The Incredibles didn't end Syndrome. It was Edna. She's the only person that makes suits for supers and specifically says, "No Capes" when working with Mr. Incredible. It is possible that she knew that Syndrome was no good and proceeded to make him a suit with a cape. A cape that ultimately sucked him into a Airplane propeller.

Her name is Mirage becuase no one knows what she really is to anything. Syndrome assumes she's a lover, and assistant, but she turned on him, Mr. Incredible assumed she was a goverment agent, then assumed she was a super villian, then a savior Ms. incredible assumed she was a mistress, but then figured out that she was trying to assist Mr. Incredible. Dash and Violet don't interact with her at all, becuase their minds aren't Poisoned by the N.S.A's attempts of supressing supers, and removing them from exsistance in the super hero rebelion humans had(a civil rights movement? but reversed.) everyone saw different things, and acted on what they though they saw. they fell for the MIrage, and suffered. also, syndrome was dilutional at the start of the movie, might have just been writiers making a joke, as if Mirage was just something he thought he could obtain, like his goal of extermnating mr. Incredible

Technically, what you're saying about Mirage would make sense. However if Mirage was an AI, that could mean she was the mastermind of this entire situation. Once she was created, she could've run this entire thing, and even played syndrome. She could've placed guards and even places other objects such as that camera bird. That leads to the guards being led out and letting Mr.Incredible be saved. She was always for the heros in this case, and had planned to take down Syndrome from the start. However, at the end of the movie she disappears being left on the Island. Could she be controlling the robot as well as the plane? Could she have killed syndrome, that being her ultimate goal? Who knows?

If syndromes father was gazerbeam and his mother was psychewave it would make sense he killed them. In Marvel comics Cyclops and Jean Grey had a child in another universe. That child was cloned and he grew up hating his parents and tried to kill them. This is important because the incredibles are based on the Fantastic four so it makes sense they would use other heroes(Cyclops shoots lasers and Jean is telepathic/telekinetic)

Did anyone notice how the threat levels on the screen of the superheroes that were killed suddenly jumps up after the first two? It adds support to them being syndromes parents

I know you won’t care at this point but I want to add to this theory. I think you’re right about the identity of Syndrome’s parents BUT I think he was raised by Plasmabolt, a member of the Phantasmics alongside Psycwave. I believe this because Plasmabolt liked to keep her hero and normal identities seperate, which would allow Syndrome to have a Super mother without suspecting that he’s a Super . Plasmabolt would eventually show Syndrome Nomanisan Island and tell him about his real parents. This is why Syndrome knows the password to the computer,why Plasmabolt is the only member of the Phantasmics not to be killed off during Operation Kronos and how Syndrome managed to take control of the Island.

Okay wait but did you notice that on the top right corner of the pictures of the killed supers it has their threat rating listed. Universal man's ratinf is 2.9 and psycwave's is 1.6 which seem to be the lowest rated supers listed and would further support the theory of them being buddy's parents because you obviously wouldnt suspect your own child to kill you!!!!!

I wonder why nobody ever talks about the fact there are a couple of supers that might not have died via Syndrome or a cape accident. Let me explain: In the film, every single super from the NSA files is shown in either Edna's speech about capes, or Syndrome's Omnidroid testing, bar one. That super is Plasmabolt, whose powers are described as plasma wave emission and emitting electromagnetic energy captured by her suit's antennae through her hands. Now, which team does she happen to be in? The Phantasmics. I personally believe that Plasmabolt was not killed by Syndrome on purpose, rather, that he had some sort of positive relationship with her. Now, there is also one other super mentioned, named Fironic, not seen in the NSA files, nor anywhere else. Fironic is only mentioned at one point in the film, as Syndrome uses zero point energy to lift a truck, a woman calls out "Is that Fironic?" and someone else then says "No, Fironic has a different outfit." This suggests to me, plus evidence from the new character in The Incredibles 2 as leaked by Pixar: Voyd. She's definitely a super, as judging by her outfit. Due to the fact she never once appeared in the film, either through Edna, Syndrome, or the NSA files, this presents two possibilities: She is either a super from another country where the NSA does not have jurisdiction (*National* Supers Agency). It could also mean she's a super not widely known enough for the NSA to have files on her. I believe that this could also apply for Fironic. Now, judging by the fact Syndrome is incorrectly recognised as Fironic, they are likely male, and have some sort of telekinesis ability, or something similar to Syndrome's zero point energy. I'm probably wrong with all this, but... hey.

Why is no one mentioning the fact that Phylange looks a lot like buddy? He could have just killed the first people to take the island

What if Apogee and Phylange are Violet's biological parents?? Also, what if Gazerbeam was the one who got the adoption in way by introducing the fairly newly married couple to Violet? I believe this because they were all part of the Thrilling Three, but Gazerbeam had died last out of them. Bob Parr also seems a little upset the Gazerbeam had gone missing. Even though there was obviously supers disappearing quite often. I also noticed that Phylange left the Thrilling Three because he saw it as "Gazerbeam's Gang". He denies this being the reason he claims it was a "Democratic decision". I have another idea however, what if Phylange got Apogee pregnant and due to his selfish behavior (as described on the bonus disc info) he leaves the group not wanting to deal with the child (A.K.A Violet Parr). Violet's powers can also be explained by the genetic blend of Phylange and Apogee. Apogee has the ability of Gravity control and gains power from the sun. Violet could have gain an ability to refract sun light or become "invisible" from her Mom. I then believe the way she makes a "force field" is a mix of Apogee's gravitational abilities and Phylange's sonic field voice projection. I believe Violet's "force fields" could be the gravitational energy 'projecting' in a sonic field. She can also control the gravity in the field. This is shown when Violet puts a "force field" around herself and Flash. She hovers above him as he speeds the field showing a difference in gravitational force in the sonic field. Just like Apogees ability of "gravity control". I have more but don't want to makes this too large. Hope you find this atleast a tiny bit of a mind blow.

I think that Mirage might be a Russian spy. The Incredibles is said to take place in the 60's, which is supported by the creator's word and the fact that DynaGuy was at the Parr wedding before dying, with his death being in 1957. This means that the Incredibles take place during the Cold War. To be more specific, it likely takes place during the Vietnam War based on one calculation in another RU-vid video suggesting the film takes place in 1966. If the Incredibles does take place in 1966, it would be around the time that Lyndon Johnson escalated American involvement in the Vietnam War, so I think now we know how and why governments would have bought weapons from someone as sketchy as Syndrome. He likely sold weapons to the United States and North Vietnam, and possibly every other country involved with the war, including South Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, Philippines, New Zealand, Khmer Republic, the Kingdom of Laos, China, Viet Cong, Khmer Rouge, Pathet Lao, Taiwan, North Korea, Cuba, and the Soviet Union. Maybe Mirage was Syndrome's contact during a deal with Russia or some other group. Maybe that is why she still sticks with Syndrome: to help him carry out the destruction of America's heroes. As far as I am aware, all of the supers were of American origin. If Seamus Gorman's theory about not all the supers being banned is true, than that means that the Soviet Union would have had a fear of the United States using the supers on them or perhaps on North Vietnam, so Mirage watches and helps Syndrome carry out his genocide so that way one of the United States' most valuable weapons that Russia likely lacks, will no longer exist. I also doubt she is an American citizen or of American origin at all since she says that according to the government she doesn't exist. Maybe this is because she is a top secret Soviet spy who met Syndrome while trying to obtain weapons for the Vietnam War and stayed with Syndrome to help him get rid of a group of people who could end up being a threat to Communism.

this may be a bit of a wild-card buut, I feel like Edna somehow knew about the situation with Buddy??? Or if anything, speculated, if that makes sense?? there is a moment in the film, that isnt very long, and is mostly speculated, but possible to look into. When Mrs. Incredible (her name eludes me atm) is talking to Edna, realizing Bob had not been telling her the truth, Edna says "so you don't know where he is. would you like to find out?" ...almost as if she ALREADY KNEW where Bob was. Is it possible Edna had investigated Buddy after Gazer Beam went missing? or maybe even after Bob went to see her because she wanted to know what kind of trouble this man was getting himself into?? Maybe you theorists can investigate into that more? either way, one thing is for sure...Edna is more than what meets the eye. bonus, who could have designed Buddy's suit??? and who could have known capes are...especially dangerous..?

Surprisingly, the story that pops into my head the most when thinking about Mirage was the demoness Lilah from the Incarnations of Immortality series. Lilah worked for the Devil, and did his bidding. She would be whatever he required her to be, and what she wanted in return was respect. Once each incarnation of the Devil lost respect for her, she would choose and help a replacement to overthrow him. I know it's not the same, but seems familiar.

I like the idea of Mirage as AI, but I don't know if I'd buy it because of how much emotion she shows. She's angry when Syndrome uses her to see if Mr Incredible would kill, and looked genuinely happy when Bob hugged her after she released him. I actually have a theory that Mirage may be another super, one with a less obvious power like Syndrome. Or she may have been closely connected to supers in some way, like Edna. But why she stuck around with Syndrome, I have no clue.

Personally, I like the idea that Syndrome was born powerless. He was the child of Gazerbeam and Psycwave, and was left without powers, using his parent’s tech on the island to try to create artificial power. However, his parent divorced(hence Gazerbeam leaving) for some reason, and this left little Buddy on his own. That’s why he is wandering the streets and free to do whatever he wants as a child. His parents are both separating busy Supers.. However instead of idolizing the father that left him, he looks up to the new Super in town, Mr. Incredible.

I was watching Coraline when I saw the jars of taffy that the two old ladies give Coraline are dated at similar times the ghost children would have been alive. (Just something I noticed) Also, the Seeing Stone they give Coraline in that scene; it isn't far fetched that they would have it. The mushroom ring and the seeing stone are common in defending against witch craft and evil, and we see the two women have dabbled in that general area when they read Coraline's tea rings. I do think Coraline went home when she escaped the mirror, but that Belldamn has more power in our world than we realized.

Along with what Abbie said about him possibly being able to manipulate their reactions, he also did kill quite a few powerful superheroes. I think it's all three of the points: - He's developed fantastic AI and made a lot of progression with technological science - He may have psychic abilities passed down through his mother, which would allow him to manipulate others' reactions (though I have to add, and you would probably know if the guards did or not, but would the guards know if Syndrome has psychic powers? If so, they might be avoiding thinking bad thoughts about him because he'd be able to read their thoughts ??) - The amount of superheroes he's been able to kill would be terrifying to lowly guardsmen. I most definitely wouldn't mess with him. Just a little more extra rambling: His robots are comparable to the Guardians in the Legend of Zelda BOTW, if you're familiar with the game. Though the Guardians are small and most of Syndrome's robots are larger, if not gigantic, the Guardian Stalkers and his robots both have (and don't quote me on any of this, because I haven't watched the Incredibles in a long time and it was never really one of my favorite movies to begin with) multiple long legs that can be ripped off to decrease mobility, they both have an armored body, and they both have a main "control" part, which is the smallest part on the body and would take the most damage if attacked, and, if destroyed, would make the machine practically useless.

It’s possible the island with an active volcano was chosen to be the setting for pitting supers against robots partly because of Frozone. He was ranked as one of the higher threats in the database and was the next target before they switched to Bob... had they not changed targets Frozone wouldn’t have been unable to conjure any ice due to the air being too hot and likely would’ve died. Just another layer to Buddy’s evil plan to consider when talking about the island...

Personally, I don't think even Syndrome imagined he was capable of creating an self aware AI. Moreso that he eventually made the Omnidroid so adaptable to anything that it saw as a threat, that eventually it even saw its own creator as a threat when Syndrome intended to face off against it. (Ironically enough, his plan worked a little too well for his own good.) To add to this, many of the folks roped into Syndrome's plan (Mirage perhaps, being one of the few exceptions), seemed almost casual about their roles in the matter. In fact, the ones in the van that the Incredible family eventually hikacks were popping champaigne and even opting to "take a drink every time they run and screen" (in reference to the Omnidroid's upcoming terrorization of the city). It seems less like they were much in the AI, more like they were in it for fun... Or perhaps have something against the Supers that they hoped Syndrome would fix. Mirage though, seems to be the odd one out in this regard, as despite being in on Syndrome's plans, she is alot more empathetic towards Mr. Incredible. While she claims to be "attracted to power", like Syndrome supposedly is, one has to wonder if there is some sort of deeper meaing behind what she says. This is further evidenced when Syndrome's apparent lack of regard for human life was frowned upon, as Mirage does not view it as weakness at all (in fact she views it as a strength. Perhaps the sort of "power" that she herself was attracted to). It's hard to say what her exact goals were when she joined up with Syndrome, whether she once believed in the cause that Syndrome did... Only opening her eyes once she witnessed his atrocities first hand, or if she had wormed her way to his side in order to keep him in check when he flew too far off the handle, but in the end... I really doubt she is an android, much less some sort of AI Syndrome created, as he hardly even perfected the Omnidroid in the first place. (The thing was designed with the sole purpose to adapt, and overcome all that is saw as an opponent/threat, and while it can adapt to the offensive tactics used against it, and even mimic its opponents when applicable, the Omnidroid does not seem to have much else of a "purpose" to it per say... Which is evidently the result of Syndrome's short-sightedness in terms of its applications.)

Alternately the KRONOS password could be a backdoor password hardwired into the system by Gazerbeam before he moved to the other team in case he ever needed to access the files. This would allow the former team, any government agency and Buddy to change passwords and access at any time but would prevent the backdoor from being closed without dismantling and changing out a portion of the computer that had KRONOS hardwired into it. Several computer repair experts do this to any computer they work on in case the owner forgets their password. This allows them to access the systems and reset the normal password.

Also, another thing that points about Syndrome's parents, is that when you look in the order of all the supers that Syndrome killed, you can see their threat rating, and we see that his parents have the lowest rating out of all the phatasmics. To me, it's an important thing.

In Syndrome's computer, it said that Mr. Incredibles was eliminated, but he wasn't. What if Mirage was a super hero on that computer identified as eliminated when she was actually still alive? What if Syndrome still kept her alive because she knew secrets only supers knew? What I'm trying to say is maybe Syndrome kept her alive so that he can use her for some information he couldn't find out? (since he isn't a super). For an example, Maybe he kept her alive to use the information for the island or his plan so that it could be harder for supers to defeat him. Or defeat him at all? She did admit that the government doesn't know that neither her or Mr. incredibles was alive. By the way, when I said she was a super, my theory is that she worked alone like Mr. Incrdibles, elastic girl, frozone, and etc... Maybe she was either an underrated super or was a super that never helped save the world. But at the end she turned against Syndrome because she have had enough and she didn't want any more supers to get eliminated. (Because she was a super herself). And the part when the theorizer mentioned why she still stayed with Syndrome, my theory is that Mirage wanted to find out who the next super Syndrome was going to eliminate next and the plan so that she can help out the next super. What if Gazerbeam was Syndrome's father, not everseer? That revelation could have been what sparked his annihilation of the Phantasmics. After learning that Everseer had kicked his dad out he got angry and attacked. When that failed he began making omnidriods.
