The camera angles, the editing and the little known gaming techniques (not showing them fully hand you something in in-game cut scenes) This nigga knows his shit

I love how they blank out the curse words for the main conversations but in the choices its still there

The slight movement in between choices got me weak 😂

It might not be considered an RPG but this was one of the reasons I liked Way of The Samurai 3 because not only could you literally kill everyone in the game, you could kill the save point guys or they could go crazy and try and kill you, but you got an ending for doing it. The game had a bunch of endings and different new game modes and the ability to unlock every npc as a playable skin, like Instant kill mode was fun cause any kit could kill you or the enemy and force a game over so you could beat the game one shoting samurai in full armor as a housewife with her trusty short green onion. There was also cool little details like the shameful slash which is when fighting a female character in a kimono you could do a low glancing slash that would cut off the bottom of the kimono forcing the female character to stop fighting you and cover up their legs and scurry away. You could also flip your sword and use the blunt side to knock your opponent unconscious and do a no kill run, or just beat them unconscious with your hands which takes forever.

I hate when games disrespect you, and you can't retaliate.

Modern rpgs allowing choice= illusion I play KOTOR 2 & Dragon Age Origins every year because they’re the last true RPG’s I played.. *shoutouts to my blood mages & Sith*
