For those saying that Thor would beat Aquaman, possibly yes, but remember Thor had 3 movies of his own and 3 Avenger movies to grow in power and strength, it was a large process, Aquaman only had one movie of his own and appeared in "Justice League", if you give Aquaman more movies, and more time to develop his power, he could rival Thor's. He recently became the King of Atlantis, he still has a lot to learn.

Do we understand what hypersonic means though? Neither Wonder Woman nor Aquaman (on the ground) can break the sound barrier, let alone reach hypersonic speeds.

@key Issues the tectonic plate feat is Superman at his usual strength. His fight with doomsday is a weakened Supes, via Kryptonite. Which is most likely why he’s so much weaker in BvS than in Justice league! This means Wonder Woman and Aqua Man only scale to Superman who has just been exposed to Kryptonite, and not the tectonic plate feat in the newspaper!

I liked this movie very much. With that, I liked that only royalty have special abilities like hydrokinesis, fish telepathy and being able to breath air. I believe Aquaman lost to Orm in their first fight, as noted in the movie, because of Orm's experience and homecourt advantage...the last was absent in the final boss fight...above water. Probably, Atlan's trident also imparted to Aquaman experience much like in the cartoon Avatar. I still liked the movie and set the bar higher than what Wonder Woman set before.

His golden Trident which is now officially the signature TRIDENT 🔱 from the comics can pierce through Superman’s flesh and potentially hurt him. We do not know whether the Trident 🔱 has magical properties like the comics but we know it does amplify the telepathy of Aquaman significantly as seen during the finale when he used on it on Orm’s army of sharks 🦈 Aquaman is fully bulletproof or semi-bulletproof as he took a shotgun blast to the chest or face during the first battle with the mercenaries? He looked perfectly fine! His durability to take blows from Superman and beings of that level is impressive. Only Alantian weapons can harm or kill him as demonstrated by Black Manta The TRIDENT allows him to command any sea farring aquatic creature so Aquaman is like a Demi-god sea 🌊 superhero status in the movies.

Aquaman was defeated by Ocean Master on their first fight because Ocean Master grew up in Atlantis and trained as a warrior all his life under water. Vulko even said it before their fight in the Ring of Fire. Aquaman trained on the surface.

It should also be mentioned that orm was able to beat aqua man because he wasn’t used to the 360 degree combat like orm was despite getting a few good hits in, however when the situation was reversed and they fought above water aqua man more or less gave orm a beat down with aqua man having a better quality trident then last times. So I think they are matched against each other it’s just that they are both adept at fighting in 2 different environments

I would say that Arthur was in a little shock when Orm shattered their mother's trident, I do agree that Orm did beat him in the water though.

Thor before stormbreaker or even Ragnarok would be an interesting match up though I wonder what Aquaman's durability to lightning is like, I presume it wouldn't be great but not pathetic either because we saw that Steppen wolf was stunned and cried out from Zeus' puny lightning attack however aquaman is a good deal less durable than said new God.

Great vid! Like how in depth you got. I was a marvel fan but after seeing aquaman I'm starting to like DC more and more. Superman and Batman fans kinda made me steer clear from DC for the longest time. What a shame if the storylines are this good. Sounds like you're a huge Superman and DC fan. Any suggestions in DC comics that might make me change my mind about superman, Batman or DC in general. I wanna give DC a fair shot.

Man, how is MCU HULK going to beat DCEU Aquaman ? Sure, HULK can bash Aquaman to the ground and do LOKI style smackdown but Aquaman can take heavy hits from Superman . Well, Aquaman trident 🔱 can hurt the HULK too. Hulk got his butt kicked in by the Hulkbuster armor, got his ass whooped by Thanos , his greatest feats are probably just beating Abomination and Fenris the Wolf 🐺 and stopping a Chlturi dreadnaught Granted, he was the undisputed champion on Sekar in Thor Ragnorok but most of its champions are pretty weak, only he was still beaten by Thor.

So Atlan's Trident is the strongest then we have Orm's trident and then we have Arhurs mother trident, I've read somewhere that Atlan's trident is so powerful that it can pierce through Superman's skin ? so I think it is safe to say that Atlan's trident is more powerful than Steppenwolf axe ? but how about Orm's trident ? is it more powerful than Steppenwolf's axe ? also I heard that with Atlan's trident Arhur is able to summon lighting, shame they didn't show that in the movie ( I mean they shown that lighting was going through that trident and hitting it, but I wish they shown Aquaman casting lighting left and right and stuff like that)

i'm going to put this out there to feed curiosity and that's it, there are a couple of comics where aquaman actually goes head to head vs superman and they both had to call it even (they were really letting themselves go on this one) in order to stop the destruction of the earth from another enemy (not adding anything else cuz this is actually a pretty good run of comics) my point being, the movie is not using the source material as it could, regardless i do think this aquaman is cool. just saying, for clarification purposes the OG a quaman can kick even kryptons finest (specially cuz he falls under the category of meta human/magic )

Wait wait...who says Steppenwolf is faster than Wonder Woman? Aquaman was able to keep up because they were all fighting at normal speeds. Steppenwolf may not be average in the speed department, but he's shown nothing suggesting he's faster than Wonder Woman. And Aquaman would only be able to keep up with Diana speed wise in water.

In the Darkseid War the character s get transformed by Darkseid dying. He should at least get some powers from posieden.

I left the Aquaman movie with friends smiling and talking about our favorite parts. We left The Last Jedi in dead silence like we had been at a funeral. Aquaman is in my top 10 of movies in 2018.

Bit of a missed opportunity, but Aquaman's second trident should've named "Poseidon's Trident".

Since the days of JL cartoon TV show I've always told people that aquaman was powerful and nobody listened. He is one of the few in the justice league who could probably go toe to toe with superman probably won't win but could definitely hold superman back for a period of time. I was terried that the movie wouldn't do him justice and I'm proud to say it exceeded expectation. Watching half the feats he did was just impressive and shows what a proper DC movie could be like once they get their heads out of their arses. Can't wait till when a JL movie exceeds the batman trilogy which is pure gold.

When I was a kid, my very first comics were Dick Tracy. I didn't care much for crime-drama, so when I found myself at the doorstep of DC, I disregarded Batman. I gravitated toward Aquaman, and he has been my #1 favorite DC hero since the early 90's. He's a total and complete badass, a ruthless leader, a cold-hearted killer, and a devout lover. I have ALWAYS upheld that Aquaman was a serious titan of a hero, and it fills my heart with so much joy to see DC do him justice.

Aquaman has the same traits as Poseidon, the traits of an super atlantean. Super human strength, endurance, reflexes, speed and can command a considerable amount of magic. This guy has a strike force of 80 tons, threw a aquatic ocean liner weighing 160 000 tons in the air and lifted a submarine out of the water. If you take in consideration the weight of the sub plus the weight of the water and the force he was swimming against that was around 580 000 tons. He is incredibly strong. He swims 7000 miles per hour and run 8x the speed of sound but like if he needs it his body is practically impenetrable. He can take extreme pressures, extreme heat and cold he can withstand blows from super human beings, explosives and machine guns. The impact of a bullet is 3000 psi this guy can take impact of 15 000 psi and more. He also has telepathy and sonar detection. He is a force the be reckoned with.

if i remember correctly, in the movie they had Atlantis was destroyed by the power supply the same power unit that forced evolution
