How The Laveo Dry Flush Toilet Works

In this video we demonstrate how the Laveo Dry Flush toilet works.
As you will see, there is no water, no chemical cassette to empty, it runs off its own battery or off AC, DC, 12V etc.
Unfortunately, at this stage, the mylar bags are not biodegradable. Laveo has been vigorously testing a range of biodegradable bags however none so far are able to keep in the smell which is obviously critical when it comes to sanitation within confined spaces.
Please see www.dryflush.com.au for questions or more information.

How much does the bag cartridge cost and the powder?
@erolei1650
@erolei1650 Месяц назад
Very expensive in Australia pee powder $25 Cartridges like 6 for I think $ 269.
@ashxf
@ashxf Месяц назад
So the cartridge has 15 flushes. Let's say you go on a weekend campout and only use 6 flushes. Do you leave the waste in there until your next campout 3 months later or can you dispose of the used flushes, keeping the other 9 intact, for the next campout? Because otherwise you're throwing away unused (expensive) unused flushes, or you're storing excrement for a few weeks in your shed.

You need to use all 15 flushes.. you can't separate them.. sorry to say..

If you had 8 number ones and one number two per day, how much would it cost per day? 😅😅 I was laughing so much that I could hardly text!!. I really am interested though. I live Darwin rural and I did have a septic but the government changed their rules and I had to stop using it so I have been sitting on a Porta potty for nearly 32 years, this seems like a great improvement, but I'm 78 now, so I hope I would get some reasonable use our of it, and don't croak too soon. By the way how much does the toilet itself cost?

So bad for the environment. Mylar never breaks down

One step forward, two steps back.
@Borrrrnana
@Borrrrnana 10 месяцев назад
Can you explain this to me?
@Navisworker
@Navisworker 10 месяцев назад
@@Borrrrnana The very property that makes mylar long-lasting and durable also makes it a concern for the environment. Mylar is non-biodegradable, which means it does not break down into natural substances over time. When discarded improperly, it can persist in the environment for hundreds of years. Mylar waste, such as balloons, packaging materials, and other products, can accumulate in landfills, taking up space and contributing to the overall waste problem. Since it doesn't break down easily, it adds to the volume of non-recyclable waste. Over time, mylar can break down into smaller pieces, which can contribute to microplastic pollution when it enters ecosystems. Microplastics are harmful to aquatic life and can potentially enter the food chain, posing risks to both marine and terrestrial organisms. Producing mylar involves the use of fossil fuels, energy, and chemicals, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and resource consumption. In summary, mylar's durability can be advantageous in certain applications, but its resistance to environmental breakdown can also make it problematic for the environment when not managed responsibly.

I prefer demonstrations (ads) to show everything and use adult language. Have you checked with Waste Management or Republic to see what their attitude is about human waste being dumped into their containers. Public Health is Okay with this?

Plenty of dog poop going into bins…can’t see what the difference is
@unclegeorge7845
@unclegeorge7845 Месяц назад
@@aussies30 Dog feces just airn't the same thing. (I'd suggest that "down the toilet" would be a far healthier disposal site for dog poop.) My comment is addressing the safe and intelligent management of human waste. Between 10 and 20 percent of the population are alcoholics. Not a great recommendation for the use of alcohol.
