'One can set a thousand to flight, but two can set ten thousand to flight." What resonates to me from this message is accountability. We need people in our corner that will correct us when we are out of sync with our application. Praise God for His Word and the spirit of truth!

Dr. Cloud; your book changed my Life 3 decades ago. I keep buying paperback copies whenever I see them at the thrift store so I can give them away. Thank you!

Oh gosh...hearing Henry talk about spending money. My parents also had me later in life and they grew up in the 40s...my grandma and my mom were so tight with money. And even though I'm on BS6 I stills struggle with whether I can spend the money on a new dollar tree spatula

I have learned so much from you, your dad, and the rest of the Ramsey team. Now I just need to adjust my behavior to put it all into practice. Hardest part for me.

Rachel I love how you target the younger couples with children and finances for the long-term. My husband and I are senior citizens, age 70 and 75, and we need a financial planner that knows how to work with older people, specifically. People in retirement, people facing care center costs. people paying $10,000 a year in out-of-pocket medical costs that are not covered by life insurance, long term care insurance or Meficare. We seniors (especially those who already riased and educated our children and then have been widowed or divorced and started over at mid-life.) I listen/watch Dave Ramsey and Chris Hogan but I have not yet listened to a "guide" that specifically works with seniors. I feel like this is a "target market' that is not being addressed by your team. Not even my own financial planner adresses these issues. It's too late to buy life insurance or long term care insurance for us. Any suggestions?

I’m glad you bring this up. I’m not there yet but it is important and even for younger folks to plan ahead.

AARP offers a course targeted to seniors and people planning for retirement- I took a condensed version of it at work a few years ago. Maybe take a look at their site? It also sounds like you may need to shop around for a new CFP.

Oh, also - even Suze Orman seems to have changed her tune regarding LTC insurance. She used to recommend it, but she said that in more recent years she’s seen premiums increased to the point that people who were paying for it for years now can’t afford the premiums. I don’t recall what she recommended instead, but you should be able to find it easily through an internet search. It may also make sense to think outside the box - my friend mentioned that one of her friends found a live-in nanny whose pay was about $1,000 / month + free room and board. It was through a service that brings young girls here from other countries. I have to wonder if you could do something like that instead of an assisted living home.

Love hearing Dr Cloud! Can't wait till my audible points post so I can listen to your new book Rachel...sounds amazing!! We were debt free and getting to emergency fund.... but 2019 had a surprise move, wedding and medical bills so now we are back on baby step 2 (for only a few more months)....at 50 I want to be saving for retirement not starting all over with bs 2 and 3🙄 but here we are.

You need an accountability partner when making changes with money. I made an impulsive decision the other night because we were eating socially I thought ice cream sounded good. Even though I fed 6 people with $8, I could’ve saved $8 by not getting the ice cream to start with lol. Thank you Hubby!

How is her new book different from the previous one? I read the last one and it was a great read, but feel as if this book would be repetitive. No shade. Just would like some feedback on it before I buy it
