Great well thought out review!! I was able to grab one limited WR Blue 6spd the last week of December. Only have 200 miles on mine because of weather in my area. I cannot wait for spring. Your review was intelligent and presentation was good. I have not been this excited about a new car since my very first new car purchased which was a 1989 CRX Si. I believe that the BRZ is the best car hands down for the money that is available on the market right now.
I couldn't agree with you more. I can only imagine the hype around the CRX back then. What a beauty in WR blue. I'm sure the hunt for one wasn't easy! Good on you for waiting to fully enjoy it, I would love to see you post about it. I've driven the outgoing models but only sat in this new one. It's twice as expensive and not twice as fast but then again the Cayman has better chasis, breaks, suspensions and stuff that don't have much to do with power. A simple front-back break kit for the BRZ it's like $5k then $2k for better suspension, $2-3k for forged wheels and tires, like $10k for a turbo kit, like $1k for tune and dyno... Then you also need forged internals to withstand the higher power output, etc. Not to mention that these many modifications to a car also come with a plethora of issues too while the Cayman will just work as intended with some basic maintenance. So either you're your own mechanic or you go with a Cayman.
Two of them wouldn’t be considered normally aspirated either. And the gear ratios on the manual Cayman are ridiculously tall. If you were driving a Cayman on a canyon road, you’d put in it 2nd and never change gears. How much fun is that?
Common misconception is that it comes with Michelin ps4s’ but it comes with Michelin ps4’s. The confusion comes from people dropping the apostrophe and readers are left with “Michelin ps4s” which is up to interpretation
we are to blame? how soft does one need to fail to flick their wrist? I had over 8 cars since 16 and I am 40 now. every car was and is manual. There just isn't cars I want for sale. the srt4 did 5.2 0-60 in 2004. what are the car makers doing to make more speed? 🤷♂️
