No click baits, no weird titles, hardwork to produce high quality videos like this, they should be what we should find on youtube more often. Showing to the people, the people in the world.
@@Arrowshift Bruh you're way too loose with your definition of clickbait. This title explains what the video is gonna be about without withholding any essential info or misleading anyone into clicking on it.
@@Arrowshift Nope, Clickbait is about bait and switch. If a title is accurate about content, it isn't Clickbait no matter how much crowd appeal it has. There is a pit master, he is Miguel Vidal, he is making brisket taco.
He’s so knowledgeable. He knows the wood, the cow, the seasonings, the cooking techniques... You can tell his passion by how closely he pays attention to the details.
I understand that brother relationship. When I grew up we were poor in the inner city but by the time my brother was born we made it to suburbia. We are 10 years apart but I love my guy
For anyone watching this who has never tried the food it is as amazing as it looks. Super lucky to live 3 minutes from his food truck and LOVE the food here. I can honestly say it's worth visiting if you're in Austin.
So honored and humbled to have been able to learn about Tex Mex BBQ from Miguel Vidal. Spent a year in the pits there at Valentinaʻs experiencing firsthand what true Tejano cuisine is all about. Respect.
brilliance i love this family. i want to fly there from new zealand eat that incredible food, talk and work with those artists , meet the family and never leave.
These guys are legit. As a hispanic who also works in the industry, this video really hits close to home. "48 hours of prep time, to make something that'll be eaten in 3 min" really resonated. My Mom loves Fideo. Favorite Pit name: _Maynard_ . So much to like here. Great vid. I wish these guys continued success- they deserve it with all that work they are putting into everything. Thanks guys!
Miguel's passion and knowledge shine through when he talks about his food. I would love to visit his place and try their whole menu one day. Great stuff and much love from the UK.
This guy is a straight professional! We will be in Austin for the spring game in April. After watching this video, I have no choice but to stop and support his business! This guy is the definition of someone living the American Dream and working hard to accomplish it! The passion he has for his craft is what makes people successful! Wish more people were like him. Can’t wait to try his food!
You just can’t beat someone who takes immense pride in their work. Everything looks so scrumptious, like at the level where your eyes roll up into your head.
Amen, that's what makes truly America great. When everyone can bring their culture and heritage together and we can celebrate every single one with open minds and open hearts. That's the American we need again.
I grew up in San Antonio and was around my dad's barbeque pit so much I joke it smoked my soul. Now living in NC and the people are friendly, weathers nice but this video makes me incredibly homesick. I wish all these restaurants and their owners the very best and hope they make it through all this.
Just so we're all clear: this is fine dining. The amount of knowledge and care that goes on in the preparation of everything; just because there's no white tablecloths doesn't mean it's not fine dining.
You're not being woke calling this fine dining. You're just being cringey. GTFO. You don't have to label something to be fine dining you find delicious.
Berry O I’m sorry man but there probably isn’t going to be an end to quarantine and this guy will be out of business because America is now totalitarian, call it communism, socialism, fascism whatever you like it’s a government ruling over everyone. you are not a free person in LA as I am I’m not a free person in my native land. We are all slaves to the fed. Or the very least he will have to pay for it in something other than dollars because the federal reserve note is about to collapse
Dude Eater...this is intense!! The Holy Grail if i must say so out of my own admission. Could feel the heritage and culture speak through his ethos and work ethic. Thanks for enlightening us with this man's deep seated love and intrinsic dedication to the craft. The moment he gave away most of his recipes i knew he's a true chef and pitmaster. True chefs dont hold back, they impart the best they can. This guy is sure to leave a legacy behind! Big ups on this mint stuff by Eater...we need more honest and soulful ones like these. This is not some mechanical engineering...it is art..both by the man himself and Eater!! Props!!
Just watching this video and hearing his pride makes me happy being American ...we have so many cultures and food like this place made with love can't wait to get my chance to try your food..
My girlfriends family lives across the street from Miguel. He is truly passionate and loves making food for people. They also have done so much for the food industry in ATX during the quarantin. Best BBQ and owners hands down
I had the pleasure of meeting Miguel when I was in Austin in February with a few other BBQ RU-vidrs on a bbq crawl and man, not only is he just as laid back in person the food... damn... the food is damn good. This is definitely a spot I'll be back to visit next time I am back in Austin.
Absolutely my favorite BBQ truck in Austin! Valentina’s should be on the top of everyone’s list of places to eat in Texas. Brisket tacos are pure perfection!
@@lunatik383 while I agree with your first point of it being common knowledge and bark the smoke ring has no impact on the flavours whatsoever. Any true pitmaster knows it’s purely aesthetic
I finally tried their barbacoa (sundays only) and man it was the most delicious thing ever. I've been all over Mexico and being from South Texas, we love our barbacoa on weekend mornings. 10/10. His twist on Mexican and texan food is top notch
I'm just going to say this, based on what I'm seeing here this man has met or surpassed the highest levels of BBQ tradition and technique set by Franklin and others. His knowledge has reached the same level of insane attention to detail. The direction of the logs, the type of wood.. the mix of green and dried sticks.. the rub, bark.. everything is done with a complete disregard for time/resources consumed, but meticulous, overwhelming attention is paid to the process and end result. The work of a master.
This is one of the most unique pit master eps I've seen. You never hear about this kind of food, ever. It's almost familiar, but has a unique feel as well. Like a story.
I remember last year at ACL he posted on Instagram asking his fan to get the attention of Chino (The lead singer of Deftones). As the day went on he somehow got to go back stage and serve them his BBQ. Watching the whole thing unfold was so amazing and showed how bbq really brings people together.
I met Aaron Franklin the first time I went to his restaurant. He told me I had to check out Valentina’s and that was the best bbq tip I’ve ever received. I’ve eaten bbq all over the county, but Valentina’s has a the one I’m obsessed with. So good and a must try.
Get your self glasses .Or maybe change the country, for a better vision influence. Because your comment sounds like you don't know how food tastes like .
This was like instant memories from my childhood, learning the love of the kitchen from my g-ma to making homemade tortillas to eating fideo and grilling out with pop's and going to lowrider car shows as a kid. complete poetry in motion !! This video touches home in so many ways, Thanks Miguel for sharing the love !
sven van lots of German settlers in Texas. You can stop by New Braunfels and see some of the old world German influence still around. They have the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the US there.
I love watching these types of videos on small restaurants and street food the chefs and owners have so much wisdom on life that you can get from watching them
I am from New Zealand and would love to spend some time and learn your style of cooking. You are a very clear in explaining things. 'this is real food'.
i love how you care about your food that its higher quality, and "I would get my hands chopped off by my parents for using store bought tortillas". raised right by your parents i am definitely going to have to come here when i visit Texas.
@10:35 This guy is extremely knowledgeable about regions and food. The way he elaborated about the tortillas shows how much passion and understanding he has.Traveling to eat here from AZ fo shizzo
Miguel is literally the nicest dude. I followed him and his food from 6th to Brodie to Menchaca...Valentina's is the real deal. My boyfriend and I LOVE it. Always get extra tortillas..ALWAYS
Lucky I grew up the same way in California. That style comes from Chihuahua Mexico home of the flower tortilla. My mother was born in Chihuahua, Ojinaga and was the queen of tortillas de harina. RIP Mom..
Love the story, love his attitude and passion about his craft. You can see he loves cooking. Would love try the brisket egg and bean taco that looks awesome. Hopefully after this pandemic I will definitely make it a point to travel to valentina's BBQ
I would swim over ocean just to taste this. It looks so amazing. Something much more influenced with culture than for example restaurant. Well done, good job.
of all the food videos ive seen this guy really knows what hes talking about. Skill comes naturally when you have the Will and Desire to achieve something
I usually don’t comment on videos but god damn I just got say you can see it in his eyes that homeboy worked hard to get where he’s at and love it. Keep pouring the love hombre 💪🏽
