It is quite sad that songs are getting shorter on average, because I really don’t mind longer songs if they’re not repetitive for their duration. With Ariana as an example, her longest song on her first album was 5 minutes and 40 seconds. Fast forward to now, the longest song on her most recent album was only 4 minutes. And, the latter has the most songs under 3 minutes out of all of her albums. I think Ariana only has like 5 songs in total that go over 5 minutes (A Little More Homework, Honeymoon Avenue, Almost Is Never Enough, Knew Better / Forever Boy, Get Well Soon, and, if you’re counting features, Time.) I really wish she had more.
