Thanks for sharing! From looking at you I first thought running came easy for you. My background is I was obese, I was 370 lbs at my heaviest four years ago. I started running spring this year after having reached 220 lbs. I never thought I'd be able to run, and definitively thought I'd never find it fun. But I do love running now! My first run was like 80 yards, and I kept doubling that every run for a few weeks, focusing on form and learning to run slow and not galloping. This Sunday I went for a 2 hour long run on a snowy path in the woods here in midwinter Sweden. I'll keep on running no matter the weather!

I had the same first impression: healthy looking dude that enjoys running and now a content creator. But there's always a story behind someone. I would have never guessed cancer because he looks healthy and quite young. Good on him

Yani, running did nothing for you, runnng brought out the hero in you. Running was the vehicle you used to expose the inner strength you always possessed. I know what that throat burn feels like and what it takes to do it over and over and over and what seems to be endless over again. Don’t ever sell yourself short you are an exceptional person, truly to rise out of those depths is incredible difficult no one can understand what it takes to overcome the affects of that illness unless you’ve been thru it and I mean “ thru” it damn man “YOU” are the real deal. You made cancer just a word ❤

Such an inspiring video. I’ve always been insecured about my running journey. I started running 4 months ago and still insecure about running. I’ve always been thinking that everyone will judged me on running. I felt different for trying something new. And now that I got a couple of friend that always there to support me and Im really grateful for it. Motivation and discipline are both important part of everything. Thanks for this video as Im even more motivated to run. Cheers

Hi Yani, I just found your channel and this is the second video I watched after the 1st in your Boston series. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having the courage to share your story. I am 61 yrs old and have been running off and on for over 40 yrs, in the last few years running has become more important to my physical and mental health than ever before. A week ago, I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). I was devastated, although I am cleared (and in fact encouraged) to keep running while listening closely to my body. To see my HR elevated and sometimes irregular put my faith in myself and my running in complete limbo even though millions of people live with AFib. I am still running, listening to my body, but still trying to figure it out. I know this pales in comparison to what you went through, but you sharing your story has had a very profound and positive effect on me. This video strengthened me in ways I can never thank you for enough. As you mentioned, I will not let this define me, nor be my fate. You spoke to me in this video and helped renew my faith and belief in myself to keep getting out there and getting it done. Thank you. I will be following every step of your journey to the Boston Marathon and beyond. Good luck and Godspeed. All the best from Vancouver Island, BC. Cheers, Scott🤓

You're a very strong person Scott. I'm really glad this video was inspiring to you. You're experience although different than mine, doesn't pale in comparison at all. It's all relative and no matter what the circumstance, it takes strength to move forward. So as much as I've inspired you, you've inspired me. Keep working and having a good time beating every obstacle life throws at you.
