guys may say, it has literally 0 practical application compared to a firearm. Except maybe that you could potentially make one yourself in the wild, which obviously is not a relevant point to the discussion of motorized crossbows. However crossbows and bows and such are cool, because you are firing the projectile nothing but your own strength. If you take that away by adding a motor and batteries and crap then the nothing novel or cool about it anymore imo. If your only goal is fire a projectile the easiest most efficient way possible, just get a gun. I’ve shot bows and arrows, I’ve shot guns. I know they aren’t the same thing (duh) my point is just that I don’t see the purpose of a motorized crossbow when guns exist. Your taking away the interesting cool part of the bow.
@@willw5868 I get where you're coming from in the fact that guns are much more effective and practical but IMO saying "there's no functional application" isn't true as crossbows and bows have plenty of uses when it comes to hunting. Firing a gun will clear out any wild animal in like a 2 mile radius. Yeah you can use a suppressor but they'll never be whisper quiet on anything larger than a handgun or submachine gun with specialized subsonic rounds. A bow or crossbow won't have that same "HEY EVERYONE, THERE WAS A LOUD ASS NOISE HERE SO LET'S ALL SCATTER AND GO IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS THROUGHOUT THE FOREST" effect on animals. Which is why I mentioned the sound a motor might have in my original comment.
@@mymilkshake001 the sound of a motor good enough to pull and last would still not be as loud as a gun, or at least not as startling. Definitely ways to make that work.
Wow! Incredible weapon! What power! Thanks for sharing this! Love your videos and all the things you create! I myself am a welder and love to create different things from other things. Haven’t built many weapons, I’ve built effective rodent traps. Just love taking something that only existed in my mind and one day it becomes an actual object and the one you imagined. Thanks again you are an inspiration and I appreciate the work and time you put into your videos. Thanks again, take care, stay safe and healthy!
@@cameronbartlett6593 Awsome!! Funny because I had to look it up ! Never heard of a porridge cannon! Lmao 🤣! Pretty gross but an effective weapon none the less. And you learn something new every day, never expected that would be today’s lesson, but thanks I now know! Lol!
Weed wacker engine would be better if you ever want to hold the damn thing, also he’s already made a rubber based drill powered full auto crossbow, that I think is where he really started getting into the hole repeating bow idea
Joerg thanks for including the production errors in your introduction of this fascinating new design for a "cross" bow. That was funny! This is a very good demonstration of the Lancehead bow. I am now really wanting one! Your English is excellent. Really enjoyed your review of this new bow.
I swear, Joerg could sell a plastic spork to a millionaire, sand to an Arab, wood to a tree or a bomb to an air... wait, that's not supposed to be here?!
I lost your channel a few eyrs ago with a profile swap, you have no idea how big my smile was when you said "Let me show you it's features!" missed you and your enthusiasm.
You should buy a tournament target from pressed straw. I´t´s usable for everything knives, bolts even slingshot ammo. I once saw a shot of an arrow through 4 car doors with a 60 lbs bow and it made no difference in the target behind it.
wie geht es dir Bruder.... Great channel i SUBed! That crossbow was so powerful that i did not even see the bolt fly when shot!!!! Amazing keep up the good work
Well, he is a licensed arms-dealer sooo... And I guess beeing him also makes things easier. Or would you as a manufacturer decline, if Jörg himself wants to buy your product.
@@alexubel I don't know the exact legal reasons, but I guess because he is a licensed dealer there is an way. For example: A weaponlight in germany is illegal for a privat person. A licensed arms-dealer can however purchase those but can only sell them to LE/Military.
Joerg: it isn't very often that someone makes an advancement in archery that is truly revolutionary Me: except you every other week. So humble. Much respect, sir.
@@iamwhatitorture6072 I appreciate your pedantry, but it was a partially a joke and mostly appreciation for Joerg. Although he is constantly coming up with awesome designs - even if they don't all 'revolutionize archery.'
what would be really interesting in these videos would be to have a section that shows using them in semi-active situations of no talk but necessity, in other words loading firing, loading, firing, as if in the wild. I don't know if that makes sense. I enjoy this channel, and your sense of humour.
This is an innovation, first muskets where a pain in the ass now look at ars and 12 gauges. Give this about 100 years and I guarantee some dude will make some sort of full auto arrow shooter
@@blameusa7082 What a fitting username too, tells a lot about you... Im gonna guess....average Joe , making minimum wage(or perhaps below that), living in an single apartment(If I had to bet i'd say most likely with your parents)
You people are silly. The virus started with bats so it will turn you into a vampire not a zombie. Stay away from anyone that glitters or bursts into flames in sunlight.
_" Today we'll be looking at the Starship Trooper Legolas... Would you like to know it's features?"_ That's rather amazing... *Expensive,* but amazing.
Like the design, looks like it could be used as a delivery system for an explosive bolt. Slow to reload but looks like it has good power as a launcher.
someone will either make a auto electric reload, that doesn't require you to put the manual device in or a pump like the repeating crossbows he's selling. Using it like a normal crossbow, by using the foot to hold it down, while pumping with hands. He said it was easy to cok it, when the device was inserted, so it shouldn't be too hard to improve it. Maybe cut it to like 20 seconds.
136 J out from 64cm stroke, means the draw weight can't really be over 140#. It should be possible to just replace that crank with a straight 2-hand pulling handle.
Lol CTFU blocked snatch block guy. I want to see this crossbow mounted with his repeating platform he made with a electric drill motor and battery to reload it... Then it would be a high powered repeating quick bow of death would be the best thing ever!
It's a beauty, and I wish you luck on the repeating version of it I'm hoping the company that made it works with you on designing the repeating version of it, and I wonder how that would work with solid stainless steel heavy bolts rather than carbon fiber or fiberglass
I went to their site and that cross bow is now $2,500 which includes all he has shown us. They say its made for hunting, but you wouldn't use those few arrows for hunting as they are only practice arrows. What he has not shown us, is if that Bolt-Caster fire broad-heads, and if it can then you'll need a arrow scabbard which can hold them and still be able to be attached to Bolt Caster.
@Peace Seeker But like, 1. It isn't he diclosed he isn't sponsored and bought it himself 2. If he was making an advertisment he would a) Cut that part out b) say how durable it is so you are just wrong
@@whyumad_ it would translate to about a .22lr cartridge going off kinetic energy. However you can put special high damage bolt heads on it and would leave a larger wound than a .22lr
Hi joerg, what's the weight distribution like? Most crossbows are notoriously front-heavy, I'm wondering how it compares to a standard or reverse draw crossbow
The winding solution seems a bit like it was engineered as an afterthought - should be built in really. I bet you could design a better winder than that Joerg
It is neat that it's totally silent, but I don't see any reason why it couldn't at the very least be an electric winch if it's not going to be integral.
@@Theduckwebcomics Hm. Actually, that might also explain why they didn't make it integral as well. Not so much for the weight, but adding the mechanisms might've changed the balance too much.
Nice innovation, It would be nice if the company could have put a receiver in the bottom an forward to fit a tripod in it to steady ones shot if laying prone. Nice video, what a good sense of humor and smiles. Thank you.
0:12 "it doesn't happen really often that someone invents a new revolutonary thing in the world of archery and crossbow" dude you dont know how wrong you are. You should check out the channel Joergsprave. He makes invention on those subjects every wee... Oh wait. But seriously have some self respect
I think what he meant to say was "it doesn't happen very often that someone ELSE invents a new revolutionary thing" haha! As far as I am concerned @JeorgSprave, you are one of the top leading archery/arrow propulsion experts in the world. Keep up the good work!
Jimbob Tabernacle 2000 is crazy, yeah it's kick ass but I have a 400 dollar crossbow at home that shoots just fine, no way in hell is it worth the x5 markup
@@cod6guy12 I don't Nor have I given you any reason to think so. Functionaly this bow is ugly as well. So much so that to anyone who shoots bows it is hardly worth mention. A tenpoint stealth makes this thing look like an underpowered, overpriced moron magnet.
This is quite an ingenious design. A more compact weapon; easier to carry. Also it looks cool! I don't know about putting the bolt in with my fingers though, I'm super paranoid around such things, accidents do happen, your cajones are bigger than mine. :D
You sir, are one of the most jolly Germans I have seen. You sort of remind me of my (passed) Opa with your constant humor. Him, he was full of both conventional jokes and a master of dark humor due to his upbringing and certain not so nice things he witnessed in his childhood.
I reckon he sounds like the Reverend from Ravensholm in Half life 2.. I do understand that it's entirely likely that this game predates most viewers here, meaning the reference may be lost on them.. ;)
Joerg you are the BEST!!!!! I love that you didn't edit out the flop 😂 you are the most real person on RU-vid and without question my favorite and probably only person I don't know but genuinely care about. You're the best man! 😃👍
Santa's elves are curiously absent, although l suspect that they perhaps passed away whilst doing what they loved. Or at the very least doing what the big fellow loves.
Interesting. I'd like to buy one but I rather wait because I feel the manufacturer might come up with an improved version soon. Thank you for your demonstration.
@@lambofsquirrel lol, Joerg has got such a great personality that it wouldn't matter what he was reviewing. That's what entertainment is all about, right? Oh, and that laugh though... 🤣
I would like to see you build a legless on it a repeater that would be absolutely awesome and everyone knows you are smart enough man to do this thank you for your video I've enjoyed all of them
Won't the springs loose their "tension power" after a while? It would probably take some time but, I think they eventually will loose SOME of the resistance needed to output maximum power.
Joerg. I like money as much as the next guy but what impresses me is originality and good character. You are brimming with both. ( imagine going to grandpa's house if grandpa was Joerg. Awesome lol)
