The Chicago Bears, a franchise that has been brutal to watch with a 312 and 314 record since 1985. But the last couple of seasons you could sense something was coming. And Ryan Poles has completely changed the excitement in the city about the team after bringing in a few players, making trades, and now absolute exploding this offseason making this one of the most talked about teams in the NFL as we start to approach week one of the 2024 season. You can just go back to 2022 where the bears went 3 and 14 with this roster, to what they have now, and it's almost a complete 360 turnaround. And it all came from the Carolina Panthers decision to go all in and trade for the number 1 pick which ended up being Alabama's Bryce Young, which gave Chicago the number pick in this year's draft after a terrible Panthers season. And Chicago finally caught a break with the number one guy in this year's draft being a potential generational Qb in Caleb Williams out of USC, I mean say what you want, but if you watch the tape you will quickly realize this guy is special. And the Bears over the last few years have been building up the talent around him and after a very long and patient wait this is the year that everything came together, and now this is one of the most anticipated seasons in Chicago Bears History.

No matter how good the player was in college, the transition to the speed and size of NFL-players can be a learning process for even the most gifted players. Bears fans need to be patient and supportive. Look for *improvement* this year … not a Super Bowl.

With the weapons he has and the talent he has and the work ethic he’s already shown since being on the bears and even before he was drafted he was working with the bears receivers. The odds of him being a failure this season is very slim. They will Taylor the offense for how good he’s doing the better he gets and more he learns the more they will open up the playbook. They will keep it easy early on in the season and than open it up. With the defense he won’t have to do too much to win early. He will pass for at least 3500 yards and 25 touchdowns in total with passing and rushing and that’s the floor this season

@chestrockwell5079 It's a team sport. The whole team plays well they win. Caleb doesn't need to be Patrick Mahomes overnight. However, within 4 years, we should be far into the playoffs, or he needs to be gone, just like Trubisky and Fields. Unlike Fields, he has a revamped O-Line and a bakers dozen of good recievers and running backs.His rookie year, he needs at least 9 wins to be legit, with the supporting cast he's got.The Bears even have a good defense. He does get the benefit of the doubt for next season because, remember, he is a rookie.

What I meant was the Bears are super deep at WR, have a top shelf TE, a great pass catching back, an average offensive line and an OC who looks capable. All of the pieces are in place. So if Caleb sucks, it’s really on him Justin had excuses to fall back on. No WR outside of one year with DJ, shoddy offensive line, sub par RBs and a dummy at OC. All of which you can make an argument for Justin not being set up to succeed. But Caleb has no excuses. He’s set up for success. If he is as advertised, we’re in good shape. If he’s not what was advertised, we may need another year or 2 to continue this rebuild

I am a life-long Bears fan. I've heard this same hype for decades.Nobody will be happier than me, if this Bears team goes all the way. However, having heard endless QB hype forever and never seeing it ever pan out, I don't want to hear words. I want to see action. We haven't had a top-tier QB since Sid Luckman over 100 years ago. Jim Machmahon won a Superbowl, and Rex Grossman got us to the big dance, but let's face it, both were mediocre QB's at best. Do or don't do. Don't talk shit before they've done shit.😮

Every time the Bears draft a new QB, the hype train pulls out of the station and ends up running right off a cliff at the end of it. I've been a Bears fan since the early 70s, and I've seen it happen over and over again. That's why I want to see it happen , not hear what some armchair, amateur, analyst thinks will happen.

Same thing when we signed Cutler, who turned out to be great regular season and a choke artist in the playoffs.Have you been living under a rock for decades or something?

You should keep an eye on a player named Roshon Johnson. He didn’t get enough opportunities last year plus he got injured but when he’s on the field, he runs hard. He would remind you of Montgomery but he’s more likely to break a big play. I think he can thrive on an inside zone scheme which is what Shane Waldron, the OC, runs. He has an outside chance to steal the starting job.

King David was essential. Hes still got more yards receiving as bear than Foreman Herbert Johnson or Homer. Breaking tackles.Heart.Toughness. Ball security. Always kept you in the game. Lions now experience that. Swift will get less touches perhaps with like 3 WR1s and 2 TEs . Plays should be designed by Waldron specifically for him. Getsy couldn't design a play.

I'm a Bears fan but the NFL doesn't fear the Bears, not even close. We have a quarterback with potential but he's not Mahomes, Burrow, Allen or Rodgers. We have a new Coordinator in Shane Waldron, but our offense is still learning the offense. The Bears will be good in a couple years, but I doubt it'll be this year. Flus thought it was a bad idea for Caleb to get 1 or 2 possessions in an otherwise meaningless game which in reality, it would've been better for Caleb and the offense to run some plays in a real game situation.

At least Justin as a player has a shot at redeeming himself in Pittsburgh. Hes had such a bad start with Trey Lance taking his start money. Luke Getsy screwcalling his plays. Justin is straight out toughest and fastest guy in NFL. His Howitzer cannon is incredible. He needs top notch coaching and he will rival Ravens Llamar J. I hope Caleb will be tough and OLine better with Bates and Shelton.

@rodzilla5341 No, that's not acceptable. Fields won seven games, with a terrible O-Line and only one good TE and WR to throw to. Fields didn't have Swift at RB either. He needs to win at a minimum of 10 games with the better lineup he's been handed. That to me would signal he's legit.

Here’s the problem, Caleb’s dad, he asked his lawyers to find loopholes in the contract to get more money, he’s the 1 that tried to get a % of the team that drafted him even though he hasn’t taken a snap, people are saying it’s going to happen during Hard Knocks, I truly believe that Carl is trying to do things to change the rules for Caleb which won’t happen……
