Right now he's young, but I hope his parents endorse healthy habits in his life as he gets older, and to tell him what those habits are/the why (if they haven't already). Healthy habits help people cope with life, which a lot of us don't realize till we're older and shit needs to get done. I know a lot of people who started drugs around 13/14 including my own cousins because they weren't taught how to cope with life. I know this is a hell of an assumption on my part, and I am young (20 & not a parent), so I could be wrong, but I am speaking from experience of getting my life in order. Spent all my teenage years overthinking about trauma I've experienced, yet I realized as I got older that a lot of it was caused by unhealthy habits in my life (symptoms dropped significantly once fixed). It doesn't mean the kid here would be perfectly happy teeanger or person, but he'd at least be given the tools when he's ready to start being healthier.

A 15 year old in Australia decided to conduct a school shooting on the anniversary of this. Difference being gun controls! Sure, he managed to steal his parents truck & 2 guns & drive to the school & start shooting at it & no-one had bothered to lock the doors at the school & kids were moving between classes at the time of the shooting, so outdoors, visible/in gun range even from outside the schools fences, they all had to run for their lives, but again, GUN CONTROLS! ZERO deaths in Australia because of GUN CONTROLS! The kids in Texas AND the rest of the US deserve better! They deserve to be protected, not traumatised for life (however long that life may be, which is much shorter than in the rest of the developed world because of the gun violence inflicted on them)
