How the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 will appreciate in value over time 

It's gonna be a supercar killer!

Select ZR1’s and Z06’s will continue to climb with the right specs but I think they will come back down. The C8 Z06 will be a car to buy a few years after they release it and hold for the long haul.

Gasoline will always be available, however i think we will switch over to synthetic fuels in the future

@@highoctaneonly9328 There are 2 parts: When inflation hits (I am in business and raw material pricing is escalating at a rate I have never seen in my 50+ years doing this. The products I sell impact every consumer market.) Additionally there is an almost surreal euphoria in the stock market. As inflation raises its ugly head, there will be a significant negative paradigm shift in the economy, which will impact on how people spend money. The other aspect is those who are serious about the car, and actually using it (track, etc) will always want the next best car. Naturally aspirated is not a big deal when you are out-lapped by cars running TT. Trust me, been there, seen that. I had one of the first C5R-427 in the US, a real 650 HP / 600 TQ exceptional track car. When time to sell, it depreciated significantly. It is rare for a mass produced car to appreciate in value, especially in the short term. I understand the enthusiasm, as obvious by the fact I am in the order queue, but we really do not know how good this car actually is. Once GM posts lap times at Nurburgring, then we will know.

It won’t. We are in a very unique time in history where economic variables are causing certain items to go up in price. Once supply chain and production issues are resolved, cars will go back to normal. Z06 is not a limited production car. It will fetch top dollar for those who can’t wait but will be discounted by the tail end of its production run like the C7Z. I’ll still be getting one though.

I was more talking about years into the future when manufacturers go full electric. This is probably one of the last naturally aspirated V8 cars, making it desirable down the road. However, you are correct in the short term

Ok, I should probably amend my original statement. It’s still a “Sports car” it just doesn’t feel the same
