What is so elegant about this is how simple it is. Now I also have a way to put the battery on a battery maintainer when I am allowing it to sit unused for a while. The tire is a magnet 🧲 😀.

Instead of running both connections directly to your battery and the ports always being live ⚠️ You could bring your HOT up to the front of the bike and find the connector that your ignition switch is wired to. Use a multimeter to test each wire in the connector until you find one that reads 12v with the key on and 0 volts with the key off, then splice into that one... that way, when you turn your scooter off, it kills the USB ports and doesn't risk draining your battery. It sounds taxing, but it's actually much easier to do than what it sounds like. I done it on a Powermax 150 TaoTao

This is great. So easy. The only thing is the battery is always live so the USB would drain the battery even when not in use. A switch would fix that.

If anyone Is going to try this I'd recommend using a forstner bit because it makes a more perfectly round and clean hole

What's the outlet for ? Can you add LED lights for that outlet

Would an actual cigarette lighter from a car work in that socket?
