Hey Michael - Great information as always. You say that you can't target an ASIN as a negative in an auto ad group, but when I am in my auto ad group (which includes Close, Loose, Complements and Substitutes) in my auto campaign in Amazon, I see tabs on the left menu for Targeting and Negative Targeting. If I click on Negative Targeting, I get 2 tabs across the top. One for Negative Keywords, and one for Negative Products. If click on the Negative Products tab and add an ASIN as a negative, isn't that doing exactly that? Targeting an ASIN as a negative in an auto ad group? I do realize it's not targetting it as a negative specifically for the Complements and Substitutes (since it's for the auto ad group which is all 4 auto types). What am I missing here? Thanks!
Hey Greg -- you are correct, and not missing anything! :D This episode was recorded a while ago before Amazon added that feature/ability to negate ASINs from Autos. It's a good update :)
Same confusion with me Greg! If we put an asin in the "negative product" bar will it not treat it as an negative and stop our ad from displaying on that asin ? OR it doesn't works. I'm bit of confused here 🤔 I heard this from other PPC expert's as well, but don't know what's right 😕
