"As heroes, we shall return to Russia," said Reznov to Dimitry after the change of flag on the Reichstag but the least they knew, was they would die tragically and at the hands of their own comrades, this was the reason Reznov wished they should have died in Berlin. When I first played COD World at War and saw the death of Chernov I thought the poor guy died miserably but after I played Black Ops and saw the demise of both Reznov and Dimitry I now realize he was fortunate to get killed by his own enemy atleast he had no questions, no regrets and complains in his eyes unlike Dimitry who died with so many questions, WHY HE HAS TO DIE LIKE THIS, WHAT HE HAS DONE TO DESERVE THIS.

When Chernov died, I stayed with him for like a couple minutes or so-maybe longer. I did that so that he knew that he was not alone in his final moments. And that he was someone that we all loved for his humanity on the battlefield that we all could never forget RIP РИП Chernov, you will never be forgotten 😔

Hey Bud, I did the same and I was trying to end his pain due to too many burns but the game won't let me kill him, after some time I had to leave him in agony, he indeed was a brave soldier with a heart, one of my favorite character in WaW.
