More like top 3 because the source say he was a threat to the cosmic force and the entire universe also he was quote as the darkest power I'm the galaxy when a post nathema ritual vitiate was hidding exar kun was far more powerful alive than as a spirit confirmed by Tom veich, and his spirit scalates to one version of luke Skywalker 1 years prior new jedi order
Lol, it does not take into account the Sith who lived after him. There are about 10 of the same quotes about Sidious being the most powerful sith. Here's some of them: "Yoda went after Palpatine in the empty Senate chamber, but could not defeat the most powerful Sith Lord in history." --The New Essential Chronology “Plagueis the Wise, who in his time truly was, except at the end, trusting that the Rule of Two had been superseded, and failed to realize that he would not be excused from it. Plagueis the Wise, who forged the most powerful Sith Lord the galaxy has ever known, and yet who forgot to leave a place for himself; whose pride never allowed him to question that he would no longer be needed.” --Darth Sidious, Darth Plagueis "Beyond the vision of the Jedi Knights, somewhere within the darkness, the greatest master of evil ever to use Sith power bides his time. As his strength grows, his plans begin to shape the course of the galaxy, and his snares await the unsuspecting." --The Complete Visual Dictionary "When Yoda crosses sabers with the movie's arch-villain, he doesn't launch into a pinwheeling display of acrobatics, as he did against Count Dooku in Episode II. Instead, Yoda faces the dark side's fury, channeled by the most powerful Sith Lord in history." --Insider #86: Yoda's Right Arm
@@joakimareskoug1437 those are for information as well so what's your point? This quote is for information too: "Alongside Mace Windu, with whom he served on the Jedi Council, Yoda was the most respected and most powerful Master ever to walk the corridors of the Jedi Temple" Source: Fact File 1.
@@fdjtron1732 seems like theres alot of contradictions in sw. But what i meant was that the quote about Exar was from the ot-era, the emperor wasnt even on the "most powerful-radar", even tho both of them did exist in the lore. Sidious being the most powerful is an after-construct.
@@joakimareskoug1437even if we say that he wasn't the most powerful sith lord ever, exar kun has alot of quotes and sources that say he was the most powerful and dangerous sith lord near 4000 years before the birth of luke tom veich confirmed on his Twitter that exar kun alive was more powerful than his spirit version which as a drained depleted of his energy and force reserves was Able to possess a yoda like potential kyp durrun taught him abilities and lightsaber skills that luke never saw from yoda obi wan and emperor papaltine reborn exar kun completely overwhelmed a luke Skywalker who was 2 times more powerful than dark empire luke Skywalker who was more powerful as return of the jedi vader as in the EU luke and vader were equal when they fought exar kun managed to pull luke soul out of his body and almost consumed it the jedi academy guide said exar kun was a threat to the entire universe and in the tales of the jedi comic guide it said exar kun is a threat to the cosmic force
This highlights one of the main differences between Legends and Canon. (Besides the obvious out of universe reasons) Legends: Luke faced many challenges soon after VI and took on adult students who could mostly take care of themselves. He learned he had to trust his friends and students with his teachings and that he was not the only Jedi to protect the galaxy. Canon: Luke became a legend after Endor and took a backseat to galactic affairs only coming out for Jedi knowledge and personal missions. He took on a group of children to raise by himself (the first of which being his powerful nephew) who idolized and looked up to him blindly and were never knighted. All this to say Legend got it right because Luke did a lot. Canon failed because he didn’t do shit.
Book of Boba Fett showed us that Luke was making the same mistakes as the old Jedi Order, right from the start. Giving Grogu the ultimatum of having to choose the Jedi way or maintain his connection to Din, no middle ground. Legends Luke would've never done that.
