The default setting in the preferences only allow 2 decks to play at a time on the DDJ-800. In this video, I will show you how to activate a 4 decks to play simultaneously. Chatty Rodriguez video: • DDJ 800 Activación 4 D...
So I get how to get the deck responsive again, but is there a simplified way of resetting the channel before you switch it, so you don't have to remember what change you made?
Great videos - thank you! In my Rekordbox for some reason there is no 'Mixer Mode' setting under Mixer in Preferences > Controller. I'm so frustrated! Any idea how to find this? Using DDJ 1000 and need to view all 4 decks in the software on MacBook screen :)
@@priyonjoni So..... I'm having a issue with this..... I had actually updated from a ddj 400 to a 800 for use of the 4 decks but got discouraged when I made changes and try to go back to a particular channel and it was unresponsive.... Could someone simply the process for me that's the easiest... So say u go from deck 2 which you've made changes to deck 4,then u go back to deck 2, before its responsive, u need to put it back to where it was before u made the change? For me tho, I'll probably let deck 2 finish playing completely before I switch to 4...so what would be easiest, cutting it back to where it was as the song ends before you switch, or go to deck 4 and start it then return to deck 2 and set it back to where it was? It's kinda hard to remember sometimes.
@@djdgordonreviews4671 yes, i think that's how the controls share the decks. e.g.: let's say you bring the level fader down to 25% on deck 2 and then go to deck 4 to adjust the level and set deck 4 to 50%. when you return to deck 2 the level fader won't change anything on deck 2 until you bring it back to where you left off (on deck 2 25%). the controller "picks up" the setting once you return to it to avoid abrupt changes in volume or eq on decks while they are playing. native instruments controllers can switch between this setting and whatever value the fader is currently sitting at (relative vs absolute values). i hope this helps
Thanks for this, question you may be able answer for me? Is there a way of using split cue using the ddj 800? I can’t find it anywhere in the setting ????
Thanx for the video, I had to do the same search when I got the DDJ-RR, I went to use channel 3 and nothing. I found a DJ name Harmindoe (spelled wrong).

I currently use a ddj 200. Can I do 4 deck mixing on this or only on the higher end models? Am considering getting two xdj 1000s , and already have my own mixer for this setup - is it only with the actual all in one controllers that you can use more than 2 decks ? Its a very confusing area , where there seems to be little actual information from pioneer on specifications. What I am trying to do with all this is hopefully have my usb in an xdj , and my mates in the other , and then we would be trying to do 4 deck mixing using two virtual decks each (but only one xdj each)
thank you . but sometimes i come across a issue. When I switch back from deck 4 to deck 2. Deck 2 is not working. it doesn't happen all the time. can you please tell me why ?
nice one ! but shouldnt be better if it doesnt retain channel knobs when we switched to deck 4 ? it would be good to leave them at default imo. im little bit confused.
@@priyonjoni 5:26 , i mean that when you switch from 2nd deck to 4th deck channel knobs remain the same and it affects the 4th deck . I think it shouldnt affect the 4 th deck because you wouldnt want it to ruin the track on 4th deck . Maybe i'm wrong but that would be better in my opinion .Sorry for bad english by the way :)
@@priyonjoni okay...for instance....say I got a song on channel 1.....a instrumental to mix on channel 2,both playing at the same time........ so the song in channel 1 ends and the instrumental in 2 is looped...u bring the next song in channel 4 and instrumental in 3... Now when u go back to channel 1 it's not responsive until you turn the settings back to where you changed them from.........I often forget what I did.....I'm Just trying to find a way to set it back before I switch so when I return to it,it's already ready.....is that possible? Can u make a video?
