I pretty much agree with everything said here. In addition to learning about good "edgy" comedy, the DIY scene allows us mere mortals to laugh out loud at those who think they're good but are complete garbage. DIY does not discriminate. Even better is when garbage comics think they're so important that they try to shut critics down. It's a win-win from a spectator's perspective.
